We went here as a couple for 1 night and our room was super clean, bathroom also, bed is comfortable, there is a convenient fridge in room, microwave, tv, cofeemaker, and pool.
The owners are super friendly, very attentionned to their guests and they helped us with all the indications on which beach to go and how to go at Sandbanks.
We find they are easily acccessible 5 minutes off hwy 401 and only 50 minutes to Sand banks beaches. Lots of restaurants nearby.
We will go back in August with the kids as we find this motel is the best in the area if you want to be assured to have a clean room and really good owners, and it's only 50 minutes away front magnificient Sand Banks beaches. You guessed right, we go there for the beach as we live in Montréal.
No hesitation, this is your place to stay 😊😊

This was the last accommodation we stayed in during our 2 week trip to Canada. We stayed in a total of 7 different motels/B&B's and this was far and away the best. A number of places stayed in were very tired and weary looking and it was obvious in some that everything had been done on the cheap with attempts to be trendy failing miserably.
The Fox Motor Inn was the exact opposite. Everything was clean and new looking (and a lot of it was new). All paths and driveways were professionally done, the grass was neat and well cared for and the room that we stayed in was very spacious and pristine. The owners were very friendly and helpful. The Fox Motor Inn is the type of motel that one hopes to find but very rarely does. If we were to return to Canada in the near future we would go out of our way to stay there again.
Oh, I nearly forgot, there were also some very friendly longer term residents there as well. It all helps!

Found this hotel online by accident, very nice with outdoor pool that myself and my wife wanted, could not believe the pictures as if you know seeing something on line is not always the same as in person, this turned out to be exactly as the pictures showed. This is a motel ran by two brothers, but seems like the whole family pitches in as they live on site, we’ll manicured grounds as well as the greenest grass I have ever seen, very n ice owner. The only problem we had is that we booked a room with what he called a queen bed which i thought would be enough for my wife and I, they put us in the first row and the room itself was nice but the bed looked more like a double to us. Did not have king as this would of been our preference.bed was kind of hard so our sleep was not the best, but besides that everything was fine, three buildings in the hotel even with a second floor and all these were booked solid for that long weekend. The pool was a bit cool but that was fine to refresh, very slippery floor though as I almost lost my balance a few times. Not much of a shallow end, it gets deeper really fast, as I said grounds nicely manicured and picnic tables and barbecues throughout property. Nice restaurant right across the street but that is another review, would recommend as the price reasonable and would book again if in the area, but different room with possibly two beds.

I've been racing vehicles for the past 35 years and can assure you I've been in my share of Motels, Hotels and Inn's.
But this site takes the honors on the incredible Price/Quality ratio that it offers, the cleanlinees is beyond compare in relation to National chains and the staff is of the upmost care and go out of their way to make you feel at home. The site and rooms look brand new, on every aspect!
Awesome experience and I'll back several times this summer to continue the evaluation, but for now... Just Wow!

Motel is located on Dundas Street West and about 10 minutes from the 401. Worth the drive Greeted warmly at front desk. Room was located at front of motel but street noise was not a factor as air conditioner was needed due to a heat wave. Very clean. All the necessary amenities. Quiet. Would definitely stay here again and recommend it.

Always looking for reasonable priced accommodation when my wife and I travel to see our son in Nova Scotia. Fox Motor met my criteria for price ($145/night) and exceeded my expectations for the quality of the room. Rooms are clean, modern and welcoming. They even have a pool and BBQ's if so inclined. Despite being a little off the 401, in Napanee, it is well worth the value for money paid. Much cheaper than the big chain hotels and equal in quality of accommodation.

We found this gem for an overnight on a recent trip. It was one of the cleanest places that we've ever stayed. The beds were comfortable, it had all the amenities were needed, and the bathroom was spotless.
The Inn was easy to reach from the highway, but blissfully quiet. The owners were very nice and responsive, and provided some suggestions for local meals. We will definitely be back!

Our family needed two rooms for a family function in the Napanee area on a Civic holiday weekend. Manager gave us two rooms with double queen beds within the two weeks of the holiday weekend. The rooms were absolutely top end quality..better than hotel status. We stayed on the second floor.
High quality mattresses for the beds, fantastic bathrooms with all new fixtures and lighting. Huge HD TV, bar fridge, microwave with well appointed furnishing and bedding. This place makes the others in the area look like 2 or 3 star properties. This is a definite 5 star hotel status quality.

The Fox Motor Inn is an excellent motel to stay along your travels at an affordable price. This is a family run motel. Our room was very clean and the bathroom was spotless. We had a mini fridge & microwave (which we did not use), WiFi excellent. The grounds are well maintained and clean. We enjoyed the pool. The staff and owner are friendly and accessible. Across the road is a good "family restaurant". Excellent breakfasts and coffee. We will stay here again and recommend it. The Fox Motor Inn is an affordable destination if you want to visit Picton & shop etc.

I stay here whenever I am in town for business. It is in a lovely spot as I like to go out for walks when possible and I feel totally safe doing so. It's a family run business. The family is so lovely! The grounds and pool are kept in pristine order as are the rooms. I'd say it's a family type motel, which makes it quiet at night for sleeping. I would not consider staying anywhere else when in the area. I have suggested this spot to many folks who have been very appreciative! It reminds me of the motels from days gone by. Personal service. Small, quaint and nostalgic. Give it a go. You won't be disappointed.
