Rooms are big and well air conditioned, however the message I saw on the bathroom window this morning said it all ‘CLEAN ME PLEASE’.
The bedroom was very clean, however the bathroom could do with a proper clean to get rid of the spiders webs, ants & dust.
Wardrobe in the bathroom, I’ve vanity, open shower over some pebbles and a shower over the bath too.
Toilet with an Asian style ‘bum gun’ which would struggle to shoot the slowest moving object.
Nice balcony over looking to pool.
The pool was ok if you could get past the slick of sunscreen glistening in the mid-day sun.
Few loungers and a few broken. Towels available from the pool bar.
Most disappointing of all, the breakfast. Paying guests have a small corner where they can pick up coffee, powdered orange juice, cereal, toast, eggs, chicken sausage, fried tomatoes and cereal and then sit down with off the street paying guests who get to choose from a great a la carte breakfast menu.
I would have happily paid more than the walk in breakfast rate for it to be a part of the B&B package.
If you can book this place for AU$75 per night, in a deluxe room, you have a bargain.
We paid double that and we’re left wanting, there are much better options down the road glfor that price.
The hotel is in a quiet location in Padma Utara where the restaurant is located on the street. The reception at the back of the hotel is located only a short walk from Jalan Legian but far enough away from the noise of the busy traffic.
I noticed the gardens were overgrown and desperately needed weeding and grass mowed and was happy to see the gardening staff had returned to work on my second day and by the time I left the beautiful gardens were seen in all their glory.
My bungalow style room was quite large with a sofa, King size bed, television and fridge. My room was cleaned daily with fresh fluffy white towels and two bottles of water. The bathroom is a semi outdoor Balinese style. The bath and toilet is undercover. I enjoyed a couple of soaks in the large bath. There is a kettle to make tea or coffee but no complimentary tea, coffee or milk. I had brought my own from home so that was not too much of a problem. The pool is quite large with a wading area for children. There is plenty of sun lounges around the pool. I definitely recommend this hotel for those on a budget and families. No young people partying and keeping other guests awake at night. In fact I didn’t hear any noise after 10.30pm.
We will start with the manual check in. Allow 30 minutes if you have the time or 28 minutes if you seek the streamlined process. As we made our way to our rooms you can imagine the horror of seeing something wrapped in toilet paper and some tablet strips lying on the ground near the pathway. We pointed this out to the staff member tasked with showing us to our rooms however after 3 days of the "cleaning staff" walking over the offensive material and 2 repeated enquiries to the front desk it was finally removed. Be careful when negotiating the sites pathways they are an ankles worst nightmare and totally unsuitable for anyone with mobility issues. Unlocking and opening the front door was an experience but nothing a good shoulder charge wouldn't free. We arrived late at night and were too exhausted to have a good look around however, when the mornings sun blessed the space the horror came to light. The bathroom looked like it was last visited by a cleaner in the early 90's. The timber shelving above the sink featured old toothpaste staining. The bath looked like a biker had changed motor oil in it. The toilet surrounds were disgusting. Damaged carpentry, bodgy attempts to fix internal walls, gaps in the walls where you see daylight peeping in, stained tiles, unsafe power points and copious quantities of mould were not featured in the Three Brothers website. THEN we noted the bedding which was obviously not changed from the last guest booking. This was addressed as a matter of urgency.
Don't expect too much from the buffet breakfast. At $5, really what would you expect. Luckily there are a few decent breakfast dining options nearby which you can access after negotiating the "transport, bike-bike, shopping today, massage" and cheap hawkers.
Generally the establishment is filthy and well past its use by date even for the budget conscious traveler.
I know that this is a ‘budget hotel’ but at $120 per night I’d expect a bit more of an effort with cleaning. Oh, didn’t get towels for 2 days and they tried to check us out a day early.
Pool is good, apart from the tiles falling off.
I found the cleanliness of these rooms to being extremely bad with never ever any cleaning products used, we stayed here for two weeks and in that time our handbasin and toilet was never cleaned
The cleaner used a damp mop to clean through bedrooms bathrooms and veranda areas it was disgusting
After speaking with management about this his answer was they were trying to save money and they had new staff.
We had a missing remote to the tv which was not a big deal but it took two days to acquire one we had building and demolishing of new villas happening next door
I do realise building work has to go on for improvement but they should never have let the rooms out that were living next door
We had broken down hot water service for two days and after all this the air conditioner broke down. Linen and towels made me feel quite sick and had blood stains on the sheets
Breakfast was ok when you were able to get it it didn’t make any difference to the time you went to eat they either had no cutlery on the tables or no bred for toast or no glasses to get juice the list goes on and on
I found this accomodation to be my worst ever in all of my trips to Bali
I know things have been tough in Bali but cleanliness is an utmost for customer service
We are frequent visitors, this being a last minute booking most hotels were booked out. This hotel is in great location, however rooms are very dated, not well maintained or clean.
We had to request for the sheets to be changed, they wouldn’t supply hand towels or bath mats when requested. We were told they are only supplied in the villas.
The mattress and pillows were horrendous, this is the first time ever I can’t wait to get back home to my own bed.
Breakfast is basic which was fine, however at the end of the day we only want an egg on toast.
Staff were very friendly, the hotel is in a great location.
Overall we enjoyed our stay, but we wouldn’t stay here again as the bed situation of it being so hard didn’t suit us.
Unfortunately our outdoor shower was only cold water. Tried running it for a long time waiting for it to heat up but it never did. Spoke to reception staff who weren’t very concerned so I assumed that maybe it was supposed to be only cold water despite having the hot option. After chatting to other guests by the pool though I realised that everyone had hot water except us haha.
The pool area is great with towels provided, and the pool bar is very social, the food is good and the staff are friendly.
A buffet breakfast is available for $11.50AUD at the restaurant by the motel if you don’t have it included, really good selection here too.
The location of Three Brother’s is great with lots of shopping, laundry options, food, ATMs, money exchanges, etc around.
Very happy with the price of the accommodation also and would happily stay here again
