We stayed three nights in this absolutely lovely B&B at the edge of Hahei. We had a large, lovely, bright, comfy and thoughtfully decorated room with a small fridge, coffee and tea facilities (with daily replenished cookies and chocolate bars), private WC and terrace looking out into a perfectly manicured tropical garden. There is pool if you feel the need after an ocean swim and close by is the excellent café nd restaurant „The Church“ in a former... church, of course. Sue and Phil were the hosts you wish and long for: friendly, always ready for a chat, helpful with advice and maps. And they do prepare a great breakfast with choice of eggs and bacon or waffles, with muesli, fresh fruits, smoothie, toast and jams. It’s taken together with other guests (there are few rooms) in the living room area at a large table. So, you can even make new friends! We would have loved to stay longer, but it was our final destination before the pre-Corona flight back on one of the very last regular connections.

Phil and Sue, from first enquiries, through to the warm welcome we received, were extremely friendly, helpful and all round wonderful hosts.

Accomodations are exquisitely presented and luxurious as per their website. The rooms had everything you would expect from luxury accomodation.

The morning after saw a wonderful selection of breakfast options - toasted muesli and fresh fruit to start, followed by a beautifully presented cooked breakfast (our other delicious choice was fresh pancakes :-) ).

We will highly recommend to other friends and family, and one day hope to return.

A most lovely B&B with wonderful hosts Chris & Phil. Wonderful spacious room (Hibiscus) overlooking their delightful garden and pool. Delicious breakfast - luscious freshly sliced fruits, special yoghurty dish and full English if you had room. Everything about this place oozed quality. The only disappointment was that we only had 2 nights there - should have made it at least a week!

Beautiful house, superbly maintained gardens, pool, beautiful rooms with attention to detail and an exceptionally good breakfast. Our best B&B on our 5-week trip through New Zealand. Sue and Phil are the perfect hosts! Helpful, courteous and warm... would come back anytime and can recommend the B&B 100%!!

What a wonderful stay. An immaculate, lovingly cared for property with delightful gardens. Phil and Sue were the perfect, welcoming hosts. They are a mine of information on where to go and what to do. We stayed in Hibiscus, which was beautifully furnished; comfortable and with lovely views from the two terraces. Super breakfast to set you up for the day.
It’s a great location, on the edge of the village, and convenient for all the delights of the Coromandel.

My husband and I recently traveled to NZ from the USA for the first time, and the hospitality we received at Hahei B&B made it the most special part of our trip. Sue and Phil treated us like family, providing shovels, towels, a beach bag and chilled waters for our foray to the nearby Hot Water Beach, where we dug in the sand to create our own spa. They were happy to give directions to an easy pick up point for our glass bottomed boat and snorkeling afternoon, and were helpful in making dinner reservations for us each evening at their favorite restaurants.

We happened to travel just as fear of the Corona virus was spreading across the world, and meeting other couples at the morning breakfast table to compare stories and perspectives was a comfort. Phil and Sue’s delicious, healthy breakfast overlooking their lovely outdoor space was a perfect way to begin each day.

Between their kindness and the beauty of the area, this was definitely our favorite stop on our tour of the North Island.

We stayed in the Cabin which was bright, clean, comfortable and spacious for the 2 of us. The Cabin has basic cooking facilities which enabled us to eat in 2 nights, and enjoy the local eateries the other 2 nights. We loved the spacious grounds, spent a lot of time by the pool, and enjoyed great hospitality from Phil and Sue, the owners. The shops and beach are an easy walking distance, yet far enough away to be quiet and private. Totally recommend. We'll be back again.

What a wonderful bnb in a beautiful place! Sue and Phil couldn’t have been more welcoming. The room had everything we needed. We were on the second floor so we also had access to a living area, a fridge and a coffee maker and snacks. The breakfasts were delicious and they helped us get a wonderful Zodiak tour of Cathedral Cove nearby. They also have beautiful flowers that surround the property and a pool. I wish it weren’t so far away. We’d love to go back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely B&B in Hahei. Phil and Sue were wonderful hosts and very knowledgeable about the area. Their recommendations were top notch. Phil drove us to the beginning of the walk to .cathedral Cove and the following day made spades available to us for a trip to Hot Wqter Beach, along with beach towels. The breakfasts were excellent and just what you wanted to start the day. Honestly, can’t say enough good things. Phil also gave us great advice on getting to Hahei , particularly as a lot of raids were washed out.
