Nestled near Pike Place Market, Inn at the Market is celebrated by guests for its unbeatable location amidst Seattle's top dining and attractions. The hotel's service garners high praise for the staff's warm and efficient approach, enhancing its welcoming atmosphere. Rooms are lauded for their spaciousness and views, though a handful suggest they could benefit from modernization.
Cleanliness is a standout, with meticulous attention to detail noted in pristine rooms and bathrooms. While the hotel's amenities, including the popular rooftop patio, are highly regarded, some guests mention the cost of extras as a downside. Nonetheless, the overall value is often appreciated, making it a favored choice for travelers seeking comfort and convenience in the heart of the city.

Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for a few days before embarking on a cruise and found the location could not be beaten. It is inside the historic boundary of the Pike Place Market and the rooms are spacious and well equipped. Although the room is approaching the time for a renovation it was quite comfortable overall.
We took advantage of breakfast coupons to eat at the restaurant in the block of the hotel and one evening dined at the renowned Sushi Kashiba which forms part of the hotel’s main floor atrium.
The room’s bath was very spacious and featured both a fixed and detachable shower.
Within a two block radius were several restaurants although many closed early at the same hours as the market.
Overall an above average lodging from which to explore the market and downtown core of Seattle.

A friend gave us a gift certificate to this hotel and highly recommended it, so we booked a room for this past Memorial Day weekend. The location was perfect, right in the heart of Pike Place Market. It was nice to be able to go in and out throughout the day after touring.
Our room was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed the rooftop lounge area on the 5th floor. At the end of the day, we sat by the fire and enjoyed the great view of the Elliot Bay waterfront on Puget Sound.
The staff at the Inn were superb! Three of which I took notice, Brenda & Katie at the Front Desk, and an Asian Valet Attendant (didn't get his name). Every time we went in the lobby, he greeted us with a big smile and asked if he could be of assistance. I remember Brenda from a year ago when I booked a room (but had to cancel due to illness). She mentioned the "Sunday Funday Package" which included a discounted room rate, complimentary valet parking for Sun-Tues stay. I made a note of all the great info she provided, as well as her name. She was the nicest rep that I have ever dealt with when booking a hotel. She was so helpful and informative, and not one bit annoyed with all of my questions. I was pleasantly surprised to see her at the Front Desk and finally meet her. Katie was also there, and she kindly applied my GC, as well as accommodate our request for a late checkout. We had a fabulous stay and plan to return in the future. We will highly recommend to all of our friends and family.
Our friend's recommendation was spot on, what a gem!

We had a city view room, but the soundproofing was excellent as we heard no city noises. The room was comfortable with a spacious bathroom. Bathrobes and slippers were provided, while the towels were thick and absorbent. There is an open terrace on the 5th floor with a lovely waterfront and sunset view. My husband and I bought a bottle of wine and lounged there after dinner. Pike Place Market is just across the street. Chihuly Garden and Glass is a few blocks away as is the ferry terminal so the location is perfect.

What a delightful and special hotel! Right in the very heart of the bustling Pike Place Market, Inn at the Market will now be our go-to hotel when we want to visit downtown Seattle. Situated in a little courtyard just steps from all the fun action, shops and restaurants, the location can't be beat.
The vast majority of the staff were welcoming and helpful and it felt like the very antithesis of the generic, corporate franchise hotels that are hard to get away from these days.
Our room was cute, super spacious, clean, quiet and we loved our city view! The rooms with the water view looked spectacular, as well.
The parking is $57 per night plus any tip you would like to give to your valet. If that is more than you would like to pay, there are other options within 1-3 blocks.
It has been ages since we have stayed at a hotel that felt so fun, central, personable ... and special! We are grateful to all of the people and Inn at the Market for all their hard work to create such a gem, right in the heart of Pike Place Market, and just steps away from the spectacular new Overlook Walk that offers plentiful opportunities for sweeping views, and exploring all that the Seattle waterfront has to offer (museums, restaurants, shops, bike riding paths, a kids play area, artist studios, and more).

The Inn at the Market was a nice low-key hotel located within walking distance of many great downtown attractions. We enjoyed the beautiful rooftop patio and the excellent service from the staff--especially the concierge staff who worked the luggage area and taxi/ride services. Our stay was for a night before a cruise and they made that transition very easy and fun for us. We would absolutely stay here again.

This hotel exemplifies the boutique hotel. An amazing bed made it difficult to leave but Pike Place is only half a block away. Staff are beyond detail-oriented and made us feel like welcome and worthy guests. We joked that we felt like we were in an old world hotel where even Poirot would be glowing. About 3 blocks to Benaroya Hall, too, so entertainment abounds nearby as does a plethora of restaurants. Thoughtful bathrooms include a motion-activated fan and lights on dimmers so you do not wake other occupants. Enough plugs for an electronics-loving couple and their CPAP. Absolutely starting a new Christmas tradition. Only negative: it is in an urban area so sirens do pass though they have done an admirable job of muffling the sound.

One of the best times to stay at Inn at the Market is during the winter. The rain, clouds, and wind create dramatic landscapes that you can enjoy from the comfort of a water-view room. Great food is only steps away in the form of take-out, fresh fruits and vegetables, or sit-down restaurants.
My deluxe water view room had a refrigerator, microwave, tea kettle, coffee maker, and bar sink. One day I brought home deli items and made sandwiches. Another day I had crab in the room, with butter melted in the microwave. Note that other than two ceramic cups and two wine glasses, there are no utensils in the room. I knew this, so I brought utensils, small plates, and crab crackers with me. (It hadn’t occurred to me to ask the Inn if they have these items on request. They might.)
Winter weather keeps the crowds away. It’s easy to walk through the market. Shops that typically have lines don’t have any in the winter. The Inn provides umbrellas to keep you dry as you enjoy Seattle. There is plenty to do—Seattle Art Museum, Triple Door, Benaroya Hall, and more are all within walking distance.
The reception staff are friendly and helpful. It was a treat to have daily room service. The king bed was quite comfortable as was the couch in the living room area. The bathroom is spacious, with a large shower. There is a large TV in the main room, which I never turned on. (The view was too good.) Finally, you get the best rates in the winter!

Our stay here was just perfect! Making the reservation was seamless and when I called several times for travel tips and logistics, the personnel were very informative about the location and transportation tips. The staff were all friendly, check in process smooth, our room was absolutely perfect with view of the Market sign and ocean to boot! The hotel was actually very quiet and calm despite the hustling and bustling below of the Market traffic. The rooftop patio and fire pits were a nightly treat. Can’t beat the location, we had daily treats from the Market and everything was within easy walking distance. It felt safe as well. We would definitely stay here again and again.

For a first time visitor to Seattle, the Inn at the Market served as a great place to stay. We were in room 708 and it was spacious, had a great balcony and beautiful views of the bay and mountains. This location also served as a great place to visit the Market, eat at many great coffee shops and bakeries, and enjoy wonderful dinners at Matts, Pink Door and SushiKashiba. Highly recommend the hotel and restaurants.

From the moment we arrived, the staff treated us like family, which I know is part of the service industry process but it really felt genuine which is always nice. The room was amazing, person at the front desk told us it was her favorite room when she checked us in and I could see why, we had a clear view of the market and Ferris wheel. A great view that became spectacular at night when everything was lit. I know that was just a lucky draw on our part but whoever gets that room will be similarly impressed. The hotel is within walking distance of all the stuff we wanted to do: Space Needle, Chihuly Glass, Museum of Pop Culture, Pike Place Market, Museum of art, Aquarium and pretty much any kind of food we wanted. Even leaving, we had a red-eye flight and they held our bags with no problem and let us sit int he lobby for an hour or so after we did a full day of touring and even called a cab for us because they said it would be cheaper than an Uber - they were correct. I hope they never change the little touches that make this place wonderful and I thank all the staff for making just another hotel stay, something a little bit more.

I don’t believe that they have rooms on the lobby level. They do have rooms on the 1 st Street level but there are restaurants facing the street there with a small secure access door to the street.
Hello and thank you for your inquiry.
Yes, we have 24 hour access valet parking only for a fee with in and out privileges. Feel free to call our team directly open 24 hours a day at 800 446 4484 or 206 443 3600.
Thank you!
They do have homeless people but I would consider it safe. We were out after dark and did not feel uncomfortable.
Hi. I don't believe they do. Regardless, you will love this place. It is right at Pike's Market. I always search fro discounts and use my AAA whenever possible. However, if my heart is set on a certain place I will forgo that. Please keep in mind of their specials especially if you have a car since the specials include overnight parking. We have taken advantage of their specials often. Our son and daughter in law stayed their as well (twice) and absolutely loved it! Good luck.
