We stayed at the resort for 7 days and it was the best experience. Staff was friendly, helpful, prompt and went above and beyond to make us feel at home. Concierge Mike is a must talk to. He gave us several restaurant and excursion tips that were well worth the visit. The condos were large and clean and filled with any amenities you may want. Pools were close by, Weber grills were open to use and on every corner. Our kitchen was stocked with everything from ovens to rice cookers and blenders, on top of the expected. The resort was close to the downtown Kona action but far enough away to have privacy. We give this a 5 star and will be recommending it to our friends and family.
Book an Ohana suite that is a villa with 2 bedrooms regardless of the size of your party. There was plenty of room and appliances. Everything was clean and modern. I see people spending over $1000 per night or all of their airline miles and points at villas in Hawaii that have the same amenities , appliances , etc but just more luxurious. Holua resort has anything you need. Six Pools , bbqs , parking , patios . You should stay here and also rent a car and explore the big island. The staff were very warm and friendly especially Joshen , Nate , Robyn , and Trista. Thank you for taking care of us and recognizing me as a Diamond member with Wyndham. Spend more money for the 2 bedroom villa well worth it.
The staff was warm and friendly. The Maintenance guys gave us fresh mangos and bananas from the trees. The room was excellent and clean! Huge living room too and I loved the 1/2 bath in addition to the full bathroom in our bedroom
We made our first covid era trip and this resort was perfect. I requested a quiet room and we received one in building 17 (I'll only stay in the building !). This group of townhouses was away from the road. The service here was also top notch. Because there is no housekeeping available right now they will replenish your condo supplies with a quick phone call. Everyone who works here is very helpful, friendly and easy to work with. There are several swimming pools and on most days we had the pool to ourselves in the late afternoon. The unit itself was very roomy and we loved the great room with high ceilings, lots of light and a view to the golf course and tropical foliage. These units could use a little bit of refreshing (tile, appliances, lumpy pillows) but everything is in working order so there really wasn't much to complain about. We will definitely return and hopefully will get another quiet unit !!…
Overall we liked this place; however, there were a couple of incidents that were problematic. On our 2nd night, neither of our card keys wouldn't unlock the front door. It's a good thing we were returning to the condo before 11:00 pm when the front desk closes for the night. The cards had to be re-keyed. The second incident was on Day 3 . At check-in, we were told our condo would be cleaned on Day 3; however, no one showed up. A housekeeping attendant had come to deliver the extra blanket we requested and when we inquired about when our room would be cleaned, she had to check with the front office. Apparently the front desk forgot to notify housekeeping. We went out for an early dinner and when we got back, the trash was emptied, towels and amenities replaced. What we liked about the condo was the spaciousness, the kitchen set-up (coffee, dish detergent, sponge provided), and the washer/dryer. We were in Building 20 which is a long walk to the parking structure (and even longer walk to the front desk). We would recommend that housekeeping wash the kitchen floor which was dirty. At check-in, we were offered a discount card IF we attended a "session" which we knew to be a time-share presentation - we declined - and Holua was not pushy which we appreciated.…
