My best friend and I stayed two nights here in Seward and based on our brief experience with the area, the Breeze inn is the best place in the area for lodging. The 24hr staff was very friendly and attentive, parking was free, the location was perfect (right across the street from our excursions & a lovely coffee shop), and they had a laundry room for guests to use if need be. We appreciated the ability to wash our clothes and be very close (walking distance) to everything we visited during our stay. Only critique was that the room was tidy and spacious, however the TV had poor quality and it seems as though the rooms and furniture have not been updated in sometime. Nevertheless, they had access to laundry, a microwave, mini fridge, and a comfortable lobby. We really enjoyed our stay!

We arrived on the Park Connection Motorcoach from Anchorage and dropped our luggage off at the hotel before exploring. The hotel was convenient to walk to from the Harbor Master’s Office where the bust drops you off.
The only downside is the lady at the front desk had a lot on her plate and was clearly very overwhelmed with the volume of work and it seemed very inconvenient for her to have to unlock the luggage room!

Other Pros:
Great location, clean rooms (with hairdryer), big fluffy towels, multiple usb charging ports in the room.

Tip: there is a free shuttle that will take you from the Small Boat Harbor to downtown. For the summer of 2021 it’s running every 30 minutes on a loop.

Seward is a very small town and hence you expectation on any hotel should be in line to that. If you are looking for luxury accommodation you might not find here.
The property we stayed was a good property.
Standard rooms good service the staff was courteous and promptly changed the room.
They don’t have complimentary breakfast but you can have your breakfast in their restaurant
Parking is free.

Toilet dirty, coffee maker dirty, found jelly beans near bed and the insides of a pen on floor near desk, room surfaces very dirty/not dusted in who knows how long, windows dirty, inside of fridge not wiped out. Bed was ok but covers looked old. See pictures...used a disinfectant wipe on coffee pot--- you see the result.

This is not an Inn, it's a motel. The full name is Breeze Inn Motel. The bathroom had so much scum i could not believe my eyes. I usually don't complain to management about rooms, just never go back to that place if i am not happy with it, but in this case i went straight back to the front desk and showed the lady the photos of the tub in the room she had given us. I said it was unacceptable. She responded that she wasn't the one who cleaned it and there was nothing she could do. I asked to have it cleaned, she said not possible, she was the only one there. I asked to be moved to another room, she said not possible, they were fully booked. I then said when I pay close to $200 per night i expect a clean room. Her response? Well, you actually got a deal because you booked through Expedia. It's actually more than that.... Like THAT justifies filth! Just look at the photos. The window seal is filthy, the fan and the buttons are filthy.. the bed cover was stained.. and the tub in the bathroom was simply unacceptable.
Never, ever again.. I'd rather camp next time than stay at this place. Cleanliness is number one for me.
I have to say that the front desk clerk changed her tune a bit after talking to the manager and she was more "sympathetic" when i went to check if they had other rooms to move us to. The manager was also more polite than the front desk lady the night we arrived; but still no resolution. Even if they could not give us another room, she could have very well said here's 2 vouchers for a free breakfast one of the 3 days you are staying, as a token of our sincere apologies for the filthy room. But they did not even do that.. They could move us to another room, until they were able to get someone to clean that one before their other guests arrived. They did not offer ANY resolution whatsoever..
Not recommended.

Good location near the boat harbor and convenient for those taking tours, which we were the morning after our stay. Also easy walk to several restaurant options and some shopping. However, this is actually an old a motel that has been lightly renovated and needs maintenance. With current lack of staffing, that maintenance isn't happening and guests are the ones who bear the brunt, while paying the cost. Out first room had the heat blasting despite showing in the off position and no way to really turn it off. It registered 80 degrees with the front and back windows wide open. We brought this to the attention of the woman at the front desk, who was somewhat understanding but also muttered about lack of maintenance staff. She did agree to move us to another room. Great. We had to then move all our stuff to the end of the hall and into that room. Okay. We dropped our stuff off and were about to go find dinner but went to use the restroom first, but found it already used when entering. Not pleasant. When flushing, we quickly learned that it was clogged. Another trip to the front desk. After some eye rolling toward the lack of maintenance crew, I was offered a plunger, which I said was outside my responsibilities while on vacation and that I'd come back after we went for a walk to give her time to figure out a solution. A few hours later, we checked on the room, saw the situation had not been addressed, and went back to the front desk. We were being upgraded! Okay, that sounds good. We move our stuff again, this time into the main "new" building (which is in no way new). Exhausted and having wasted far too much time on this, we settle in and organize our bags because we have a very long day the following day. We finally end up using that restroom around 10:30 and realize the pressurized contraption in the tank (assuming to avoid the issue in the second room) is having issues and making the water connector line vibrate, which makes the entire wall of the room vibrate for a good hour. We fiddle with the rocket toilet for way too long, knowing that it's not worthwhile to ask the front desk for help after being told repeatedly that there are no maintenance people available. Way past exhausted, we give up at some point. It's not over... Then, I'm woken up at 5:40 to the room filling with smoke. I panic jump up and realize it's cigarette smoke, then am just angry as I search around for the source. It turns out to be directly under the room, 3 stories down, where there is apparently the best place to smoke at 5:40am. I don't know who it was but add to list of Breeze Inn room grievances as the smoke was coming into our room because the windows did not close completely despite our attempts to lock and seal them fully. Again, it was not a new room at all and needs maintenance broadly and rather desperately. We were zombies the next day and this all could have been avoided. Oh, and we paid money to stay there.

The Breeze Inn was wonderful, which was difficult in Covid times! Staff courteous and helpful. Protected guests as much as possible with their masks and plexiglass. Room services not available, but ask and you would receive towels, soap, etc. Grandson forgot expensive boots and they took care of mailing them to us back home! Location perfect for everything. Most was within walking distance.

I messaged the hotel through Orbitz when I made my reservation, and again the day before arrival, that I wanted a high floor.

I was delighted when they messaged me back that I would be in their favorite room, 331. It is a 3rd floor (top), corner room, with 2 windows overlooking the harbor, bay, and mountains. I have attached photos of the room view.

The room was simple, but newly renovated, very clean, spacious, and quiet. The beds were a little soft.

The staff was very nice.

Just across the street are the harbor, boat tours and their offices, and restaurants.

The bed and shower were good. The location is close to the train depot, bus stop, Exit Glacier guides and most importantly small harbor where you find departures for bus tours. It was a bit old, but definitely a fine place to sleep.

We stayed two nights and the room in the older section was adequate. Needs upgrading. The bed was so soft and worn that it was hard to not roll out. We did pay $60 each night more than most guests as we did not have an AK ID even though we are annual summer residents. We felt discriminated but not selling our AK property because of it. 😉

Hello OLSkool71, Our shuttle operates in the Summer Tourist season. The shuttle does take our guests to the cruise ship terminal. The bus from anchorage has dropped guests off right at the Breeze Inn before as it is on the way to the depot.
