Never stay here unless you have no other option than sleeping on road(Road still have some standards) First time writing review for a property and this motel made me write a review. Moulded curtains, broken door handles, outdated facilities, damaged kitchen and un-certified appliances ALL in for an expensive rate...
The rooms and beds are comfortable in what is a typical, standard (and slightly dated) NZ motel. Location quite good for walking into town, which is a limited experience! Staff were really helpful. Could be rather noisy.
I was charged very much a premium for my stay. So at the very least I would expect there there would be lights in my room. Yes, I said lights... Clean hotel good food and also all staffs are very helpful and excellent. Forgot some staffs name in restaurants they are very perfect in service. Room are very neat and clean. Branded toiletries. Very happy
So the staff at check in was fantastic, overall an easy check in experience, great attitude and easy to book last minute. As most reviews say the rooms are dated but that’s okay, I’m here for a minimum amount of time all I wanted was to jump into my nice clean bed and sleep..... well that’s where it went wrong, I always check for bugs etc as I work in aviation so I’ve learnt in the last 16 years of traveling to check and sadly there was a few moving bugs. Little yellow ones. Now to be fair I haven’t spoken to the owners yet and I understand these things do happen, but now I’m laying on top of the sheets trying to sleep, but wide awake scratching and unable to stop #firstworldproblems #getacampervan #imbeingdramaticbutitchy
