Nestled near Pike's Place Market, the Seattle Marriott Waterfront is celebrated for its prime location, especially convenient for cruise travelers. While the hotel boasts spotless rooms and is often commended for its cleanliness, guests have remarked on occasional minor issues. The staff's friendliness shines, although some guests have encountered service hiccups. Comfortable and well-furnished rooms are a plus, but AC noise and nearby trains can be bothersome. Despite appreciating the aesthetic wood-style flooring, visitors suggest improvements in amenities and find the value lacking due to high costs and additional fees.

We decided to stay at the Marriott before and after our cruise - we cruised Norwegian cruise line from Seattle and discovered that the Marriott was right across the street from pier 66. Although pricey, the amount of money we saved in cabs and Ubers more than made up for it. It is walking distance to pike place market and all of the attractions at the waterfront like the Ferris wheel and aquarium. Best of all, we were at the cruise ship in moments! They were so helpful in accommodating our early check in request. The room was very nice- comfortable bed and pillows, great shower. Jeff at the concierge was very informative and helpful.
Only negatives - the lobby store was frequently out of water, and the rooms aren’t private at all. Someone can look right into your room from another room or from the elevator/stairs to pike place.
Overall though the location and convenience make it a very worthwhile stay and if you’re cruising Norwegian from Seattle, it’s the way to go.

The Seattle Marriott Waterfront is simply an awesome property to stay at while in Seattle. We flew in to attend a Seahawks home game and found this hotel to be the perfect blend of location & comfort. Located @ 1.5 miles from Lumin field, it was a quick scooter ride away. The property was very clean, well taken care of, and the rooms were very comfortable. I really liked the wood'ish flooring with throw rugs, really felt cleaner than carpeted floors that are normally found in hotel rooms. The restaurant was good, especially for breakfast, and the market place was convenient when we came back to the hotel in the evenings. There is a great breakfast place in the World Trade Center West, across the parking lot from the hotel entrance, and a fantastic seafood restaurant across the street. Other eateries are close in downtown Seattle as well, so there are great choices to eat near the hotel. We took a five minute scooter ride for some of the best sushi I've had since being in Japan. Uber made it easy to get to a Kraken NHL game while we were in town as well ... again, the hotel was centrally located between the NHL and NFL venues. Also, located very close to the Pikes Place Market, easy walking distance, or scooter ride ... just a great location and comfortable property. Lastly, the staff was very friendly and extremely helpful ... all-in-all, the Seattle Marriott Waterfront was the anchor point to an extremely enjoyable trip to Seattle. It is our first choice when visiting Seattle! Very highly recommended!

We booked this property in conjunction with an Alaskan cruise. Our room wasn't ready on our early afternoon arrival so Valet stowed our bags and we went out for lunch at nearby Anthony's Pier 66 (great food by the way). While there we received a text reporting our room was ready. We found the front desk staff to be friendly and accomodating.

We were upgraded to a waterfront facing room with balcony but it had a relatively narrow view of Puget Sound. No issues with the room. We found it comfortable and we were not bothered by some of the issues others have referred to. We slept well.

We did not use the hotel facilities outside of the complementary morning coffee in the lobby. As expected many other cruise passengers were coming and going.

The hotel is less than a mile from the Space Needle and even closer to Pikes Market and the attractions near the Seattle Great Wheel. Many dining options along the waterfront too.

The hotel does offer shuttle service to Pier 91 which services Holland America and Princess Cruise lines. Norwegian Cruise line operates from the terminal right across the street from the Marriott.

For a two night stay it was not inexpensive but the we appreciated the conveniene to the attractions and the cruise ports.

Where to begin? Having booked a partial ocean view, we also got a partial what looked like a dump or landfill view. See photos. An extra bonus was that the hotel is right adjacent to the rail road tracks that are quite active. The trains go frequently, and they run all night. This occurred 3 nights in a row, so not an anomaly.
We requested an additional luggage rack at check in. After 4 more requests, it showed up 24 hours later.
Overall, the staff seem to have minimal or little training in the hospitality industry. Not a lot of follow through or attention to customer service.
We were notified ed at check in there is a new $25/dollar per room “fee”. It cannot be considered a resort fee, as this is far from a resort. But, for that fee you’ll get a candy bar and bottle of water in a brown paper sack. Apparently this fee also lets you use the workout faculty add pool. This are normally included in the cost of a room.
Not really sure what the “ fee” is for. We had different explanations from each staff member.
As the hotel is directly in front of the cruise line terminal, the restaurant and lobby area are completely overrun when the ships arrive early in the morning.
Also, on three weekend the Club/ Lounge is open, but there is nothing put out, leaving you reliant on the
Restaurant that just had a cruise ship empty into it.

I travel frequently and typically stay at Marriott properties. They are not all managed equally, and this is a great example of one that misses on some of the basics. This property appears to be popular for folks spending the night before or after a cruise, and when a ship is in port this hotel is overwhelmed.

1. Coffee and water in the lobby, and for the record I don’t really feel this is a tough one to get right. Day one they had 2 coffee carafes that were both empty and a packed lobby. As you might imagine people were standing around waiting for the coffee to get refilled. Front desk staff appeared annoyed when another traveler mentioned that they were out of coffee. Day 2 lobby is not crowded, but now only one carafe and, yes it is empty. Same thing with water in the evenings. 🤔
2 Balcony off of the room is microscopic. No chairs and there is no room for them.
3. $25 destination fee. These fees are really just a way to bury a $25 per night rate hike and lots of properties have them. Typically you at least have some resort features or stellar location or something to tie this to, but not here. They do offer you $25 off purchases at the restaurant or bar per day or discounts on lesser used tourist attractions 🙄
4. Restaurant is not open at 6am on a Monday…really? Especially annoying when you go back to #1
5. Indoor/outdoor pool is backyard sized and the gym is just OK
6. Valet directed us to self park but failed to mention it would be more per day than the valet per day charge. Circled back to valet,

Next time in Seattle I’ll choose a different property

I chose this hotel due to it's proximity to the cruise pier and my cruise departing the following day. Were I to do this again I would choose another hotel due to how expensive this hotel is as well as lack of amenities. On the plus side I arrived around noon and they allowed me an early check in without additional charge, the bed was comfortable and the shower was excellent (with a handheld shower wand which I always appreciate) but with the exception of the lack of a leg shaving ledge. Do shower designers think women are all contortionists??

There was a railroad track near my room however any sound related to that didn't bother me.

For this price you'd think the room would have a microwave but did not.

My biggest issue with this hotel was regarding food - breakfast is not included. A soda at their "trolley cafe" was $4.40! I ordered room service for dinner, a burger and dessert. With tip it came to $44 and was INEDIBLE!!!! The burger had so much salt or maybe it was seasoning ( I couldn't tell and couldn't remove it) that I literally could not eat it.

I’ll start by saying the location is great, especially if you’re going on a cruise because the ships leave from the hotel’s front door. So if you are going on a cruise this is a great place to stay. However, if you’re not going on a cruise keep in mind that the hotel does not clean the rooms. We stayed with my son and his friend. They were there for 4 nights and their room was never made up. We stayed for 5 nights and our room was made up only after we complained. After the third night I asked to speak to Jesse Boyer the manager on duty at the time. I was hoping for an explanation. I was told that he’d be out in 5 minutes. After more than 15 minutes, Jesse hadn’t showed up and since we had a dinner reservation, I had to leave. The following day when once again the room wasn’t made up I asked again about cleaning the room and this time the front desk told me that they inform guests at check in that they don’t clean the rooms unless asked to. If they mentioned that to us none of the 4 people in our party could remember it. So I asked if they could clean the room and we were told it was too late; but they could bring us clean towels and coffee if we’d like and they did. I get that a room probably doesn’t need to be cleaned every day. I’m a Platinum Elite Bonvoy member so I travel quite a bit. But had they told me at check in that they wouldn’t clean the room every day, I would have asked to have it done at least after two days. They have to clean the room for the new people coming and going on the cruise ships.

Also the M Club is a shadow of itself. There is no breakfast buffet and the only real benefit is free chips and drip coffee. The bar for club members is also shut down. The front desk said it was due to COVID-19. But really? The hotel was packed. The restaurants and attractions are packed as is just about everything in the tourism industry. It’s time to adjust to the new normal.

I stayed at the Marriott because I was scheduled to embark on a cruise that left from downtown Seattle. I intentionally did not reserve a room with a view because large cruise ships anchor across from the hotel. I assumed that would harm the view. However, I was wrong. One ship pulls in a day, lets off passengers, gets more and leaves. It's a good thing that I was upgraded to a view room, because I was able to appreciate a view of Puget Sound.

The room was a good size with a small balcony. The bed and pillows were comfortable and the hotel quiet. The staff are friendly and helpful. The location of being both at the waterfront and just a short walk to Pike Place Market make this an ideal location for me. Jazz fans will find its just a 10 or 15 minute walk to Jazz Alley.

Our June visit was a disappointment. Our room was not cleaned once during our stay despite daily requests to the front desk. We also never had housekeeping empty our trash emptied or had clean towels brought up, despite going to the front desk in person every day. We were apparently not the only guests to experience such difficulties as other guests were leaving their dirty sheets/towels in the hallway in addition to trash cans that had not been picked up.

Additionally, there was construction going on throughout our stay from 9 to 6 every day. This wasn't mentioned when we checked in so we found out about it when we heard drilling right above our room. This at least drowned out the arguments we heard through the thin walls from our neighbors in the adjacent rooms.

I have attempted to contact the Rooms Operation Manager, Jesse Boyer, while I was a guest and since checking out, but he has not replied to my efforts. I cannot in good conscience recommend your hotel and unless steps are taken to compensate us for this mediocre experience, I will always recommend that my family or friends stay at your competitors such as the Hyatt, Four Seasons or even the Hilton.

Good day.

This Marriott hotel was is conveniently located near Pike Place, Aquarium, waterfront, etc. The hotel has a nice appearance and a friendly staff. We found our room, however, although comfortable with amenities that met our needs was very noisy when the heating/air conditioning system was running.

The hotel has a small self serve area to purchase snacks and drinks. Prepare yourself for sticker shock if you enter.
