After a hike nearby we went to Milo’s Inn for a meal with friends.
It was Martini Monday so 2 of tried some of the offerings. The Lemon Martini and the Dirty Martini were very good.
The menus offer sandwiches, salads, appetizers and some dinner entrees. 3 of us went the sandwich route and 1 went with salad. All four of us were happy with the price, portion and service.
We did not try and wine but there was lots to chose from! We will try on our next visit.
It was an overall pleasant experience.

My wife and I stayed at Milo's to get our dogs away from Las Vegas and the fireworks. Milo's is a great place to spend a romantic night or two. It is clean and only a maximum of 8 guest are allowed to enjoy to courtyard. There wasn't any noise from any NYE revelers. The staff was very friendly. We liked the fact that the rooms are dog friendly. It is located in the heart of historic downtown Boulder City and is only a half hour drive from our house. I will be making reservation for our anniversary in June and a repeat for NYE 2021. These price of the room was very reasonable for what one gets in a clean room and amenities. I have already recommended Milo's to friends if they want a close romantic getaway.

We checked in to the Milo's boutique hotel and was immediately impressed. We stayed in the Tuscany room and could not have been happier. We will be planning future trips to stay in the other rooms. If there was a down side it would only be that it took a little while to get hot water.

These are the words uttered by the alleged Inn Keeper 'Mori'? when she finally deigned to grace us with her presence. I had booked a room at this B & B through booking.com in September and prepaid the first night. When arrived albeit a little early, I was told no problem, come back at 2 and we will check you in. I arrived back and found the room was not ready, and that they were thinking of offering me another room and then changing me back to the original room after one night. Not very convenient. I then asked would the room I wanted be ready by 3 and I was told yes. I arrived back at 3pm on the dot to find a very embarrassed young lady who was standing in for the Inn Keeper, who informed that the room was still not ready and the Inn Keeper was on her way and would be with me in 10 minutes. 25 minutes later, yes that's 3.25pm, my lady partner and I were still standing waiting for this mythical creature, the Inn Keeper of old Boulder City. When the Caped Crusader finally arrived at nearly 3.30pm, we heard the words above...in she strode, wet hair, attitude all business, no apology. As I had paid for this room some months before, I think you will agree that I had the right to be somewhat annoyed, and basically I told them to stick their unmade room.I requested a refund, which she agreed to with indecent haste, leaving us with the feeling that she couldn't wait to get us out of the building. Her lame excuse was that someone had not turned up to clean the room, and she had not been informed...so in effect she blamed someone else. I would have thought as the Inn Keeper this would have been her responsibility. On another note about the place itself. ~The wine bar looked very nice. I was told I could bring my baggage through the back door of the B & B and as I had time to spare, I did a quick recce of the rear of the building to find it looked like something out of a Top Cat cartoon, dustbins and sleazy. Not somewhere I would like to park my car for any length of time. I didn't actually see any of the rooms, so can't comment, but some walk ins who brushed past me earlier, proceed up the private staircase to view the rooms. Security nil. Would I recommend Milo's? Not with this Inn Keeper, I would sack her if she worked for my company. I hope if the owner of Milo's is reading this review, this is what happens. I am happy to expand if contacted. I will also be contacting booking.com.

We travel to Boulder City every 3 months (to get away- we live in Vegas). For 5 years we’ve been staying at the Hoover Dam Hotel...we have now changed.
This place was great.
Location - Tremendous. It is situated in the middle of a quaint little town, with all sorts of unique shops. It has its own wine cellar and restaurant. In fact, if you walk into the restaurant or wine cellar, you would have no clue it was an Inn. TIP - plan your day by hitting the shops for a couple of hours and then checking in.
Parking - In front, but if not, there is street parking on the side with a back entrance. TIP - If you want to avoid the stairs, park out back...lots of street parking.
Food - We ordered dinner to go (upstairs). We bought a bottle of Moscato (They gave up wine glasses) and a plated Creme Brûlée. We split the Turkey Crossiant (it was hugh) and we had the Brie platter (I think it was 1/2 a wheel of Brie). The food was delicious. TIP - sit at the bar. Great seeing all the action and great service.
The room - quite roomy. Very comfortable. The fireplace was really a nice touch. TIP - have heavy socks or slippers, the floor is very cold.
The Courtyard - this place is great. Vines, running water fall and a fire pit. TIP - ask the inn keeper to lite the pit. Grab a glass of wine and look up at the night stars.
The breakfast - what’s an Inn without a great breakfast. No disappointment there. The service was quite friendly; the meal, quite large and everything was prepared well. We were treated to a Banana Fosters French toast (to die for) and an omelette crossiant. TIP- Grab the table for two by the fireplace and if you don’t like peppers in your eggs, you may want to let them know ahead of time.
Staff - from the Servers, Cooks, Housekeeper, Bartender and Inn keeper...we were treated very well. They were friendly and quite helpful.
All in all...a great surprise and we will be back.

We checked the rooms out, thinking that perhaps a stay in the future would be fun since we like to get away often. My impression of the place is from taking a look at it and also looking at other reviews.
The rooms are clean and orderly, but the furnishings are made of dark wood and are outdated looking. If I remember correctly, the bed covers are not duvets, so rating goes down a notch there. One window looking out on the courtyard or hallway is all there is for natural light, so it gives a dark impression of the room. Skylights in the rooms would help to add a less heavy atmosphere to the rooms.
The courtyard seems kind of neat but also seems like there isn't daily attention made to it. Slight musty odor there. The fish are neat to look at and I guess there is a turtle and frog. It would be really fun to sit out in the courtyard, but I would like it to feel cleaner and beautified a bit.
The staff are great and super friendly. They love their jobs and the town and don't hesitate to do their best to inform and convey that to visitors.
Milo needs to spend just a bit more consistent attention on his restaurant and B and B to bring them up to five stars. He really has a unique setting here and the opportunity to turn it into a destination stop.

We arrived and were told that our room was not what we had booked. There are four rooms three with bathtubs and one with a shower. We had booked the one with a shower. Since the other party had not arrived and we had booked the room almost a year in advance, they gave us the room with the shower. After a long drive from Sedona AZ, we were ready to relax and watch the news prior to going for dinner. We turned on the TV and discover that we only got one channel. My wife went to the desk and Talon came to the room to try to fix it. She couldn't. She was replaced by Amy who after a few minutes recalled that the cable box was in the nightstand behind a closed door. Situation resolved.
Lite sleepers beware, an air conditioning compressor just outside the room makes a noise like a DC3. If you close the bathroom door it's okay.
The next morning we discovered that our breakfast wasn't ready although we had asked for an early breakfast. The lady explained that this was her third day and she was having a little trouble getting things going. We had croissants, juice and coffee instead.
We returned after a tour of Hoover Dam. We had lunch and decided to have a glass of wine at the bar. Talon and Amy were there and we had a few glasses of wine and a nice chat with them and some local patrons at the bar. Had it not been for Amy and Talon and their eagerness to to make our stay a pleasant one we would been more than a little disappointed.
The room was clean and reasonably spacious.
Make no mistake it is the friendly dedication to service of Talon and Amy who really make this place worthwhile.

Our party of two adults stayed for one night in December. While the room was very clean and nicely decorated, I would not stay here again.
Upon arrival late in the afternoon, we parked in front of the Inn and went to check in. The young lady we dealt with was very friendly and check-in was accomplished quickly. We were shown to our room, past the courtyard with the waterfall. Since it was a relatively cool evening and almost dark, there was no courtyard reception, but we were asked when we would like our glasses of sangria brought to our room.
We were advised to move our car from the main street in front of the wine bar and inn to a nearby side street, and given the key to the back, after hours entrance. As the previous reviewer stated, this involved a short walk down a wide alley, past some trash bins. Once inside the hotel property, we walked down the not well lit corridor to our room.
While the room was very, very clean and nicely decorated, it was not very comfortable. There were no windows, although the view would have been of the dark outside corridor anyway. The very small television was mounted above the doorway--very difficult to watch. We moved the small table and chairs provided back into the room so one person could sit there. The other person laid one of our suitcases along the bottom of the bed, sat on a bench that was at the foot of the bed and leaned back against the suitcase to watch the tv. Not very comfortable.
The bathroom was very large and had been nicely updated--except that there was absolutely nowhere in the walk-in shower to put anything. No place for soap, toiletry bottles-nowhere except to put them on the floor or open the shower door and reach out to put them on the sink. This made for a very awkward shower experience.
Upon check-in we had been asked if we would be having breakfast in the morning. We said yes, since it was included in the rate. We went down the next morning after 8:00 to find no one around. We went into the cellar, where we saw a small table or counter set up near the back. On here was a pitcher of juice that was almost empty, one glass, some kind of quiche or something similar, one pastry, and some instant oatmeal, with no means of cooking it. Didn't see or smell any coffee or other hot beverages. Since no one was in evidence, we just went back to the room, finished packing, left the keys, and found breakfast elsewhere.
While the location is good for walking to some restaurants and shops downtown, and the room was very clean, I really can't recommend this place to anyone else. I would not stay here again if I was in Boulder City.

We spent one night at Milo’s Inn in mid October 2012. I am really disappointed by the way how they treat their guests. I agree, the staff was friendly, the room was clean and nice but in the morning a small surprise waited for us. There was no service and no breakfast ( though the rate for the room included breakfast). The restaurant at the hotel was closed and we found the information on the door that we shall eat at the bar 3 doors up and leave the check in the room, so they refund us the money. 5 weeks passed by and we didn’t received the money for breakfast (though we contacted the Milo’s Inn Manager by e-mail). Well, we were satisfied with the stay at the hotel but this situation leaves an unpleasant feeling.

Hi Dostreic – Great - we're glad to read you enjoyed your recent visit with us! Unfortunately, none of our guest rooms have two beds … the custom cabinetry was originally built to fit around a queen bed, so that’s all that each room accommodates. Thanks for reaching out and we hope to see you again soon! - Kathy
