This hotel is fairly affordable for the French quarter and has a very convenient location. The shower is amazing and beds are comfortable. If I were to book here again, I would bring my Vornado fan- our AC was not great. It was also pretty hot out and we are from freezing MA, so there's that. The hotel was responsive to our complaint and had someone look at it right away. They determined the unit was functioning properly. The hotel staff did offer to change our room, and were able to find us a fan when we requested that instead. Overall great stay, helpful staff, good value. Thanks Hotel Mazarin!
We stayed for four nights in this charming hotel. Well maintained and staffed by helpful employees, we enjoyed our room with its tall ceilings, chandelier, perfect air conditioned temperature, and good shower. The beautiful courtyard is a big asset, a great place to find refuge from the heat after strolling around the Quarter.
We stayed for just one night while in New Orleans. The location is great and despite being close to Bourbon Street (if that's what you want) we did not hear any noise from the room. We arrived early, before the check-in time with our car and bags and luckily managed to get parked in the car port at the side of reception. They let us leave the car, but the lady would not let us leave our bags at reception. She told us to leave them in the car and they would call us when the room was ready. After a bit of messing around, taking what we needed out of the car and then handing the keys back, we took a walk around while we waited for the call. The call never came, so we headed back to the hotel at 4pm to check-in. By this time, our car had already been parked by the valet, with our bags in, so we then had to walk down to the valet area, ask them to bring our car around, take the bags out, have the car re-parked and then walk back up the steep ramp with all of our bag, and all because the lady would not let us leave them in reception. If that is their policy then fair enough, it was our fault for arriving early. However, when checking out, which took a very long time as there was a large queue and only one person serving, we noticed lot and lots of people leaving their bags with reception?! I asked the lady (a different one to who checked us in) why we couldn't do that yesterday and she said she did not know why the other lady had not let us do that, and apologized. It could have saved us a lot of hassle! And saved the valet guys from having to get our car and then re-park it again. Anyway, other than that, the hotel was very nice and a lot bigger than you expect. However, the room was small but it was clean and very nicely decorated in the classic style you would expect in New Orleans. The bed was very comfortable and we did not hear any noise, considering the location. We got the room a lot cheaper than it should have been as we booked through Expedia. Would I have paid more for the room? Possibly not, but this was the best hotel we could find at that price, with valet parking and being close to the main streets. If I was ever in New Orleans again, I would stay here, but I'd insist on leaving my bags in reception before the car gets valet parked next time!…
Perfect location with a great staff & room experience. The manager sorted out confusion on reservation duplication quickly. Parking was available for checking in & they had the car parked for our stay. Easy walking to the sites, &restaurants. Very nice bar and well run in hotel. Room was modern, clean and attractive. Good price with everyone in the staff polite & helpful.
Having An Amazing Time. We decided to stay at Mazarin Hotel. 1. Location being in the French Quarter 2. More of a Boutique Hotel Pros: Room Is Clean & Lux, Bed Very Comfortable, sheets, bath towels quality. Love the black marble flooring all through out. Shower and Flush great water pressure. Staff friendly. Cons: In our room there is a loud bang sound from AC unit that periodically comes on for a quick second, so annoying but not a deal breaker to have to ask to change room when we're out most of the day.
