It’s a nice hotel, nothing really noteworthy to complain about.
The beds are comfortable, the pillows actually are decent which seems to be a rarity these days
It’s right across the street from the Swedish medical campus and there is a discount offered to medical tourists
.
ADVICE FOR MEDICAL TOURISTS: if you have to stay a few days after your procedure (I had to stay two more nights post op) - think about what food you will eat. The restaurant, which I assume is just a leased space on the ground floor, does NOT have a menu with you in mind. They’ve turned pretty much every menu item into some flavor gimmick - even the chicken soup has some weird flavor to it, it was gross
.
Unfortunately I have to go back in two months for a second operation. This time we are bringing things we can cook in the in room microwave - I’ll eat Cup a Soup instant noodles for a week before ever ordering the chicken soup off the Jimmys menu
.
Room service is from the restaurant- burger, CUP of soup, two pieces of toast - $63.00 (including tip)

Very welcoming hotel. Room was comfortable, clean and quiet. Great bed! All employees were very helpful. The perfect location for visiting friends in Capitol Hill. I hope to return on my next trip to Seattle.

This hotel was just as pictured. The room was clean and spacious and the bed was amazingly comfortable!
Great location to walk to and from great little restaurants.
Went looking for snacks late one night (11pm) and desk clerk suggested a gas station about 3-4 blocks down the road, it was a bit sketchy at night but also lots of people around going to bars/clubs.
The one thing I was disappointed with (Reason why it’s not a 5 star review) was we stayed for 2 nights, and we didn’t need housekeeping services so we just asked the housekeeper to do a towel exchange. She was very pleasant and we did a quick exchange and she asked if we wanted housekeeping and I said no just the towels were fine so don’t bother. 5 minutes later someone else arrived with more towels..
Ok fine. Strange but fine.
We then decided to leave the room and go downtown, we placed the do not disturb sign in the card reader to remind them that no housekeeping was needed… when we returned the do not disturb sign was back in it’s holder inside the room and the room had been made up. We did put our valuables in the safe before leaving but just so guests are aware make sure you lock everything up even if you say do not disturb.

Responded 20 Jul 2022
Hello mrselia, and thank you for your review here on Tripadvisor. I apologize for the issue with Housekeeping, I will most certainly follow up with our team here to ensure that what you describe does not happen again. Respecting "do not disturb" signs is very important to our guests and I'm sorry for the oversight that occurred. While there are some occasional translation issues with some of our employees, a do not disturb sign is a clear sign to all, and our employees have been trained on this. I apologize for the issue and appreciate you bringing it to our attention. Sincerely, Dan O'Leary

I was a hotel guest @ Silver Cloud Hotel, Broadway. Room 646 for four nights.
House Keeping Services was not provided to my room on Friday, 7/28. House Keeping knocked on my door Friday morning at 8:45 am, no door sign “do not disturb” was posted. I responded to housekeeping “not yet”. I returned to my room @ 5:15 pm that evening to discover no housekeeping service was provided , so I called the front counter, their response: “Housekeeping is closed for the day” and there is no other option. I went to the front counter the next morning and informed them that I will be out of my room so housekeeping can clean my room. I advised them that my room, 646, was not cleaned yesterday by housekeeping.

Hotel is excellently located, restaurants, bars are all within walking distance.

Spacious Family room with two double beds. Clean and comfortable beds, bathroom is a little dated but functional. The service was mixed and felt rather transactional. We ate breakfast out each morning at Skillet but they do offer breakfast at Jimmys. Some reception staff were helpful and others did the bear minimum. Hotels were pricy in this area but this felt over priced for the service and experience.

Our loss that we only booked one night as everything was perfect. Located across the street from Seattle University, and within blocks of the Swedish Medical Center and probably hundreds of restaurants and bars. Our room was ready early which allowed us to park our car and walk for the duration of our stay. Staff were without exception courteous and helpful, room was spotless and very quiet. Price was exceptional though parking is rather pricey, especially since there’s free street parking within a 5 minute walk. We will be back.

A relative was outpatient at the Swedish Infusion clinic, following a stem cell transplant. He had to go daily for 3 weeks, so staying nearby was a necessity, as was 24 hour supervision. While it being a block from Swedish was the reason he chose Silver Cloud, their customer service will bring us back. All the staff was friendly, understanding and available. When he need a tub bench to shower, it got to the room before we returned from requesting it. Free laundry facilities on each floor. The gym was closed due to Covid, so I didn't get to see that. I stayed for 10 days of the 3 weeks. Beds were comfortable, pillows were comfortable (!) and the room was large enough to get around, in spite of all our supplies. The management even let us bring my relative's small dog into a corner of the lobby for 20 mins, as he hadn't seen in his dog in a month. It is in easy walking distance to many restaurants, 2 drug stores and 2 grocery stores.. It is across the street from Seattle University, which has an open campus. A good place to sit back and relax. I have traveled a lot in my life, for business and for pleasure and I would put this in the top 5 of places I have stayed.

This is the most comfortable and accommodating major city hotel I've stayed in the past several years. The hotel was immaculate and the room amenities included:two sinks (bathroom and entry way), fridge, microwave and a pleasant city view. It was quiet and the bed was very comfortable. I wanted to purchase a carton of milk at the hotel food mart and even though they did not have any for sale, the person stocking the beverages took the time to bring me a cold glass of milk from the restaurant kitchen and he did not take my money when I offered to pay. My stay was comfortable and a respite during a very difficult family medical event. The single, best word to describe my stay at the Silver Cloud Hotel is "gracious". Thank you, SilverCloud, for the much needed rest and kindness.

I believe this is one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. The rooms are lovely and clean and the hotel feels safe. What really stood out to me was the customer service from the front desk. The front desk folks are "grown-ups" and I was treated with respect, kindness, and professionalism. Truly outstanding. My most unhappy moment at this hotel was learning that while the room rate was very fair, the PARKING RATE was a whooping $38 per night. What person coming from out of town to the hospital is not going to have their car? Ouch. Not cool. Know that there is a Whole Foods right across the street for all your needs, if takeout from Jimmies does not suit. You can easily walk to Swedish if you desire and not drive at all.

Hello MBB66066 Thanks very much for taking the time to complete a TripAdvisor review of the hotel and our team. We really appreciate it. I'm happy to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and that the team was helpful to you during what is certainly a stressful time. Yes, parking in Seattle can bae a shock to those travelling from out of town. On top of the cost, the city tacks a 22% tax on top as well. I do think that if you were to survey the Seattle downtown hotels we are among, if not the lowest in cost. However, I do understand you concern. Again Thank you and we hope to see you back again during happier times. Best Regards, Jeff

The hotel is close to everything, including 18 Starbucks, drugstores, restaurants and a grocery store within a few blocks of the hotel. There is a QFC grocery store 2 blocks north on Broadway. The hotel lobby also also sells some toiletries. Enjoy your stay!

Parking is underground. Parking in downtown Seattle is at a premium and you should feel lucky that the hotel provides it even at a cost (small one compared to what is available outside). We drove a reasonably normal size SUV, so I would presume that a regular size van should be easily accommodated. I would check with the hotel if you have a larger type van just to make sure.
Answer from Jeff P
Good Morning, We do have a shuttle that runs from 7AM until 10PM daily. Since many of the Mariners games end after our last run we recommend the use of the Trolley to and from the games. The trolley costs $2.75 per person each way and picks up one block from the hotel and drops off about 2 blocks from the stadium. It really makes for easy in and out access from the games. I hope this is helpful.
