I live about 2 miles from the Bellyard and don’t usually stay in hotels in Atlanta. But I needed to be out of my place for a night when getting my floors replaced so I started looking for hotels. While there are many Marriott properties closer to me, the Bellyard stood out as a cool hotel that I knew just opened. I wanted to check it out. I used points because they were charing over $300/night. This is great hotel, but it is not worth $300 on a random Tuesday night.

The hotel is very cool and has great style to it. The lobby is impressive and has the hotel’s bar/restaurant blended into it. There are two outdoor areas in the lobby, one that is part of the restaurant and overlooks Atlanta, the other is more of a courtyard — both are neat spaces.

Like the rest of the hotel, the room is very focused on design and is stylish, but probably not the most practical. I’m including a bunch of pictures since I find the pictures on their website to be lacking. The bed was comfortable, there is a padded window seat, the internet was blazing fast, and there is a great TV with streaming options. There is also a small fridge and a steamer in the room, but no iron or coffee/tea.

The desk was this weird pulldown desk from the mounted wall furniture that includes the TV. It took me a while to figure out it was a desk. Given many hotels are eliminating desks, this was better than nothing. The other thing about the room you should know is that the bathroom is open to the room. There is no privacy for the shower, it can be seen by anyone in the room. The toliet is in a smaller room with a door. Fine for solo trips or couples, probably not great for friends or families.

Elite benefits (I’m Marriott Titanium) were hit and miss. Not only did I not get a room upgrade, but I got a terrible room facing a courtyard with other rooms/offices. It was only a one night stay so not a big deal, but I was still surprised especially since the hotel seemed empty. My internet charge for the faster internet was on my bill at check-out and the person at the desk struggled to removed it.

This hotel shined when it came to the breakfast benefit. I had breakfast in the restaurant (Drawbar) the next morning and they told me the my coupon covered up to $25. This is extremely generous and I had a great breakfast from it of french toast and sausage.

They have both valet and self-parking. It’s a garage directly under the hotel and you pay via app. Very easy. There are a couple restaurants in the building outside of the hotel (plus a new bakery in the hotel) and there are also lots of places to eat within close walking distance.

The Bellyard is now one of the top hotel choices in the Midtown/West Midtown/GA Tech area.

What a great addition to the Westside! The Bellyard is perfectly located in a great area of Atlanta – walking distance to some amazing restaurants (Marcel, Eight Sushi, JCT Kitchen, West Egg), activities (Puttshack, Painted Duck) and a quick drive to Aquarium, Mercedes Stadium, and many other Atlanta staples. Everyone made us feel so welcomed and right at home. The room and public spaces were beautifully designed – We spent a lot of time in the lobby, bar, and outdoor patio (amazing views of the city). Overall, the hotel had a really great atmosphere, the food and drinks were delicious, and the location is unbeatable! Perfect for out of town visitors and or someone looking for a “staycation”.

Staycation! Well not really, we live in Savannah and took a quick weekend trip to ATL. We were upgraded to the suite and it was just gorgeous, clean and beautifully furnished. The suite had the sleeping area, a living room area and a small dining room area. The bathroom is a "wet room' style with a teacup tub, which is probably too small for anyone taller than 5'6 or 5'7.

The hotel itself is beautiful, it has a full bar that was packed on Friday and Saturday night with a lot of locals so it does get loud. I don't know if I would say this is a family type hotel, and now that I think about it, I don't remember seeing any kids.

The room was a bit loud. Didn't bother us, but light sleepers might need earplugs. We did not have a ton of interaction with the staff, but what little interaction we did have was outstanding.

We ate at the Drawbar twice, as breakfast was "included", it isn't really included, you get $40 bucks off if you order more than that. The food was ok, and the service was mixed.

Overall, it was a really nice weekend trip, we were an $11 Uber ride from World of Coca-Cola and the aquarium, there are plenty of restaurants and shopping in the area.

We stayed at this hotel while attending a wedding. The hotel appears to be new and smelled of freshly painted walls and new furnishings. Our room (826) was on the 8th floor and was very nice (ceiling had yet to be finished). There are some great food options near the hotel that include velvet tacos and the maple street biscuit company.

This is an amazing hotel! The rooms are beautiful and fun! So many details. The beds are very comfortable and clean. Parking is a bit confusing unless you use valet which is more expensive than self park (scan and use app to pay) We checked in on a Saturday night and the lobby was packed with people at the bar. We struggled to find the check in desk as it was not well marked. When we finally found it, we were greeted enthusiastically and upgraded to a city view. I suggest using white noise in your room if you’re there over the weekend as it is loud. There is not any grab and go breakfast, so plan accordingly if you’re a breakfast person! Lots of places to eat within walking distance.

This was supposed to be a birthday stay-cation, but I feel it would’ve been better to have stayed home. The hotel is beautiful and the front desk staff is top notch. The area has everything you need in walking distance as far as food and drink. And if you like to people watch, the lobby and courtyard are great for that starting around 7pm. The problem was the room. Despite having great AC, the room was quite humid when we arrived. Moisture could be felt in the bedding, and after only a few hours in our clothes and even on my book. And with no door to separate the shower and no active vent to pull out steam and moisture it just makes it that much worse. And there is no iron in the room to at least assist with drying out the moisture in our clothes(we had to dry out some clothes when we got home). Also, with the ceiling being completely concrete, any small sound inside or outside the room is amplified, making it horrible for me since I’m a light sleeper. Lastly the walls separating the neighboring room could use more sound insulation. Being able to hear my neighbor snoring and the music they were playing did not make for a good experience. Lastly, to have our door knocked on 3x within 10mins a half hour before our check out time by housekeeping gave the feeling that we were being rushed out so the room could be turned over for the next guest. If check out is at noon our door shouldn’t be repeatedly knocked on around 11:30am, to see if we are checked out. So the 2 reward nights redeemed could’ve been used for a much better room stay at a different hotel in my opinion.

Great 1st impression. Clean. Friendly. Relaxing atmosphere. Front desk went above & beyond - escorting us on a short walk to ensure we knew where to go rather than just pointing, replacing wife’s forgotten deodorant. Odd that our room had only 3 towels for a family of 4, but easily resolved. Short walk to mini golf, ice cream, a number of restaurants and so on. All of that was offset by one random employee. I ordered a cocktail and burger at the lobby bar while the rest of the family went out for a pizza. As I waited for my order on one of the sofas, they brought the pizza back to the lobby bar. Before my food or drink arrived, they were asked to leave. No outside food. No regard for the fact that I placed an order. No regard for additional beverage orders that were likely to follow. Plus it’s a hotel lobby! It’s not like they brought a pizza to Ruth’s Chris. The other employees were appalled but it was too late at that point. Definitely can’t see this happening at the Four Seasons lobby bar. Probably not at the Ritz either. There was only one other group in the area so it’s not as if we were using seats that others wanted.

Beautiful property, incredible views of the city, excellent location. The only issue I had was that every staff has a different way of handling the elite credit vouchers.

Upon arrival, I received 5 of the 7 vouchers since they ran out was told that even though they were individually dated, I could use a few in a day as long as I did it through the front desk afterwards. When i went to get dinner at the bar on the third day, they said I could use multiple vouchers there as long as they were on the adjacent days, so I use two. Went back to the front desk on the fourth day for the last two vouchers, they were out still. On the last day, the front desk person said the person on the first day told me the wrong info and that I can only use one voucher a day and since they were still out of vouchers, she just used a pen to over-write the date of my unused one. In short, I ended up only able to use 3 of the 7 vouchers.

Not the biggest deal but was also expecting more from a well established hotel. Otherwise a very pleasant stay

What did I like about paying $500 a night at the Bellyard? Definitely not my room that looked directly into a parking garage. Definitely not trying to check in on a Friday night and the lobby was so packed with people drinking I couldn't even hear what the person at the front desk was saying. Definitely not the bartender who laughed about how expensive my margarita was ($20) and then telling me she used top shelf spirits without me asking.

Would never stay here or recommend it to others.

This was my second time staying at the Bellyard while in Atlanta for business. Like my previous stay, the staff was friendly and helpful and I appreciated the industrial vibe of the room, and the amenities. I was also happy to find a Keurig coffee maker in the room. I would have preferred to have an iron instead a steamer, but that wasn't a big deal.
The location, in West Midtown, is a lively, cool area with lots of restaurants, cafes, etc.
