Detailed Reviews
This was only a one-night stay but we wish we could have stayed longer. Wonderful view over the town. All the advice from the host about what to visit nearby was much appreciated. We were driven up to a local car-park to assist us in walking down to the Cathedral cove during the evening. The following morning we headed along to the hot pools beach before breakfast (to fit in with the low tide). Breakfast was cooked to order and shared with other guests.

We only stayed one night at Hahei Horizon Bed and Breakfast. We would have love to stay longer!
The hosts are just so lovely! Our room was perfect! From the B&B, you can easily reach major tourist sites of the region. And how can we not talk about the breakfast?!? Delicious, marvelous! Juice, coffee/tea, bread, eggs or even pancakes if you want. Depending on the weather, you eat either outside or inside. Anyway, the view of the Ocean is simply beautiful.
Highly recommended if you want to visit the Coromandel peninsula.

We only stayed one night but they were so helpful. We got in late at night but they welcomed us and gave us some tips about what to do around the area. They also made a delicious breakfast for us. It was my first time trying marmite and I loved it!
Great location that you could walk into town but I'd recommend driving in your car if you are going to try to make it to Cathedral Cove for Sunrise which is what we did.
Their home has a beautiful view of the ocean as well. Would definitely recommend staying here!

We had the downstairs room which was large and had its own separate entrance. Well situated in Hahei with a short walk to eateries. Could hear people above preparing breakfast but this was not too early. Friendly hosts and a good breakfast. Breakfast ate outside with views towards the sea.

Our second time here. The photo does it no credit as it is up a hill overlooking the beautiful bay with safe swimming. Rooms are spacious comfortable and most have balcony to enjoy late afternoon glass of wine. Pete and Kay are super hosts, unobtrusive but very helpful. Plenty to do around to justify 2 or 3 nights. We used it to relax at end of long trip

We stayed here for 2 nights in October. Peter and Kay were excellent hosts. We had a huge room with balcony and it’s own private entrance. The breakfast was superb - scrummy eggs and bacon plus fruit salad, yogurts etc. Kay even loaned us a toothbrush charger as we had forgotten our one. Peter kindly drove us to the car park to do the Cathedral Cove walk which was amazing. Very good location close to The Pour House for food and drinks. A very comfortable stay.

Our stay at Hahei Horizon was one of the highlights of our tour of New Zealand. Our hosts (and the dog!) were really lovely and very helpful indeed. Our room was large, comfortable and had everything we needed, plus a lovely balcony from which we took some fantastic pictures of the sunrise. Breakfast on the patio with the other guests was very enjoyable, and the menu offered some very different options which we appreciated. The location of the property is elevated to afford those stunning views, but the walk into Hahei is fairly short and not taxing. We loved Hahei and its beach, but did also use the hot tub at Hahei Horizon. Our hosts were very helpful in recommending places to eat and also booked our boat trip for us and provided maps and directions. All in all, this was a very happy finale to our trip to New Zealand.

Kay and Peter were excellent hosts in their beautiful home with amazing views over Hahei. A warm welcome awaits from both human and canine family members. Fabulous home cooked breakfast and super comfortable room with private balcony complete with table and chairs. Jed the dog is always ready for some fuss and a tickle around the ears.
Highly recommended accommodation which was one of our top picks on our 4 week travels around New Zealand.

We stayed with Peter and Kay during our stop on the Coromandel Peninsula. They were incredibly welcoming and helpful and provided lots of information and insight around the area. When I indicated we were looking into a boat tour of the bay, Peter called up the guide by name and got us booked right then and there.
The accommodations were also excellent. Our room was very comfortable and conveniently located to the beach and local food options.
If you need a place to stay in Hahei, please consider the Hahei Horizon Bed & Breakfast!

I had initially been a little reluctant to book b & b accommodation. This was our first in New Zealand and what a great standard it set, completely changing my mindset. Good accommodation with beautiful views. Our hosts Kay & Peter couldn't have been more accommodating, making dinner reservations, and driving us to the car park at the beginning of the walk to Cathedral Cove (parking virtually impossible). We loved having breakfast on the deck overlooking the sea and talking to the other guests. If you want somewhere to stay out of the hurly burly of the town and within walking distance of a beautiful coastline then this is it.

Because the breakfast is cooed to order, the owners like to have an early and a late siting which they agree with the various residents who are there. The owners are also very accommodating so I think it would be OK. why not email to agree it with them in advance
Hi ishapop, Thanks for the query. We would be very happy to check you in to our lovely B&B. We love to welcome all guests who are happy to respect our home and enjoy the company of others.
Cheers,
