The hotel looks nice, and the rooms are small but functional. There was a large deck in front of the rooms that we treated like our living room, so we were rarely in the room. The sink is separate from the toilet / shower room so two can get ready at one time. The shades only do a marginal job of blacking out the sun. Tip: Bring some small binder clips or large paperclips to hold blackout curtains closed. Helped in a few places we stayed.
They have no food available so you will need to go into town. There is no harbor view…unless you stand on your toes in a couple rooms and look out the bathroom window over the church roof. I cannot speak to value since it was part of a package but can say it was the “least nice” of the 6 places we stayed on our trip.
First, the good… The hotel room rates were more reasonable than others. It offers free parking and the location can’t be beat. Mary, the hotel manager, is fantastic and very personable. The rooms are clean and housekeeping did a great job each day.
Now the bad… The bed was horrible! We were booked for a Queen bed but what we really slept on was a double. The springs in the bed were worn out so it was uncomfortable. The small pillows were just as horrible as the mattress. If that wasn’t bad enough, the walls were so thin that we could hear our neighbors all night long. Not sure if it was their TV but we heard them all night long. I had to turn on my white noise app on my phone just to fall asleep. So, if sleep is very important to you, you might want to choose another hotel.
A note to the owner: Time to refresh your mattresses and bedding and invest in soundproofing your rooms. Mary makes up for what it lacks.
