It was our first try to have ski vacations with our kids, so it had to be perfect. We were not disappointed. Kids are happy, so we are.
I will share my experience with the hotel only. Please search elsewhere for feedback about Vars resort.
I have realized there was a technical issue in the reservation system, so our reservation could not be found. After few calls I was given a file number, so despite the fact issue was not resolved, I could identify ourselves easily. Most of their phone operators spoke descent English which is a great plus.
Our check-in was smooth. We arrived really late, so we just found keys from our room with a small greeting letter and advice to arrive to the reception next morning for check-in on the desk. Lovely.
Room was small and as bit shabby, but clean. We knew what to expect, so it wasn’t surprise for us. View from a small balcony was great anyway.
WiFi is free, but quite weak especially when people are back from the ski. It’s better to have a cellular data package which is quite easy in Europe.
They provide 3 meals a day and their food is just fantastic. Really. I am missing their baguettes. Breakfast and lunch are quite standard (but still good) but dinners have a new theme every evening. Veg food selection is a bit limited and waiters usually don’t know if certain dish or salad contains meat, but you won’t stay hungry anyway.
By the way their all-inclusive service includes those meals but excludes drinks and snacks from the bar. We were Ok with that, but I didn’t know that before we arrived.
Most of the guests were les francophones, and unfortunately we didn't speak French, but staff did every possible effort to make us feel comfortable. Some of them spoke some English, others knew who among their colleagues spoke English, and all of them were really patient to hear me trying to speak French. Well done guys.
Hotel has a real ski-in, ski-out facilities, so we had to go less than 50 m till the slope. They provide guests with lockers to leave their equipment.
Ski groups for kids are just fantastic. Despite the fact all lessons were in French our kids loved them.
There is a swimming pool in the hotel which is really important for families with kids.
We plan to arrive again to Clubs du Soleil in Vars or in another location.

Truly incomparable! The club is ideally located at the foot of the ski slopes and with 50 people who care about our well-being, we spent fabulous holiday! I also love the Heated and Sunny swimming pool (very clean locker rooms!).

Our winter vacation to Vars is always most anticipated, and this year yet again did not disappoint.
It was with great pleasure to see familiar and friendly faces again amongst the team of 'animateurs' and chefs. A place that can keep their talents years in years out brings a lot of confidence about the place.
The skiing resort is fantastic, and with the hotel being right on the slopes and ESF departure adds to the pleasure of waiving the children to their class.
The kids club (copains 6-10 and ado 11-17) is providing great entertainment with very competent, energetic and fun team! A special Thank You to Dylan, Ludivine, Nathan, Mathieu & Emile!
The restauration was also excellent. As a vegetarian I had a great array of choices, all very tasty! My carnivore husband and children enjoyed their meat options.
As for the rooms, I recommend booking a place in the later extension. The room may be smaller from the original hotel but still very comfortable and you will have more modern features and a outdoor terrace.
All in all, I highly recommend this club.

Well located & equipped with clean rooms and decent prices. Food quality not always at top and ski equipment a bit obsolete but generally a nice atmosphere and very friendly personnel! Worth a try for a week of winter activities and Vars has great slopes !

Hello, I am getting very annoyed with the club. We booked and paid for a trail running option in Oz for the first week of July. This was cancelled on the 26 of June and we were told it would be refunded within 2 weeks. After 4 weeks and countless emails the €300 has still not be refunded. Although we have always enjoyed our many stays with the club this is leaving a very bitter taste in our mouths. Perhaps you can try contacting your accounts office on our behalf. It's pretty clear to us they don't really care when we contact them. The booking is in the name of Stephanie Dessart.

This is a very good place. Let's start with what matters:
- The location: easy to find with easy access to all facilities. You will have to walk 70 feet before wearing your skis. That's not too bad
- The food is good quality, not excellent but very good. If you are Brit, you will probably find that "amazing"
- The rooms are a bit small as usual in these resorts but they are clean and access is easy
- The staff is very friendly and very helpful.

Was our first time to Vars and first time in an all inclusive package. We went in December 2011 and have just booked to go back for Christmas this year. Rooms were great, having the bath was an added bonus after a long day. The pool also great, especially for my 11 year old. Food very good, great staff. And brilliant access to pistes, making it very easy to pop back for lunch.

An excellent stay at this club. The staff is top notch and at all levels! The welcome is warm, the atmosphere guaranteed with teams who work in good harmony and the desire to make us have a great vacation (which was the case). The bar is friendly and cozy, the service perfect! The entertainment is always present without being intrusive: atmosphere guaranteed because everyone ends up joining in the game. Sports activities offered for all levels. Smiling and efficient reception and maintenance staff. Very good cohesion among the entire team. A special mention for the catering which is of quality and cooked on site. Lots of choice with balanced dishes. Here again, the staff is very friendly and efficient. A loan service to equip non-experienced hikers, here again everything is done to simplify our task. The rooms are functional and clean. Thank you all for your welcome and your availability! We will come back.

We had a great week with our daughters and friends. A regular at VCS since 2003, this stay is one of the best. 1st time for our friends who were delighted. Good atmosphere, dynamic and very friendly team.

Mes séjours se passent en été et nos enfants 43 et 46 ans etc. Par contre le personnel de l'accueil est formidable et répond à tous les besoins au téléphone

Quelqu'un a le numéro de l'hôtel personne ne répond depuis des jours
Les mesures sanitaires sont draconiennes mais bien acceptées par tous :
- obligation du port du masques dans les couloirs et dans les diverses salles
- le personnel (restaurant, activité, prêt de matériel, accueil, etc...) porte en permanence le masque
- partout des affichettes rappel les règles élémentaires et du gel est disposé partout (entrée, ascenseur, au restaurant , etc.)
- sens de circulation imposé dans les couloirs avec marquage au sol
- au restaurant un sens de circulation a aussi été imposé pour accéder au buffet et à chaque accès au buffet le personnel vous impose gentiment le gel. Le masque est aussi obligatoire dès que l'on se lève de table. Après le départ la table et les chaises sont désinfectées
J'en oublie certainement mais avec ce qui précède on se sent en sécurité
Vous passerez comme nous un excellent séjour entouré d'un personnel chaleureux car leur sourire se lit dans les yeux
