We stayed at this lovely Lodge for a few nights to visit family in the area. What a find! The Lavender Suite and en suite bathroom were wonderful. The bed was so comfortable it felt like sleeping on a cloud. The area is extremely quiet and the property is so pretty and secluded. The decor is charming and the little attention to detail was so appreciated. The delicious home made chocolates, the liqueur for a nice nightcap, tea and biscuits. Just delightful. Brian and Heather were very friendly and welcoming. What a perfect place to stay.

What a delightful B&B. A gorgeous colonial home nestled amongst trees in a beautiful garden at the end of the lane. All you want for breakfast and a comfy bed with comfy pillows. Thank you to owners Brian and Heather for a lovely stay.

House was beautiful. We had the lavender room which was detached from the main house so we had all our privacy. I think there are 2 other rooms in the main house with a share bathroom. Suggest booking the lavender room which was so pretty. Everything lavender and there is also a small coffee and tea corner with homemade biscuit for guest.
The house is set in a beautiful garden with a swimming pool. Unfortunately the weather was not ideal for swimming when we were there. Pity it was such a short stay just 1 night.
Nearby the house about 1km away there is a supermarket and restaurant so it is very convenient. 40mins drive and you are in the middle of Auckland city.
Met Heather briefly but we had a lovely chat with Brian during breakfast. Brian is the prefect host and he makes good breakfast.
Highly recommend
Thank you

Stayed here because of proximity to family. Really good B&B. We stayed in the Lavender cottage which was adjacent to the main house. Very clean and well presented. Brian the host was great and breakfast was very good. Nice garden to relax in the sun and only five minute walk from the beach. Great stay and would recommend.

Stumbled upon Brookwood Lodge whilst looking for hotel options in the area. Literally, 11/10 for this wonderful experience. The care and attention to detail was simply exceptional, and the warmth and kindness of the hosts made for a very memorable stay.

The breakfast was perfect - handmade treats and immaculate service - it's been a long time since my wife and I have dined in such style, especially for a breakfast.

A perfect night's rest for a very modest fee.

Look no further... The house and setting were perfect too, and we discovered at the end of our stay that a ferry could take us into downtown Auckland for just $10.

Brilliant.

Stayed here with my son for 1 night and it was an absolute delight. The Lavender room is very well appointed and very comfortable. Breakfast was awesome and we stayed at the table chatting with Brian for ages. Great hosts. The house and grounds are really stunning, especially considering it is right in the middle of Beachlands suburb. Highly recommended

Our first stop on arrival NZ. Great situation to unwind after long flight, 1hr AKL, frequent ferries to city, this is a small uncomplicated seaside/rural suburb. Ambience at Brookwood Lodge great, calm, lovely flower filled spacious garden, luxurious accommodation. We had Lavender cottage, concur other reviews. Our hosts showed true kiwi hospitality: on arrival, Brian took an hour out to drive us around and orientate us. Breakfasts great too! A truly supurb place to stay.

We spent 2 nights in the Lilac room - very comfortable and the breakfasts were more than sufficient to set you up for the day. Particularly noteworthy - the homemade toasted raisin bread! Brian is very personable and chatted to us at breakfast, offered advice on travel in and around Auckland and was most accommodating. The location was close to friends of ours and not far from the ferry to Auckland city. Lovely gardens and a pool to use, although we did not use it. No doubt about recommending it for others to use...

My friend and I stayed at Brookwood Lodge with hosts Brian and Heather and they made us feel so "at home". The standard of their accommodation was faultless with such delicious breakfasts of fresh fruit salad, home-made muesli, fresh juices and the perfect cup of tea and coffee. The rooms were fresh and very clean with crisp linen and a tray of essential items presented in an elegant manner. Brian gave us all the local information we needed to find our way around and ensured that we were familiar with our surroundings with ferry and bus timetables. The property has a beautifully maintained garden and friendly sheep "chat" with you over the fence. I was sad to leave!
