Two sides of the coin: Matilde resort is a cozy peaceful oasis in the middle of insane crowds in Vodice. However 1) we had to leave this oasis to get coffee (because even for breakfast they serve only powder coffee), and 2) to get drinks (cocktails at the bar are an expensive scam). And 3) they do not change the sheets and towels in your room either. Pity: they could have earned so much by offering decent drinks instead of expensive empty ice….

Resort is nice. Parking is for free inside resort. Apartment is nice and clean. Pool is quite OK and big enough. If it would be heated a little bit would be even better. The beach in front of resort is also OK.

I've been to Ville Matilde from 19 to 26 june of 2010. This complex is really nice decorated with a very good looking pool with lounge chairs around it. The food in the restaurant is very good, the waiters are very nice and neat. The rooms are very complete, a kitchen with 2 induction cooking spots and all the stuff you need, pans and cuttery. Even drying towels and a sponge. The beds were comfortable. The bathroom is somber, like in most countries. You can drink the water from the tap. Vodice has everything you need, but I wasn't too excited about it. Good location between other interesting places. Like the Krka Waterfalls (200 kuna boattrip). You can take the citybus to Zadar, Split, Sibenik or anywhere else. If you walk to the right from the appartments you'll find a nice Trans pebbles beach. Vodice gets a lot of wind from the sea. You can also use (paid) the Wellness Spa from the Hotel Imperial next door.

Great resort. Very nice atmosphere. Great place for family vacation, Great pool and breakfast buffet included, with large choice of food. Cleaning staff are lovely and friendly people with daily service. Few meters to the beach with nice bars and restaurants.

Stayed only one night in July. Prices very high in this period, three times more than in June.
Apartment equipped according to three star. However kitchen part fresh and well equipped for standard.
Balcony overlooked deserted soccerfield and a loud smaller tivoli area.
Nice small poolarea. Not enough sunloungers or spaces for towels. Apparently you had to book the sunloungers at reception for a fee. You could think it should be free for the price already paid...
You have to be aware of that Vodice is a fullfledge tourist spot. Meaning an extremely crowded and not very nice beach. Beachbar lines the beach and so does watersports, trampolines for kids etc. If you like to party it might be your place. If you want to go to the places shown in tourist brochures with turqouise water and charmy villages this is NOT the place to be.
It was certainly enough with one night for us, this is not how I want to remember Croatia.

I, my wife and our two teen daughters stayed at Ville Matilde in Vodice, Croatia, during July 6 to 13, 2013. Ville Matilde is a very nice apartment facility situated in the shade of large pine trees. Our rental was one bedroom, a kitchenette and a living room with a comfortable sofa bed. There are also two-bedroom rentals available. A definite bonus was the air conditioner. If you travel the Mediterranean countries on a low or medium budget, you are not used to the luxury of AC, so this was great. Our balcony faced the pool area and we had great views of the pool and the Sea through the pine trees on the beach. The pool was great for any family member, from kids to grandparents. There were many beaches in the vicinity and you could enter the sea right off the hotel area, but there are no real sandy beaches in Vodice. There are pebbles and small rocks all over, but everyone seems aware of it and use shoes for swimming that are sold everywhere at about 50 HRK (= Croatian Kuna; 100 HRK is ca. 17 USD, 13 EUR, 10 GBP, 118 SEK, July 13, 2013). The staff was nice and accommodating and the reception was open 24-7. Ville Matilde is located about half a mile from the center of Vodice. This is great, because the center is really packed in the evening. There are many restaurants and souvenir shops and an amazing number of tourists strolling up and down the main street along the marina. The street is closed for cars in the evening. We had dinner in restaurants every evening and were mostly satisfied with the diversity of offered meals and pricing. We had grilled tuna steak a couple of times. These steaks were huge and delicious. A typical dinner cost about 300 HRK for the four of us, drinks included. This is very reasonable in comparison to other countries we have visited. If you visit Vodice you will notice that people are constantly eating ice cream cones. Some flavors are very tasty, but stick to the traditional ones, e.g., chocolate, vanilla, pistachio, strawberry etc. This is also very inexpensive: 6 HRK for each scoop. We had one bad experience in one restaurant with rude staff and over one hour’s wait for our meal. So, my advice is to avoid Restaurant Tomislav.
The archipelago of Croatia is very beautiful. Islands are mainly limestone and essentially covered by pine trees. Along the coastline of Vodice there are concrete walking/bike paths by which you can reach miles of beaches North and South. We rented bikes (560 HRK for four bikes for three days) and explored the neighbourhood. I can really recommend the small community of Tribunj about 2 miles north of Vodice. Climb the hill to the chapel and enjoy the amazing view! And have a meal in a restaurant in the Marina. We also brought the bikes on the regular ferry to the Island of Zlarin about 45 min from Vodice (156 HRK one way for the four of us and our four bikes). There were no cars, but a few electric vehicles similar to golf carts, so biking is very safe. On our way back we enjoyed an awesome sunset in the Adriatic Sea. Another tour we would recommend is the nearby (30-40 min by bus/car) national park Krka. This is a wide river flowing through a forested valley, with lots of spectacular waterfalls. There is a wooden foot bath of just over 1 mile, and you can swim the river at the end of the path. Spectacular, indeed.
Finally: We didn’t read the frustrated reviews on Ville Matilde before we bought the package trip, but were aware of their contents upon arrival. People are different, and some will never be satisfied. Yes, there was noise from the beach bars and clubs, but it ceased more or less at 12 pm. The amusement park also closed at 12 pm. Other sources of noise were 1000’s of cicadas, laughing kids, waterfalls and bubble generators in the pool and the waves from the Adriatic Sea about 50 yards from the pool area. It’s vacation, right!?

The appartment was good. Luxurious and clean. Staff was nice and friendly. It's a small park, adivertised for families with childeren. It has a nice small swimming pool and a restaurant with nice people. But.... The view of the first row appartments is on a parking lot.. Secondly... At 16.00 the beach discotheque starts up.. 50 m from te park. Lasts till late... At 22.00 the music is turned down a bit but you still can't sit outsite on your terrace. It's terrible. Staff of the park acknowledge as well as the stff of the restaurant but are very afraid to say something since the owner of the discoteque seems to be the same as the park owner... The noise is really terrible and it's a vague signal staff doesn't really dare to say something...
We left after 2 days whilst booked for two weeks. The reception initially tried to let us to pay the full two weeks amount for parking costs.... It's definetely NOT a family park. We paid 3000 euro for two weeks through Topic Travel who after our complaint did not accept our claim since we could have known since the website says a lively environment ( the employee who spoke with us did not visit the parc). Well the usual bla bla but fair is fair they arranged for us an alternative place at Island Rab (appartments Sua punta, Carolina). 3 hrs extra drive + ferry and 250 euro extra but a fabulous place and a great modern appartment where we had a great great time! So, travel agencies as topic travel and vacance select, don't sell Mathilde in Vodice as a family parc. It's a youth party centre with loud music and sligjtly obscene beach discotheque 50 m away but seen the price not affordable for teen/twenty agers..

We were 4 families who stayed here for 2 weeks in july 2016.
We had the apartments furthest away from the pool.
It was noisy from the club Baloo on the beach, but after twelve at night is was quiet.
The apartment is ok standard, they did not clean in 14 days we had to ask them to change bedlinens and towels since they didnt do it after the 7 days they said.
we had problems with toilet and shower, but they changed it when we told them about the problems.
Our aircondition didn`t work for the last 3 days and made alot of noise, we were told that they had fixed it but this didn`t happen.
They told us that we could change room, but since we were 4 families with apartments next to each other we didn`t change.
No discount were given.
The wifi is not good at rooms or by the pool.
If you want to have beds by the pool, you must be there around 0630 in the morning, because other guest leave their towels there at night even though hotel says it is not allowed.
The hotel is situated on the beach and is 1 kilometer from centre in Vodice.
