Don't go there poor Quality for the money location is ok right in town you need a car to go to the beach room was small out dated and smelled its just some ones money maker the pool is nice and well kept
Ants everywhere inside unit, felt like a very seedy location. We actually ended up paying full price for a hotel room down the street because it was so off putting. Not worth the points it cost ended up spending more.
when we arrived we stepped into our room and it wasn't in ready condition. We complained and it was fixed. The remote control had no batteries. We bought some. We had small ants in the kitchenet/sink area but we are in the Tropics. I hate ants or any bugs, but I just wiped them away and kept the area clean. Now let me tell you about the Views. Every morning we sat on the porch with our tea and fruit and watched the waves and surfers. I found my happy place. The hotel is on Ali Dr which is the main street in Kona. You can go right or left and you have plenty of restaurant options. We had an amazing time and we are trying to book another vacation in a few months to go back. I totally recommend the Kona islander Inn.
Had unit 128, it was clean. A little small. Very nice pool area. Within walk of almost everything on Ali’i Drive. Room had a microwave, toaster glasses and dishes and a mini refrigerator . It was good for 2 people.
Location is excellent for visiting Kailua-Kona, the units managed through our rci affiliate where great. The room was efficient, clean well decorated and provides the essentials for our visit. The grounds are well maintained the staff a super friendly and treated us like family. This is a place with a down to earth casual atmosphere. If your ideal hotel is a pretentious, upscale , ego appeasing status symbol this is not the place. If you want to deal with real honest people who care about their guests. Fa front desk that greets you like a long lost aunt welcoming you throughout your stay every time you pass through the lobby. Than this is it. The location is terrific walking distance to shopping, dining, nightlife, across the street from a meditation beach. If you don't have outside of area excursions you don't have to move your car. Parking is limited on property so showing respect on how you park in spaces is essential. However there is public parking nearby with a short walk. Vehicles where safe during our stay the few times we parked off property. In reviewing area the parking situation is beyond the properties ability to fix. Unless they. Obtained another lot. Which none seemed available. The only possible solution would be to enter into an agreement with the city public lot nearby who had lots of space did not allow overnight parking. Overall a awesome week visit ,we will be returning asap! …
