Detailed Reviews
On arrival we were welcomed by a lovely young lady who was both pleasant & helpful.
We were almost blown away by the spacious clean rooms. Well appointed, clean spacious and with a lovely enclosed courtyard where we could sit in peace & quit and enjoy sundowners.
The Motel is around 800m from the village with shops & restaurants to cover most of ones needs.
My only complaint was our rooms shower was so limited in water flow that we could barely wash our hair (but our friends shower was fine) and the BBQ facilities were a little neglected, although we managed to cook a lovely dinner on one we found that was in reasonable condition.
Would I recommend the establishment .. well hell yes !!

Lovely motel just down the road from ‘town’ with restaurants and cafes. Rooms are clean and very spacious. When the road back to Auckland was closed due to flooding they extended my check out and rang to let me know when the road was open again - great service. Would recommend and stay again.

During our stay at Tairua Shores motel Steven was extremely accomodation to my group as we struggled to find accomodation over the New Years period. The accomodation was clean and the facilities provided were immaculate. Steven went above and beyond for our stay and we highly appreciated it. We were blown away by our stay at the motel and would highly recommend to any friends or family.

I was greeted with a friendly welcome at reception, always appreciated after a long journey. I was impressed to find how spacious, clean and comfortable (and well equipped) the "Garden Chalet" was. Consisting of a single room functioning as bedroom (a very comfortable bed) lounge/dining and a kitchen area. A separate toilet/shower room. Accessed through sliding glass doors the chalet has it's own enclosed courtyard/garden. Parking is right outside the chalet which was handy. The front of the motel is located off the main road into Tairua, around 500 meters or so from the shops, cafes, etc. The back of the motel is on a quiet road, about 100 meters from the estuary, ferry / fishing wharf and local scenic walks. Staff were friendly and helpful and helped make it a relaxing stay. I definitely recommend and I will being staying there again.

We booked this motel last minute as we couldn't travel through Auckland due to Covid level 3 there. We're pleased we did, it is very clean and host Steven is very helpful. We didn't know it was right next to the Tairua ramp but that was super convenient. Close to shops and restaurants.

The unit was really nice, had everything we needed, and had a lovely private outside area. Great location and host. There wasn't much space to put our luggage (we were on the road for a couple of weeks), but that is a minor thing. A couple of other minor things that if attended to, would make me want to give this place 5 stars, are that the outdoor areas needed tidying up, lots of weeds, looked a bit unkempt. The other thing was that the laundry had obviously not been cleaned for a very long time, so it wasn't pleasant going into it. The washing machine itself was clogged up with washing powder in the powder receptacle.

+1
Before read this check the photos which I sent. We have stayed this motel 2 nights. We paid close to 200 NZ Dollars per Night. We booked this motel via Internet before knowing anything paid for 3 Nights at the Motels Office. Unfortunately first night after we noticed that all devices are old and unusable. Even our bed and towels had not be done after first night. I went to Motels Office to complain and ask proper price for our staying. She completely lost her Nervs and shouted at me.
