Delightful boutique hotel at the entrance to the main promenade in old Zichron Yaakov. Minutes walk from small family wineries and main Carmel Wines visitor center and winery. Surrounded by great restaurants, Zamarin offers a breakfast option(needs some logistical improvement) and an open, no charge coffee and wine bar( featuring 4 local wines). The 11 rooms are i.d. by names of wine varities, access the main patio and some have individual porches. The are very comfortable designed well and offer all the accessories. The staff is courteous and helpful. The overall effect is Tuscany, 3 mins. from the sea...totally relaxing, enjoy
My husband and I just spent a night at Zamarin Hotel which is a newly renovated vintage building in the heart of the old city of Zichron, (established by Baron Rothschild as the Center of wine production in Israel. ) We were really impressed by the friendliness and welcoming attitude of the whole staff! They gave us the feeling that they would go out of their way to make us feel comfortable-and they really did! The massage in the spa was enjoyable and the therapist was attentive and professional. Afterwards, we enjoyed complimentary beverages, snacks and wine in their lounge before dinner. Our room was very clean, well appointed, the beds were very comfortable and all the linens were of great quality. The next morning the hotel gifted us a breakfast voucher for Tishbi restaurant where we enjoyed a delicious breakfast on their patio. We heard that the hotel is offering different packages such as wine tours, food and art experiences which sound fun and we would like to experience in the future. We felt pampered and spoiled during our short stay and highly recommend Zamarin Hotel.…
We stayed here two weeks ago and we loved it so much re returned for a night last week. They really exemplify what the "hospitality" industry is supposed to be about. The rooms are beautifully appointed and kept- elegant and as good as new. The welcome and constant and interaction with the well meaning and enthusiastic team was such a pleasure. Like staying with discreet but warm friends. Service, little touches, and the breakfast delivered from Tishbi restaurant were fab. Intimate, pretty and fresh environment positioned at the top of the old high street in this gorgeous little town. But shhh... don't tell too many people about this secret gem in the Israeli hotel industry!
We had a great time in Zamarin, we came to celebrate my husband birthday. They help me plan the whole weekend, and schedule the attractions and restaurants. They were kind and helpful and everything was perfect thanks to them. The hotel has a very good location- next to restaurants and places to visit on Zichron. The place is beautiful, clean and big rooms with everything you need.
I really wanted to like this hotel, and in many ways I did. It's furnished tastefully, shiny and new (Feb.2020). BUT our room opened directly on the little yard (which made it feel more like a motel and not particularly safe). Worse: Every time we or even someone in a neighboring room ran water, an electric pump came on and made a hellish noise, comparable to a vacuum cleaner. I repeat: Even when the neighbors took a shower etc we heard the noise the entire time until they turned the water off. Sleeping without earplugs was impossible. My guess is that the architect made a big mistake and that this won't be fixable without tearing the building down. At the very least, the hotel should warn travellers and provide earplugs.
