A lovely place to stay. The room had a small garden with a picnic table, which was a nice touch. The rooms were nice and clean with the beds being very comfortable. Near the hotels were a few fast-food restaurants. owners were friendly kindly offering us free coffees in the mornings :)

What an awesome place to stay, from the minute you arrive and are greeted with a friendly smile & offered coffee and rice crackers soo yummy. The one bedroom accom was lovely and clean, comfy beds, roomy, cute courtyard area, own carpark, peaceful, quiet, plenty of kitchen appliances etc. Central to Hospitals - Middlemore, Ormiston as well as Manukau City Mall, Rainbows End & Auckland Airport. Would love to stay again and would highly recommend to others.

How often is it that you look at a accommodation websites and reviews and when you get there it is not what they say it was . Well the Grange is one of the exceptions it certainly delivers on everything it says it does . Pat & Bernie were marvelous hosts , from the hot muffins at check in to the the day we checked out nothing was too much trouble for this couple . Even though out of the city , the convenience of the bus outside the units made it a breeze to get in an out of town . Would highly recommend the Grange to all , and we will certainly be staying there again next time.

Oh and if you want a great feed to start your day Bernie does a great bacon an eggs.

well first off the people were friendly and the service was great , but the more you stay there the lack of assistance you get . been there for 2 months & the problem was about the sheets and blankets , they would complain about how many times we would give them the sheets and blankets to wash.
Ants was another problem , all over the wall to the kitchen table.
The bed was uncomfortable it was to single beds stuck together. FLeas were also a big problem which my daughter was unsettled because of the bites , i complained to the reception & said they will do something about it but they didnt.
The other thing which was weird the landlord turn off our aircon which we did not know about. The maintance was good lovely ladies but the rooms were never cleaned , sometimes we will come back and the rooms werent done. But other then that it had all the knvifes folks plates , bowls fridge microwave and everything else which was good.

Stayed 1 night. Upgraded from single room to double at no extra cost. We were presented at check in with warm muffins. Plunger coffee supplied. Comfortable warm beds. Shower over bath. Not modern decor however quite adequate. We will be returning!

We are a family of four who stayed one night here at the beginning and end of our trip. Bernie and Pat are the most welcoming hosts I have ever encountered - it felt like we were staying with family. They made sure we were comfortable, gave us warm delicious muffins on arrival and gave us directions to go to the fabulous night markets just down the road. My husband was quite sick on our first night and Bernie and Pat made sure we got him to the nearest medical centre so we could continue with our trip. The facilities are very comfortable and immaculate. They suited us perfectly for our one night stays however it would be a great place to base yourself if visiting Auckland for a few days or more. We will definitely stay here again on our next visit. The Power Family.

It was so great to meet you both and your wonderful sons who are a credit to you both. We are so glad that your husbands sudden illness didn't detract from the rest of your holiday and I am very impressed that he managed to soldier on despite feeling so unwell. Thank you for your review - it means a lot to us and we will look forward to seeing you all again one day, soon I hope.

We arrived in Auckland after a long flight, and we are very glad to choose Grange Lodge as our first stay in the country. We were greeted by Bernie and her wonderful warm delicious muffins, and she was very helpful in showing us around. The unit we had was huge, and probably had the most amenities than any other places we stayed at while in NZ. We also got several visits from the very entertaining resident dog and cat, Mack & Sunshine. The only regret we had about Pat & Bernie's place is that we only stayed for one night!

One of the best place we stayed in while traveling NZ, and definitely will come back when we visit Auckland again. Thank you for your lovely hospitality, Pat and Bernie :)

The Service is Incredible! Right from when we booked we got a friendly email from Pat & Bernie asking if we needed any help with planning what to do in Auckland, they kindly sent us an envelope full of brochures which was an amazing help as we found some places we didnt even know existed.
When we arrived at the motel, we received warm chocolate chip muffins which went down a treat after our long road trip, the units were clean and had everything you could need.
Mack (the motel resident dog) was a particular favourite with our 6 year old son.
Pat & Bernie were ever so helpful with directions and anything we needed, they are just fantastic.
We were even back after dark one night after being out all day and found they had turned on the lights in our unit and shut our curtains for us so we didnt have to come back to a dark unit.
We actually preferred this location rather than being right in the city, we were quite central to most things and the motel was quiet.
Highly Recommend!

After a long flight from the USA, we just wanted to sleep and this motel was perfect. Pat was wonderful and even greeted us when we showed up after hours. The welcome muffins were exactly what we needed. I also liked the free wifi.

Never having been to Auckland before my wife and I were uncertain about where to stay after our long haul flight and the fact that we needed to collect our hire car from the airport. We eventually decided on the Grange Motel, it was closer to the airport and would give us time to adjust to our "new" surroundings. We were not to be disappointed, the hotel is all we could have wished for. We arrived late afternoon and were shown to our apartment. Self contained, large and airy, clean and quiet. During our month long touring holiday of New Zealand my wife made notes of all the places we stayed, At first she was sceptical of my choice but had to admit that The Grange Motel came out way above the others.

Free parking right outside your unit.

Thank you for your enquiry. The bus stop is right outside the motel. It is about a 45 minute trip into the CBD as the bus meanders through the suburbs. Taking your own car would be about 20 minutes. Our local township, Hunters Corner, Papatoetoe is a 9 minute walk away. The Mall has numerous eateries and cafes. Local restaurants are just past the Mall,

Hello there. We are not near the venue you need to be at. Probably one of the airport hotels/motels would suit you. They may be able to help you with the sitter requirements too. Kind regards
