Hyatt At Olive 8 earns high marks for its spacious and immaculate rooms, with the added comfort of modern amenities contributing to a welcoming atmosphere. Guests have called out the top-notch facilities, including the spa, pool, and fitness center, though a few have noted noise issues and a want for in-room microwaves. While the prime downtown Seattle location is a hit among travelers for its convenience, some feel the additional charges undermine the hotel's value. Service is generally applauded, despite occasional inconsistencies.

The whole experience was just so wonderful! When we got to the hotel room, there was a pack-and-play for our 6-month-old already set up with a nice towel and shampoo and soap for the baby. The gym is great! There is really good yoga there at least twice a week and lots of great equipment (standard stuff you'd find in a YMCA), as well as water and things to wipe the equipment with. We really enjoyed the pool and large hot tub too, as well as the steam room and sauna in the locker rooms. The internet worked well. The bed was really comfortable and it was nice to be able to get a change of sheets each night because the baby would make a mess on it during the day. The bathroom was very comfortable as well, equipped with a nicely pressured shower, bottles of liquid soap, shampoo and conditioner inside the shower; a hair dryer, lots of towels, and more. They gave us until 1 PM to check out, which was really nice given that our baby was kind of fussy and we had trouble getting out on time. We actually decided to stay a few hours longer after checkout because our plane was leaving late at night, and we were allowed to use the pool area until 4 PM. There was a good-sized fridge in the room as well. The only thing that would have made this just absolutely perfect would be to have a microwave in the room, but there was one downstairs, along with a clean-water dispensing machine that had three temperatures (cold, ambient, hot).

After a great stay at the Regency, I spent the final two nights of my trip at the nearby Hyatt at Olive 8. From arrival to check-out, the experience was flawless.

The location is an easy ride on the light-rail and just a few blocks walk from the station. I was welcomed up arrival and my status was noted. I was offered late check-out and daily housekeeping, but declined both since it was just a short two-night stay. The lobby is swanky and the staff were extremely friendly.

The room I was given, a king room on the top floor, was absolutely gorgeous and spotlessly clean. In spite of the relatively modest size, there was ample desk space, a comfortable sitting area with a table, a bench, a cabinet with other amenities and an oversized bathroom. The room was incredibly functional for work and relaxation and had an overall cozy feel to it including the black-out blinds. The bed was extremely cozy with crisp bedding, fluffy pillows and a padded vinyl headboard facing a large TV. There were plenty of accessible outlets for charging devices, a robe and slippers, and even a sound machine for sleeping. The reusable metal water bottles and filling stations are also a great feature.

My experience at the restaurant and bar were outstanding and reviewed separately. I thought the prices were reasonable with friendly and efficient service. For large conferences, my preference is often to stay 'near' rather than 'at' the conference venue, and I would absolutely consider a stay here the next time I'm in the area. The Hyatt at Olive 8 is exactly the kind of experience I look for in a city hotel.

We spent the weekend over at this hotel and I couldn't be more pleased with the service, cleanliness and attentiveness of ALL staff. They had a birthday basket set up for my son and over all our experience and needs have been met by the team. My son used the pool the whole weekend and I was impressed how the upkeep is, I've seen the team test their pool water (for chlorine and PH levels I guess?). Breakfast was delicious though the day we were there a staff server had called out so they were a bit behind in serving food. The only thing I would say is the valet parking is $59 per night but nonetheless this is the perfect location downtown!

The hotel hs a great contemporary ambiance. Coffee shop and restaurant and ground floor along with a water dispenser.
Rooms come with aluminum bottled water that can be refilled through the hotel’s water stations.
We had an “end” room that had a larger floor plan. The room was spacious but wasn’t used effectively. Lots of empty space, would have been great to have a sofa in the room.
The placement of the bar area with mini fridge literally next to a bed was inconvenient because of noise from the fridge
Everyday we had to ask for an extra set of towels because we were short one. And we also had to ask for conditioner as that ran out. Housekeeping could have done better on that’s
Overall a good stay. Being located 10-15 mins walk to Pikes Place and so many other restaurants and retail areas made this stay more pleasurable.

Their sustainability efforts are much appreciated; they provide reusable water bottles and a filtered water dispenser in the lobby, their roof has greenery on it and informative signs that tell you that green roofs reduce runoff and increase water retention, etc and the room electricity is tied to the key card. I loved these features. In addition, I arrived late night, and Misako at the front desk made my check-in experience so pleasant and even offered me a snack on the house since I "may be hungry from the late travels". Have not had a better check-in experience before! Finally, the bed and pillows were so comfortable, room was spotless, everything was very up-to-date, and wifi actually worked the whole time just fine. Hard to find all that at a hotel! Highly recommend.

We traveled here to stay for our wedding weekend. Valet was easy check-in was easy we had at one point declined housekeeping services, but upon making a bit of a mess with my bouquet we were able to go down and ask if housekeeping could come up and by the time we had returned from errands that day everything was clean again. It’s very close and walkable to a lot of really great restaurants, you’re not far from the space needle or pike place market either so if you prefer to Uber or even just do a bit of a walk, I think it’s just far enough away from being center of those attractions, but still being able to enjoy them in a close distance. Given that it’s downtown I expected some level of noise and we were on the 16th floor so we didn’t get as much as maybe other floors might but there was also a sound machine in the room that we would turn on at night and I heard nothing aside from that sound machine. This hotel is also very close to the convention center and even with something in town for the gamers conference noise was minimal and I don’t recall it, interrupting our stay at all. The room was clean the hotel was clean. There is fantastic bagel/coffee place in the lobby and I popped down there every morning (4 mornings total) and got a bagel with cream cheese for about $5. They have other more expensive bagel sandwiches with all different types of toppings and I want to say those range from $8-$16. If you’re staying in the area on business, it’s very handy to have something quick right there. It’s also right across the street from the other Hyatt hotel so if you want more traditional like energy drinks things like that you can visit their convenient store too. We also valeted our car the entire stay and for downtown I would say the overnight parking is pretty affordable at $58 a night and it’s wonderful not have time to worry about finding parking. We had friends that stayed about 2 miles south from us and had to park in a public garage, and when they left the following day, their window was smashed in. Makes me all the more glad we used valet the entire stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Coming off an Alaskan Cruise on Labor Day Weekend the hotel staff was so attentive. Our rooms were ready by 10AM and the hotel manager personally came over to us in the lobby to make sure we were comfortable. The check in gals were so pleasant and the room was immaculate with a spacious bathroom. Totally exceeded my expectations ! The Spa was quite nice also and guests can use the facility free of charge - steam, sauna, etc.

The Hyatt at Olive 8 is a great choice for families or travelers who want to be in the middle of everything, with clean and well-designed rooms, and a well-trained and helpful staff. The main selling point is that you get Hyatt-trained staff in a smaller hotel (when compared to the enormous Hyatt Regency across the street), so you get a boutique feel in city center.

We used the valet parking, which is pricey, but cheaper than using a garage when you account for a few in/outs. Again, since it is a smaller property, we only waited for a minute or two for the car, even at peak times. If you don't want to drive, the Link is just a few blocks away, and, of course, there is always Uber or the Lime scooters.

The Bagel shop in the lobby really punches above its weight, and Tidal is both a great bar and excellent weekend brunch venue. If you want something a bit more precious for breakfast or lunch, Mr. West's is across the street.

We had great interactions with staff all around, and check in and out were seamless. Highly recommended!!!

This hotel was extremely nice. We noticed much quieter than the Regency that was adjacent. The rooms were well stocked with a coffee pot and mini fridge with bottled water restocked dairy all complimentary. The staff greeted us every day and the maid service was exceptional. The location was about a 12 minute walk to Pikes Market. Front staff was extremely helpful. I would definitely recommend booking here and I would stay here again
