Visiting from Indiana. What a beautiful, historical hotel! Rooms are spacious, filled with antique furniture & decor. Housekeeping does a phenomenal job. Staff is so friendly & helpful. Shout out to John & Finbar for their hospitality!!!
Words cannot express how cool this hotel is! First of all, the location is phenomenal. Its located right in the heart of the French Quarter, which gives you access to limitless options for shops and restaurants. One of the coolest things about the hotel is its history. It is a collection of French Quarter homes and courtyards, dominated by the Olivier-Locoul. Every single room is decorated according to its past history. For example, our suite used to be a horse stable and had horse paintings and other horse related items. The best part is that each piece of furniture is antique. It is unlike any hotel I've ever seen. The hotel room was very clean, and you could tell the people who cleaned it truly cared about the hotel. There is no breakfast, but you can make coffee in the lobby and there is free water. There are also some unique French snacks you can try there. Because you're in the French Quarter though, there are many options for breakfast, including Cafe du monde, which has beignets that I highly recommend you try. The beds. Oh the beds. That was the confiest bed I've ever slept in! I got 9 hours of sleep! That's 3 hours more than usual! We got to meet the hotel owner, and he was so nice. He told us everything about the hotel and showed us around. He gave us advice on the best things to see and do in New Orleans. He really made our time in New Orleans that much better! The hotel also had 3 cats. I love cats! The cat in the last picture loved to be pet and kept following me around asking for more. Overall, this is the best hotel I've stayed in, and is more than worthy of the 5 star rating. It's got a lot of history that is fun to learn about, a great owner and passionate workers, is in the best location ever, and will give you the best sleep ever! It hurt to leave!…
Outstanding service and staff! Above and beyond expectations. Ambience and historical knowledge was impressive. Rooms were beautiful, clean, and full of charm. Pool & services excellent. Highly recommend.
This was a special trip to New Orleans for my son and I after his graduation. The room was beautiful, clean, spacious and rich in history! The staff was very hospitable & friendly. We felt at home! An unforgettable experience. We will definitely be visiting Olivier House again!
The place was extremely beautiful, the rooms were extraordinarily well decorated, the staff was friendly, and overall had a really good time! I would highly recommend this place to anyone staying near Bourbon street!
