This review is a little overdue as we stayed here in October. This is a very comfortable B&B made outstanding by the hosting of Phil and Sue. They gave us a very warm welcome and great suggestions of places to eat and walk. It's an easy walk to the beach and they really couldn't do any more to make your stay a good one even offering shovels and towels to take to Hot Water beach. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we were in the area.
Hahei B&B was recommended to us by friends who had stayed here and we were not disappointed. The location is good - easy walk to the beach, shops and restaurants - the facilities are great, but the hosts, Sue and Phil, are wonderful- they made us so welcome and were very friendly and helpful. They made our stay in Hahei truly memorable.
What a great discovering this was! We spent one night here as part of a larger roadtrip around the North Island. The location is great (the town is not big, so very walkable). The house was designed with B+B in mind - so had a "wing" specifically for guests. We had a "garden view" room on the second floor - overlooking the back yard. This place was so clean, and so comfortable. The room was so bright and airy - loved the little veranda and also the "common" area with coffee/tea etc. Phil and Sue were amazing hosts, super friendly and hospitable with such great knowledge of the area and tips for what to see and do. Easy walk to Cathedral cove and the beach. We absolutely loved our stay. It was also really quiet - not just in terms of location, but how the place is…
We stayed here for a night in their hibiscus room and it was quite lovely . Our hosts were welcoming and warm and made us feel very comfortable. The room is large and comfortable with seating area and cupboards. This suite has a bathroom and toilet along with a large room and a patio with a beautiful view. We were offered breakfast which was sufficient . It’s a great place to stay and is close to the market which has some good eating options .
Phil and Sue made our stay in Hahei incredible! They offered to drive us to and from the Cathedral Cove car park and even provided us shovels for the Hot Water Beach. They went out of their way to cater to our every need, even waking up at 6:30 to make us an early morning breakfast. We would recommend this B&B to anyone visiting Hahei!
