Nestled in the heart of Seattle, the Arctic Club Hotel is often celebrated as a historic treasure, offering a timeless atmosphere and cozy, well-appointed rooms that guests adore. While the hotel's central location is convenient for exploring local attractions, some visitors mention noise concerns and suggest improvements in cleaning frequency.
The staff's friendliness and attentiveness are frequently commended, although high parking fees and extra charges have led a few to question the hotel's overall value.

As you can see by photos available online, this place is beautiful, historic and quirky. Every member of the staff was genuinely welcoming and appeared to enjoy working at this location.
The draw for me was the history of the hotel and it did not disappoint! My room had wonderful quotes from old visitors or historic figures nicely painted on the wall and it continued into the hallway. More quotes, beautiful art, historic photographs and newspaper clippings lined the walls. I walked the entire place viewing each and every detail. It was pretty darn neat to see a photograph from the past and then go see that particular room or item for myself.
My hesitance to stay at this property was the shared bathroom. This has detoured me in the past, even though rates are usually much cheaper. I won't have that fear anymore because it was surprisingly comfortable. The bathrooms were very nice, clean and I never had to wait in line. There are one-person toilet and shower rooms and a pedestal sink in my room as well.
All in all, this was a wonderful place to stay and I will be back. If you are seeking an "experience" (you know who you are) I can assure you that you'll have one. 100% recommended!

The location (smack within walking distance to ALL of Seattle's main downtown attractions) - T-Mobile Park & Lumen field are both just a few blocks away. Pier's, boat tours, aquarium is even closer and Market is less than 15 minutes away, again within walking distance, so no need to fight for parking, get your steps in. Now about the hotel. Truly AMAZING staff. Super friendly, accommodating and willing to sit or stand and chat, get to know you and offer great suggestions on your stay in Seattle. The room, ambiance and Polar Bar are all just very, very cool (no pun intended) but if you're into a little history, while you stay to relax, play or even work while in The Emerald City, THIS is the place to be. Sure chain hotels are good, but this little gem, you'll be impressed. They do a phenomenal job by taking care of the little things. Love the towel animals and personalized notes the team leaves each time we returned. Those little touches, just put smiles on our faces every day.

We stayed at the Arctic Club hotel from April 28 to May (4 nights/5 days), after disembarking from a repositioning cruise through the Panama Hotel. We arrived mid morning and spoke with Jon. Very kind, very helpful, he held our luggage until our room was ready. The lounge/bar area is very ornate with true to period decor. Very much 1920s vibe. Booked into 702 - loved everything about the room. The frosted glass bathroom door, the size of the bathroom and how it was decorated and accessorized, showed amazing details. We had a King Size bed, and our windows overlooked the 3rd floor ballroom roof. We requested that the Gift Basket and Mini Fridge be emptied, and our request was quickly fulfilled. The Arctic Club Hotel is just across the street from Seattle's LRT, so moving around downtown was quick and easy. Also, because we are Seniors the buses were $1 USD, the Monorail $1.75 USD, and we paid $2.25 USD to go to the Mariners Ball park. The hotel is also along a major bus route, so access is right outside the front doors. You are a 9 block walk from the Pike Place Market, about a 15 minute walk to the Aquarium. There was lots to see and do in the surrounding area. Bed and pillows were fantastic! We also spoke with Kevin (Front Office Manager), and he took us to view the Ballroom on the 3rd floor. This space is absolutely stunning, and would be a great place to have a wedding or reception in. The only disappointment we had was ordering drinks from the bar. We found wait staff more interested in being on their phones, or leaving the area many times, rather than serving customers. The drink prices are over the top. We were able to get Rainier Beer for $4 USD and a glass of House Red Wine for $8 USD at the Owl and Thistle pub (a 5 minute walk away). So it's difficult to justify paying the highly inflated prices for drinks at the Polar Bar, and then having to pay an automatic 20% tip for zero service! The Arctic Club Hotel is at the start of the homeless area. We had zero concerns about roaming around the area. We took in a Mariners game on a Monday night, and again zero safety concerns when we arrived back at the hotel at 10:00 p.m.

Every time I stay here, I am first greeted by the attentive Valet staff who also take very good care of my vehicle. Then the Front Desk staff welcome me back and always make a point to make me feel welcome. The rooms are always spotless and well stocked with items that I can buy if I desire. The location is pretty central and in walking distance to just about any activity you would like to do. T-Mobile park is a short 20 minute walk south and Pikes Place Market is the same distance north.

My wife and I stayed with a group of friends for 3 nights and we couldn't have been more pleased. In general, it's a charming historic property with well-appointed, comfortable, and clean rooms. The staff members were all friendly, professional, and (above all) very helpful. The hotel is also conveniently located near downtown and local sports venues. It's also near both the Pioneer Square and University Avenue Link Stations so easy access to and from SeaTac.
More specifically, we were traveling with a friend who is in a wheelchair and has other accessibility needs. We chose The Arctic Club because it was advertised as fully accessible and that is absolutely true. We had no issues with access for guest rooms, elevators, or the lobby/public spaces. Breakfast is served in a space with stairs down from a main entrance but the staff allowed our friend to use a service elevator each morning. In addition, the hotel's management ensured that in-room shower and toilet facilities were easily accessible and confirmed all of their arrangements with our friend prior to arrival. They were consistently considerate and respectful in all of their communications and actions and we felt welcomed and well cared for throughout the stay.
This is an outstanding hotel.

We loved everything about the Arctic Club Hotel! The staff was very attentive, helpful, & kind. A gentleman met us at the stairs to help carry our luggage into the lobby. The room attendant/housekeeper immediiately arrived after our check in to deliver an extra pillow, robe, & towels since we had a 3rd person in our room The bedding was high quality & very comfortable. We loved the old time charm of this hotel. The included breakfast was one of the best we've experienced at a hotel. They also have a nice gym facility. Just to be entirely transparent, the hotel is in the middle of the city, so there is noise & a small homeless population near the hotel. That being said, I did not feel unsafe & used my white noise app to help with sleeping. We walked to the waterfront, aquarium, & Pike's Market from the hotel. We will definitely stay here again if we come back to Seattle!

We have been coming to this hotel since before it officially opened and have experienced all the different owners throughout the years. This last visit was not as high calibre as it has been in the past. For starters we requested an early check in. We were not granted one when we got there as we watched from the bar a bunch of people get checked in and to their rooms ahead of us.
The soaps in the rooms have changed, now they are on the wall and they are terrible soaps. They hardly sud up and the smell is not flattering.
For the hide a bed, it came equipped with a top sheet only for a blanket, no actual blanket in the room for it. My Son ended up cold in middle of the night. Why would I need to ask for a blanket for a bed? Should have come with one.
They took out the little “extras” in the room such as q-tip and cotton balls etc.
The valet experience was not great. We requested our car via text. The response back was we will be notified when our vehicle is ready. We did not hear anything for quite some time so figured they were very busy and we weren’t in a hurry so we waited. We get a phonecall from the lady asking us wheb plan to come get our car as it’s been waiting for us. We told her we never got a response back and told her we will be down in 15 mins. Right after hanging up we get a text that says if we aren’t there in 5 mins they will be putting our car away. Upon arriving the lady running the valet was somewhat rude to us and we were not impressed.
Breakfast downstairs, all the tables were dirty and have piles of dishes on them. There wasnt one clean table so we have to get rid of the dishes ourselves. There didn’t seem to be much for staff down there and the food selection was not what it use to be. There was definitely very limited options for gluten free. You also use to be able to order drinks from the bar there such as hot chocolate etc but they seemed to have discontinued that as well.
We paid a premium price, about double what it normally is and for sure the most we have ever spend for 1 night there and it did not perform or deserve to charge guests that much.
Back in the day I would have labelled it a luxury hotel with a warm welcoming feel by hotel staff and now it’s lost that feel and it seems like it’s run by largely younger people. Very disappointed in our last stay. We are already booked to stay one more time so hopefully is improved otherwise sadly it’s time for us to move on and find a place that is more worth the money spent.

Thank you for your candid feedback, and we're truly sorry to hear that your most recent stay didn't meet the high standards you’ve come to expect. We understand your frustration, especially as long-time guests who have experienced the hotel’s evolution over the years. It’s disappointing that early check-in was not accommodated, especially as you observed others being checked in before you. We'll make sure this concern is addressed to ensure fairness for all guests. We’re also sorry to hear about the issue with the soaps and the hide-a-bed, as well as the lack of attention to small but important details like extra blankets and amenities. The valet experience you described is certainly not up to our expectations either, and we’ll be looking into that, as well as the state of the breakfast service and the lack of gluten-free options. We strive to provide exceptional service, and it sounds like we missed the mark during your stay. We appreciate your loyalty and the time you've taken to share your experience, as it gives us valuable insight into where we can improve. We sincerely hope that your next stay will be a return to the high-caliber experience you're used to, and we’ll work hard to make it right.

I’d honestly not put too much thought into choosing the Arctic Club - I selected it due to its character, the location, and the cost. I found it an absolute delight to stay in and wished I could be in Seattle more than two nights just to stay there longer! The staff was warm, friendly, and helpful. The lounge/bar area was just wonderful - curling up with a drink on a leather sofa in front of a gas fire was a wonderful way to end the day. My room was a good size with a nice view, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches such as the large chair, desk, and adjustable lights for reading in bed. The whimsical towel animal was cute and the bath gels and lotions were great. I think the Arctic Club would be a great choice for anyone who appreciates a comfortable peaceful stay, but especially for the type of people who love old libraries, who could happily spend a day exploring a nearly forgotten museum, who appreciate being able to enjoy a few moments of relaxation and comfort at the end of the day - this is the place for you. One of my favorite hotels I’ve ever stayed in.

This was a very fancy hotel and we very much enjoyed that level of luxury to end our trip to Washington, after staying in mid range hotels up to this point.
The hotel room itself was quite large, with a large sitting area in addition to where the beds were. The bathroom was massive too. Everything was clean except for finding a dirty sock below one of the beds. We didn’t have much of a view, it overlooked a giant construction pit next door filled with trash.
Be aware that there are a lot of homeless people around the hotel, although we did not have any problems with any of them.
Not sure if this is every rate, but our rate included breakfast (I got the impression that every room rate included breakfast, but don’t know for sure). The breakfast was quite good! There were several hot items, fresh, fruit, pastries, yogurt, coffee, and tea.
The hotel has a very beautiful ballroom which is a signature architectural piece, but they were having a private concert during the time of our stay. However, the front desk staff was polite enough to let us go in the room escorted so we could see the architectural details of the room! That was very kind of them.
We hung out both evenings in the lounge area: it was quite quiet the first night, but the second night when we went down the family there was a ton of folks there for the concert, and we decided to go back to the room instead.
Parking at the hotel is outrageously expensive , we joked that we were buying a hotel room for our car.
Generally, I like to stay at points hotels because paying cash for a room of this type is fairly expensive, but it was still a nice stay even though not worth how much we paid. I would recommend the hotel to others, if that value proposition was good to them.

The Arctic Club is a beautiful historic gentleman's club. The gorgeous interior is decorated with Mission/Arts and Crafts era decor. Even the stairs are marble. The huge lobby was a great place for our extended family visits. We stayed at the Arctic Club for a nearby family wedding and reception.
The breakfast was delicious with a wide variety of hot and cold foods. There was ample room for our family members to gather and visit over breakfast and linger with coffee and tea. The hotel staff were ALL friendly, helpful, and gracious! The valet parking was well run, our car was well cared for for 3 days, and we could have it brought around by simply texting when we needed it by. Be aware this is downtown Seattle and there are homeless people everywhere. One should be street aware if walking around, but we felt completely safe. The Pioneer Square light rail stop is across the street from the ArcticClub. Many of our family members took that to and from SeaTac, which was quite convenient. I highly recommend staying at the ArcticClub, you're in for a treat!
