Le Dune is one of the best family hotels in Northern Sardinia. Located in Badesi, a seaside town on the Gulf of Asinara, it overlooks the 8 km long beach of Li Junchi and offers five 4-star hotels, two of which are 4-star superior, each with a swimming pool, bar and reception. What makes the Resort really stand out is what it offers for the little ones: a nursery with bottle preparation area, the Duneland Castle with children's restaurant, the Fantasy Village, Fort Crock and the vegetable garden with chicken coop so that children can learn about Nature as they play. As well as the ten restaurants, six swimming pools (one of which is dedicated to children) and the Le Sabine Wellness Centre & SPA, there are numerous free sports activities for guests of all ages. Also available is a beach service with sun loungers, plenty of water activities including catamaran sailing, surfing and windsurfing and exciting excursions by sea and by land departing every day from the Resort.

This was our second visit to Le Dune, six years after the first, and it didn’t disappoint. It is a fantastic family friendly Italian beach resort. There’s opportunities for lots of fun (aquafit, shows, kids disco, yoga etc). The staff are very friendly and welcoming with 5* customer service.

We were on half board and ate dinner in five of the resorts different restaurants. The food was delicious every night, our thanks to the staff and chefs who also produced outstanding vegan options from breakfast to evening deserts!

Most guests are Italian and French and we saw a few English, German and Dutch families too.

We regularly swam in three of the beautiful hotel pools - each with a different vibe.

The sea is crystal clear (lovely for swimming) and beach is sandy. We also tried the beach cafes outside of the resort for lunch and they were super too.

Our youngest occasionally went to the resort Junior club and made friends - she was made to feel very welcome and also greeted warmly around the resort by Eddie and Camilla of the Go Crazy animation team. We enjoyed the evening entertainment especially the 90s night!

The spa is also very nice!

Our only gripe was the taxi prices to get out and about out of the resort. Aqua fantasy water park 15 mins drive away was great fun even if the taxi cost as much as the water park tickets!! The bar prices are also quite high compared to supermarkets. But I suppose the island is reliant on tourism and it’s been a rubbish couple of years with the pandemic.

Le Dune is a hot and sunny break from everyday life, with first class customer service! We’d love to try another Delphina group hotel to experience such a wonderful holiday in another village/town in Sardina! 🌊 🌅 Sardinia is our favourite holiday destination - It would be fabulous if Delphina group develop a hotel in the group where there are group road bicycle rides included! Now that would top it all in such a beautiful region!

This is our first trip with kids aged 4 and 5. We picked the hotel due to the choice of amenities and we weren’t let down. We enjoyed the two main pools and the beach was great. Lots of sunloungers for all but given the hotel wasn’t at full capacity due to Covid, I imagine it could get busy in August typically.

Pros: lovely staff, nice setting, kids club seemed amazing (but didn’t use), great set up for kids with evening entertainment. Warm water, super clean everywhere

Cons: food was a bit samey and nothing special. Service was hit and miss, mainly self serve so felt impersonal. Breakfast was dull but it was nice to move around to different places included in the package. Room was nice and spacious (I Genipri family suite had a room with separate living room for the kids) but our room was super noisy due to the road and dogs barking all night beyond the hotel. Ok if you usually shut the window and use aircon (which we prefer not to).

We would contemplate coming back but in a different room.

We stayed at the Sabine Hotel within the resort and found the whole set-up exceptional. The staff are professional, reassuring and friendly - they always made us feel very welcome. The Sabine hotel suites themselves are hidden away behind vegetation surrounding a pool that was perfect for our family at various times during the day. We hardly needed to go to the sea, though the beach is very nearby, and very pleasant. The Sabine feels like the most private and peaceful part of the resort, yet not too cut off from everything else.
Some Italian families come just for the food and I can see why. The evening buffet in the Sabine Il Leccio restaurant included with our booking there, was beyond fabulous, though we were delighted with the choice and quality on offer in every restaurant we tried. The Nautilus is surprisingly good - the resort gives some of the other restaurants a more glowing description. So many of the chefs and staff in the restaurants were brilliant and enthusiastic about the things they had prepared, and it was hard not to refuse the variety available. There was so much to choose, and the restaurants were a wonderful showcase for the best of Sardinian and Italian cuisine!
What made the holiday even more special were the extra things we didn't expect, like the evening entertainment in the resort square and amphitheatre, the activities for children during the day including archery, tennis and football, as well as the playground which comes alive in the evening. We loved walking amongst the myrtle groves near the sports area, and were even given a tour of the vegetable and fruit gardens by the wonderful head gardener. There is a calm atmosphere throughout the resort during the day, and a jolly atmosphere after dinner.
It was hot, yet there is plenty of shade around with the wonderful mature vegetation, and often a fresh breeze from the sea. We stayed for 5 nights and never felt the need to go on any day trips beyond the resort itself. We chose Sardinia based on the people, culture and the wonderful sandy beaches, and will be looking at some of the other Delphina resorts as our children get older to explore these further, but for now, I don't think much can beat this for a family with two children under ten in Europe.

We stayed at the Le Dune for the 4th time and other like the years before, it did not feel like coming home anymore. The food is still great and the resort with its plants and trees is still like an oasis and very beautiful. This time, the cost for our stay was considerably more but we got less in return. Since our last stay, nothing was renovated and the management does not seem to invest in the resort which is getting older by the day. On the day of the arrival I contacted the manager of the resort and explained our issue. We were offered a bottle of wine and the promise that they would find a solution. Until the end of the holiday, we were not offered a solution. At checkout, the lady was more interested in cashing in the 25 Euro for the birthday cake for our daughter (in other hotels this was always free of charge) than asking how the stay was. We spent great days at the resort and were especially pleased by the salvataggio at Le Palme pool and the friendliness of the personnel at La Spiaggia restaurant. However, we are a little disappointed with the overall friendliness and think that we did not get enough value for the price paid.

Dear Rebeka, I am sure that it was a misunderstanding in dealing with your request. I am happy to read that you found great our culinary proposal and other aspect of your stay. I can assure you that we constantly invest in renovating parts of the resort, but as you know the place is big and it takes time to do it all. Our priority is to keep on offering quality services and a high level of traditionally Sardinian holiday. It will be a pleasure for me to meet you and to speak together about the great plan that define Delphina Hotels in the near future. Please come and visit us once again, I am sure we will leave you only beautiful memories. Yours truly, Calogero Spinella, General Manager, Resort & SPA Le Dune

Such a perfect stay we had in this cozy hotel!
Everything was great: staff, food (the Carrimbancq restaurant turned out to become our favourite, but others were also very very good), room size (family suite), swimming pools, facility itself. Played tennis as well - tennis court was good enough, nothing to complain about.
The beach is something spectacular - we were really lucky, not a single windy day during the whole stay, just a calm, torquise, clear clean water every day all day. Dream :) hotel provides fruits on the beach for free, this was so nice and caring.
One of the best few places to stay with child in North Sardinia and get quite sophisticated vacay. Will be back as soon as we can. Thank You!

We spent a wonderful week at this fantastic resort and would highly recommend Le Dune to families. We travelled with children and grandparents and there was a great variety of pools, restaurants and activities to please everyone. The staff are fantastic- friendly, efficient and welcoming and the team at Romantica restaurant in particular went above and beyond to make sure we enjoyed our stay. The hotels are similar in style and configuration, but the setting of each has a slightly different character to suit different tastes. The site is hilly in parts but easy to walk around and you are welcome to visit pools, restaurants and bars in each area so there is plenty of variety. We cant wait to go back!

Beautiful hotel / resort but the price, the amount of closures, the time of dinner, and the service were disappointing.

The prices of the drinks (7 euro for a dash - not even a glass - of wine?) and the fact we had to pay extra for a sun bed given what we'd already spent to be there did not feel fair. Sun beds should be included. At times it just felt like a money making scheme.

Half the restaurants were shut and the ones that were open were poorly stocked.

As a family friendly resort, the dining times need to also be family friendly. 7.30pm for dinner is too late for families with toddlers. 9.15pm for a baby dance?

The serving staff at breakfast and dinner were slow, inattentive and did not give us steer as to where things were or what was on the menu - to the point we missed the starters on our first night.

The accommodation was perfect. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked well (which was definitely necessary due to the heatwave over 40°C in July 2023). Our kids enjoyed the multiple swimming pools in the hotel area. Their favorite was the one near "Le Sabine," which had a pool with gradually decreasing depth, allowing even small children to walk or sit in the water. The food was delicious; we tried all the restaurants during our one-week stay, and it was never boring. The beach was fine on the first day, but it became a disappointment afterward because it was heavily polluted by seaweed. I am not sure how often is beach "polluted" but it was suprising as it is considered as "blue flag beach". Maybe just our bad luck. We decided to rent a car to visit different beaches. Isola Rossa is amazing for night walk. We spent four days at Spiaggia di Cala li Cossi in Costa Paradiso, about a 30-minute drive from Badesi. Thank you.

Excellent service. We spent here 9 days and was a very nice holiday.
The resort is comfortable, with 3 pools, private beach, different restaurants and a relaxing SPA.
The staff was very kind, fullfilling all our requests at front desk, at restaurants, at the miniclub. The food was excellent in some restaurants and, at least, very good in all the other.
The room was clean and quite.
We met many people that are regular guests, and after our holiday I can understand them!

Wonderful experience -- great for toddlers/babies/older kids (perhaps not teenagers unless in a group of others same age). Each hotel is close to the others but has own facilities - pool at Sabine was nice and quiet but hotel a bit further from the 'centre', so next time we'd do Palme that has better pool for kids. Lovely facilities, kids' play area and baby/toddler feeding centre with lunch every day :). Such a great choice for families! Only downsides were it's quite a windy drive over mountains from main airport (think car sick kids..) plus a lot of mosquitos in evenings... definitely take spray if going in summer, I don't know about other months. We would love to return though and highly recommend.
