A really fabulous hotel to stay in while in New Orleans. Incredibly clean, safe and staff couldn't be more helpful. We loved it so much we hope to return later this year. Easy access to the street car system and several car parks close by. Well within walking distance to the majority of tourist attractions. Would highly recommend to anyone.

Checking in was easy. Our room was spacious with a comfy bed. No housekeeping due to staffing levels. But this didn’t take away from our stay. Clean. Concierge was helpful and cases stored for us after check out. Cost $2 per case. Pool area was lovely but from room was a bit of a maze to get there. Pity bar wasn’t open, but hopefully soon. Very handy for street car.

Checking in was not a problem to begin with. None of housekeeping spoke English. There were piles of towels in the hallway and loads of people standing outside the front entrance of the hotel, smoking..Not so much attractive in front of the entrance when there are those who do not smoke. Next, parking is $32/day which is a bit much depending on your stay - then there are parking lots for $20/but you will have to pay every time you come and go. I was told I could pay from valet in cash - but my card still ended up getting charged, I have called since Checkout, left voicemails, keep getting told that the manager isn't there an to call back. Well, here we are still going on almost a week and have not received a phone call in regard to my issue nor a receipt for my stay which I have asked for since my checkout was at 2am. On the upside, you are walking distance to many great spots an the streetcar is right in front of the hotel.

We were there for 6 days. I looked at the reviews before I decided to put my credit card on this hotel. The reviews were ok, but alot of them were about there not being enough staff to staff the hotel. I thought bc those reviews were months ago, that it would be better staffed by now. Again, This hotel is indeed beautiful inside out. First, I contacted the hotel to inform them of our late arrival bc the airline changed our flight times. I sent emails to both booking.com & The Jung Hotel 2 days before we were to arrive, so there would not be any issues. Because the arrival time was close to 12 midnight. I was assured there would not be any issues bc there is a 24 hr front desk. Well, they first gave our suite away, then she acted like it was NOTHING she can do except to put us in a too small room for 4 ppl. Only gave us 3 Key Cards. We were so tired and exhausted at this point we just dealt with what we were just given. The next day, we had to wait until after 5PM to get into another room which we missed a whole day of activities bc of this, and the room was worse than the room we had. And it was smaller. I cant make this up. I had to call back down to the desk to ask for housekeeping to return and make the beds up bc there were marks all over the sheets and hair, was in between the sheets. There was jewelry that was left from another guest, on the side of the bed, which proves they do not clean too well. There was a dust-bunny with hair in it, stuck on the walls and floors. I have pictures & videos....UGH....I have also reached out to the hotel as well. Noone responded from the hotel and I have pics & videos. LOL The front desk Staff: The front desk staff were always great and responsive but they just need more direction and knowledgable staff. Housekeeping: None of them speak english. (at least none of the ladies we tried to communicate with) The seating areas, the Lobby bar, the coffee shop, the bar at the pool & the pool were all beautiful spaces to be in. However, there's not enough staff to staff and sanitize these areas. I saw toe clippings in one of the seating areas that was there for days, at least 2 days. YUCKKK!!! I have pics of that too. Like the bars: The bar in the lobby was always without a bartender bc they didnt have a bartender scheduled. The bar at the pool, same issue. Which was so unfortunate that noone is staffing it and its an amazing space with alot of seats and tables and with huge TV's. The coffee shop: Food was great, only issue: there's only 1 person staffing it so it will take a little longer to get your order but at least its hot when you get it. The Elevators: Kept getting stuck. The Pool: Again, need more staff to be available for cleaning and maintaining. I went to the front desk asking for someone to skim the top of the pool bc there were dead bugs an debris floating in it. I saw and heard her call for them to come to the pool. Noone ever came on either of the days. I have way more to say, but I will leave it alone. Hope this helps!

The room was large and spacious and the facilities within it, excellent. The staff were very helpful. Just on the opposite side of Canal street to the French Quarter but as it was perhaps a 10 min walk into the heart of the French Quarter while it was easy to get there you avoided the noise of it when you were trying to sleep! We would stay here again when visiting New Orleans. As it was just coming out of Covid19, the restaurant wasn't open. The coffee shop for breakfast was fine but as it was also open to walk-ins from the street it sometimes had a queue which wasted time as a guest.

I booked this hotel for a conference I was attending at the Sheraton, for cost and convenience. It was excellent value for money - I was upgraded to a much better room. It is close to everything in New Orleans and very close to the tram if you want to go further afield without walking. The Jung is unfortunately suffering post COVID staff shortages - as a result some of the things were closed - such as the pool. We did not get the room serviced over the week we were there but we were able to get everything we needed from reception - Melissa seemed to be there just about 24 hours a day - she was amazing and was able to help with any enquiry. With so few staff I am amazed that they achieved what they did.

Staff could perhaps benefit from some more training as took ages to check in and not the most helpful. Not sure what the negative reviews are all about as we did not experience any problems with ‘residents’. Good location at the top of Canal street.

My husband and I stayed at the Jung Hotel for three nights. Our flight was canceled, rebooked and delayed, meaning we got into the hotel around 1am. The first impression of the hotel was poor. The check in was slow and we got held up because the woman at the desk said our credit card wasn’t good. Well, it was and after several ‘tries’ to run it, she realized the room had already been paid for., and the problem was ‘something else.’ Right from the start, we felt we weren’t’good enough’ for this hotel. The next morning, our toilet wouldn’t flush, and as we left the hotel, asked a different clerk to send someone to fix it. It wasn’t fixed by late afternoon, so I asked for the Managet. She assured me that all would be put right. Sure, someone came to plunge the toilet. My husband wasn’t feeling well, and was resting in bed when the Maintenance guy came. It was an empty, cold, place. No one in the lobby ever. A variety of ‘odd’ people hanging out by the side door (which was the main food). As people left each day, their sheets and towels were piled up in laundry bags) right between our door and the ice machine - for the whole day. The floor outside our room was never clean.

The rooms were really nice and the roof top pool was a great place to hang out. The rooms were large and set up nicely. Highly recommend giving it a try, and it is just a few blocks from the action! There is a trolley stop right outside the hotel so hopping on and off to get around was super easy.

Very basic hotel. Being a new hotel we noticed many faults in the room and at the end of our stay I noticed a few items of mine went missing . Even though they were safe in my room Very awkward layout and minimal things to do. No restaurant and no travel advice for things to do
