Typing this just prior to checking out after a 2 week stay in managed isolation at the Sebel Manukau. The time has flown by and it’s a credit to the quality of the property, the staff, and the food. I was stoked when I walked into my room with a large queen bed (2 singles pushed together), large tv, microwave, desk, fridge, modern functional bathroom, quality linen. Good aircon when required but opening window to rear carpark was a bonus. The staff were polite, professional, and eager to please at all times. Laundry and linen service was efficient and interactions regarding deliveries were also seamless. As MIQ was full board, food was included and it was awesome. It can only reflect positively on the quality of food offered during normal operations. Also, I ordered a few beers while waiting for some to be delivered from ‘the outside’ and they were great value, fresh, and icy cold. Lastly, the area for exercise while in MIQ was the sanity saver. I ran and walked every day of quarantine (when not room-bound for final 2 days). Oh, and WIFI was great when I thrashed it watching Apple TV. General Manager Rajiv Mathew, his staff, NZ Defence personnel, and private security run a damn good hotel quarantine operation.

Im so thankful we got to do 14 days here at the sebel. Its a nice new accommodation. We had top floor in a large room with kitchenette and I enjoyed the view looking out towards the city with lots of sky view, so didnt feel boxed in at all. I was very impressed with the service and staff. Everything was well organised, lots of information given, lovely people from the security, reception, army guys, health care to room service and meals. Bookings for outdoor walks as many times as you wanted if spaces were free. Lovely meals, special valentines dinner menu was a beautiful bonus treat. Really enjoyed stay here, probably would not have minded extra days it was so good! Thank you so much to Sebel staff during covid 19. A great work well done!

Stayed here while up in Auckland for a sports event. It was relatively close to the airport and located near the motorway. It your wanting to be close to the city then this isn’t the place for you. Rooms was well laid out, staff friendly, comp drink on arrival, tasty breakfast on the morning. Very nice stay overall but not very glam surroundings if your thinking about staying somewhere to impress a girlfriend or loved one.

Stayed here two weeks in quarantine after arriving back from overseas. I was impressed with the hotel staff in the limited amount of time there was engagement with staff during my managed isolation. In particular, the restaurant was outstanding in managing meals and variety of food for this length of stay. I found the meals nourishing and balanced, well prepared and presented and also of great taste.

After 6 months working from home, I was granted a rare essential worker visa to travel to NZ from Australia. upon arrival I was taken to the Sebel Hotel in Manukau City. I had a very positive experience in this hotel, the property was managed by Sebel staff, security contractors NZ Defence force and department of health. I was treated like a human being the whole time and everyone was very professional. The hotel is fairly new and I got a room on ground level, not much of a view but the room was spacious, comfortable and modern. I could sleep really well in there. WIFI was excellent and TV channels had plenty of options for movies. Staff was very attentive and super helpful. Food was managed thru contractors I believe so it was hit and miss, I had some very nice meals over the 2 week period. The highlight of this hotel for me is the ability to slightly open your room window, fresh air makes all the difference specially during managed isolation.
