The Belltown Inn earns rave reviews for its impeccable cleanliness and inviting atmosphere, complete with artistic touches and a cozy rooftop space. Nestled in a central location, the hotel is a hit with travelers for its proximity to major attractions, although the surrounding neighborhood has raised some eyebrows. While the staff's service receives high marks for friendliness and efficiency, guests warn that noise can be an issue. Despite the praise for its amenities and shuttle service, the additional fees, particularly for parking, are a sore point for some. The rooms, though small, are celebrated for their cleanliness and comfort.

This hotel is quaint, clean, and has a very friendly staff. Huge shout out to Mari at the front desk for all her patience and help with a couple of problems unrelated to our hotel stay. Rooms are a little small, but very clean with comfortable beds and kitchenette. There is a court yard and roof top area with comfortable furniture and a view of the city. Belltown Inn is close to great small restaurants. Lemoncello (Italian) is a 10 minute walk with delicious authentic Italian food!! Pike's Market is about a 20-25 minute walk and Space Needle / Chihuly Museum is about a 25-30 minute walk. There is a little convenience store around the corner for drinks/snacks.
I would definitely stay here again.

It’s wonderful that you found our hotel clean, cozy, and well-situated for exploring all the nearby restaurants and attractions. I’ll be sure to pass along your kind words to Mari—she'll be thrilled to know she made such a positive impact on your stay. Belltown Inn is in a great location to get to many of the things you would like to see and do while in Seattle. The cruise ports, Space Needle, Pike's Market, the Bainbridge Island Ferry and train are all within walking distance. Belltown also offers the convenience of scheduling a shuttle service for you to the cruise ports and SEA-TAC airport at a low cost. The room was very pleasant and had a mini-kitchen with a microwave, mini-fridge, coffee pot and sink. The staff is very friendly and will also hold bags before or after your stay so that you can explore more of Seattle. They even moved our luggage to our room when it was time to check in. Excellent service. There is a small rooftop patio that people can enjoy, as well. The only downside are the curtains do not draw closed in any of the rooms. Also, there are a number of homeless people that are along the streets in the area. The second part, Belltown Inn can't control. Overall, a great experience. Just wish we had a curtain for privacy.

This is a perfect location from the Link Lite Rail from the Seattle Airport costing $3.00 per person. Get off the Westlake Stop and walk on 3rd St, about 6 blocks, 15 minute to Bell and 3rd.

10 minute walk to Pier 66 Cruise Terminal and it's a downhill walk. Walking to the Space Needle or to the Public (Pikes) Market and Waterfront is about 15 minute walk. Just a perfect place, The Belltown Inn.

This is a very clean, well-run hotel in a central area. Good guest laundry on the premises but they have no washing liquid at present. However there is a small store on the corner a block away. Having a laundry is important to us so we can only travel with hand luggage. The stars of the show are Manager Mr Albright and his team who are the best front of house people we have ever met - friendly and helpful. Our first room was the king size accessible - very spacious corner room with all you could need including two chairs which seems to be rare in hotels and good double glazing. The second room on our return was small for an accessible room - the bathroom was large but I wouldn't like to get a wheelchair in the room. It was very noisy being in the courtyard with the hotel laundry going all day until around 10.30 in the evening and a 'plant room' and fountain both adding to the noise. I would recommend this hotel but be careful which room you book as they seem to vary a lot.

Hello, Thank you for your detailed review! I’m so glad you found our hotel clean, well-run, and centrally located—your kind words mean a lot to us. It’s also great to hear that you appreciated our guest laundry facilities, as we know how valuable they are for travelers packing light. I’m sorry we were out of washing powder during your stay. Your praise for Mr. Albright and the front-of-house team is truly appreciated! Providing exceptional service is our top priority, and your recognition of their friendliness and helpfulness will mean so much to them. I’m delighted you enjoyed your first room, especially the spacious king-size accessible corner room with thoughtful touches like extra seating. However, I’m sorry your second room didn’t meet the same standard due to its size and noise levels. Should you stay with us again, please don’t hesitate to let us know your preferences—we’ll gladly help you select a room that best fits your needs. Thank you for recommending us! It was mine and my boyfriends first time visiting seattle. I picked this hotel because of it being the lowest price for the location I wanted. It’s walking distance (15 minutes) to pike place market and the Chihuly glass garden/space needle/ museum of pop. I had low expectations, just wanted a decent place to sleep. When I booked (about 6 weeks in advance)I had asked about early check in as we had an early flight and they said tbd but we could leave our luggage with them if the room wasn’t ready so we could explore. We arrived at 10:30 on a Thursday and lucked out, our room was ready and we were able to nap. Extra towels and blanket no problem. And the rooms are well insulated so the extra blanket was not needed. You control the temp of your room. Room was clean and we never had a noise issue with the rooms around us or the outside. Little cheese it snacks and tea bags on the kitchenette for free. Bed was big and comfy. Loved have a bathtub in my petite queen room. Staff was always so friendly and helpful. Also lemon water and I flavor water available in the lobby. The only complaint was my 5’10 boyfriend wished the shower head was taller. Although the height wasn’t an issue for me I do think they could improve the shower heads. Toiletries we good quality, I’d suggest they look into dispensers for soaps and head products, more eco friendly.

We enjoyed the Belltown Inn. It is in an area with lots of restaurants, and we didn't find a bad one. People were great. We checked in early and they held our bags for us and took them to the room for us, then texted us our room was ready. We wanted to stay an extra night and they were able to do that. It's in an area where you can walk to all of the tourist attractions and we liked that. Parking was in an outdoor public lot but there were no problems with that. They have coffee and water in the lobby.

There were signs in the room to help save the earth by not having your room serviced every day so we decided we could go all week with no room servicing. We got a call the day before we checked out wanting to know if we were ok & could they check the room. While I understand their worry that we had trashed the room, or used drugs, etc, I still felt insulted. They sent 2 maids up who barely stepped in the door until I insisted they check the bathroom, too. What if there had been a problem? Two maids? At least send a manager. This whole thing has left a bad taste in my mouth.
The hotel was great, however, if you stay there you'd better have your room serviced and put those Save the Earth cards in a drawer.

Security of the building and the room were lacking. The outside lobby door didn’t lock and the room only had a deadbolt. Every other hotel has an additional lock when inside the room to prevent anyone from opening the door while you’re inside.

Security is a concern due to the large number of transients in the area (I’ve lived in cities for the last 11 years btw). Twice during my short stay was I heckled by transients either inside the lobby or as I walked in the door. I also saw someone digging in the flower pots outside the hotel door looking for something. Lastly, from my hotel window, I saw a man peeing in the ally across the street.

Please install bar or chain locks or door guards in each of the rooms.

Hi Brianatl2023, Thank you for your feedback. I hope your time spent in Seattle was enjoyable. Our guest room doors are accessible by keys made only for each guests specific reservation only. The deadbolt ensures nobody is able to attempt to enter the unit, which is standard. We do not allow unhoused folks off the street and when they do eventually (not often) wander in, we ensure they are removed immediately. We have staff 24/7 who walk the property to ensure security, and a third-party professional security company who stands guard at the front of the building each and every night. Our front doors also lock at night. I'm sorry that you still did not feel safe. Travel safely and kindly - Caitlin Boyer, GM caitlin@belltown-inn.com

I've lived just outside of Seattle for most of my life but sometimes it's a treat to stay in the city and play tourist! My partner and I got concert tickets at The Moore for a Thursday and decided why not take Friday off and stay Thursday night, grab dinner before the show, relax, and be a little touristy the next day? I found a great deal at Belltown Inn and was walking distance to The Moore and many amazing restaurants. Both the person checking us in and checking us out were friendly and helpful. The room was generally nice and quiet, and the coffee downstairs in the morning was great. The only thing I will say is that the sheets were not very soft, but for the price I'd rather have lower quality sheets and higher quality location and staff.

Everything was lovely, i would so definitely stay here again! The area has a lot of public transportation options, so please use google directions (bus option) to help you get to where you need to go for about 4$ a person. Also google where your nearest light rail stations are so you can go all over town for an average of 3$ a person (including to and from the airport!!). This is a great central Location! I cannot reiterate enough how you should take the Link-light rail from the airport to the nearby Westlake station THEN either walk or uber to the Inn.

This is an affordable hotel in walking distance of most of Seattle's attractions. It is renovated with clean and attractive furnishings. The staff was extremely helpful giving suggestions for restaurants, and we appreciated the luggage storage service and text message when our room was ready. They also offer a private van service to the airport that was cheaper than Uber. The only issue, as mentioned in other reviews, is that the hotel is near the homeless services centers so there are homeless people in blocks near the hotel, some very loud and noisy. We had no issues with them, however.

Seattle is a relatively green city. Every sidewalk tends to have small islands of dirt, mulch, and trees where a dog could relieve itself should the owner pick up afterwards. This includes Bell Street Park which runs between the hotel and the dog park and extends for 4 blocks with lots of landscaping and a pleasant walking atmosphere.
Roberta S asked a question Jul 2022
Do you have free breakfast?
Answer from Samson G
Hi Roberta S.! We do not have restaurants in-house but there is a bunch of restaurants in the area. As far as breakfast goes there are a few of those options for you near the hotel. Biscuit Bitch, 5 Point Cafe, and Wake Field Bar are either right next to the hotel or are just around the corner. Just stop by the front desk and we can help with any suggestions.

Hi, is there anywhere nearby to park a car at reasonable cost? Thank you
Answer from Samson G
Hi Annepeter9999, There are plenty of parking options for you near the hotel including surface-level parking lots, underground/structured parking lots, and parking on the street. Parking on the street is free between 8 am - 8 pm daily, and free all day on Sundays and holidays. Our hotel does have a couple of 3rd party contracts with lots in the area. We have 2 lots, one is a surface level lot and the other is an underground parking structure both are $30/taxes per night. Unfortunately, since we do not have enough parking for every room in our hotel, our parking is on a first-come-first-serve basis. At check-in please ask about our parking or other parking options and we will be happy to give you those details in person. Thank you! Very Respectfully, Samson G. Guest Services
