Romantic, sweet, delicious and friendly! Great breakfast and perfect position for skiing! Very clean. It feels like home!! Skiing straight in the backyard and then straight to the spa!! Also it is a Pet friendly hotel!!
This modest hotel is more a bed and breakfast than a hotel. You get what you expect from a 3 star but that’s it. The room we had was clean but quite small. Clean bathroom although noisy ventilation system. The beds are very short if you are over 1m80. Decent breakfast but be early as some items do not get replenished if you get closer to 10am. Checkout is 10am but this can be extended up to 12pm for 10€/h.
Nice and warm welcome, breakfast is with lots of varriants of warm croassiants and bakery stuffs. The self-made ceramic plates-cups makes this area so lovely. Clean rooms and friendly stuff. This place is ideall for romantic days and also for families. You have lots of place to play in the garden and if you coming in winter time the ski area is not far away. It is on half way from two big ski-areas.
We were given a room in the basement, (although we payed full price) facing the road. There was absolutely no ventilation and air in the room, which meant we had to sleep with the door open (heavy traffic on and off right outside) When asking to switch rooms, we were told no rooms had ventilation.. -Which meant a week with very little sleep. -It also said ’ski in and out’, but there was apr 100 m walk with skis from the slope. Skiing to a slope wld mean walking apr 200 m. -Unstaffed reception. (During one week we saw someone there 3 times) + breakfast was excellent with scrambled eggs and great variety of local cheeses etc + good wifi. +confortable beds
Lovely place to stay. Please remember to ask for your Zell Am See card which allows free rides on the cable car and free boat rides on the See. Great place to stay with comfy rooms most with balcony with view of lake or the mountain. Cozy would be the word for the for the rooms with sofa, table and chairs and a fridge hidden in the in the cabinet. Bus runs up to the cable car and down the hill to center of town and train station. Fare is 1 Euro with Zell am See card. Breakfast was plentiful with numerous choices as well as fresh fruit. Owners were helpful and polite all during our stay. Loved breakfast on the patio.
