I recently had a very nice stay at this hotel. Hotel honoured the Marriott Gold benefits above my expectations, thank you. The pool facing room has a very nice balcony and I found the room to be modern. I was not too fond of the open bathroom concept in the room but all the other good things about this hotel outweighed my small dislike of the bathroom. The breakfast was very comprehensive and even included pizza and ice cream, many pastries and a large selection of hot dishes to suit all nationalities. Also barista coffee was included in the buffet, along with fruits, very happy with the breakfast. The pool area was very nice and relaxing with some good music playing. The music was not too loud and the service at the pool was also great. Thank you Wawan. The lobby is nice and the hallways to the rooms are nice. I was also impressed to see the cleaning trolleys had all the cleaning cloths for different purposes in separate bags on the cleaning trolley. The room cleaners also all wore hairnets and masks which was good. I always clean any hotel room when I arrive with wet wipes in about 30 different spots in a room. The Stones is only one of a few hotels where my wet wipe was still clean after wiping everything down. Well done room cleaning crews. The location of the hotel is close to where Kuta beach becomes Legian Beach and is close to hotels, restaurants and spa's. Service was excellent from ALL staff that I had anything to do with at the hotel, I was impressed with this.

A really Lovely hotel in a great location, right on the beach and close to everything or short walking distance to the hustle and bussle,
The hotel is set back from the roadway with a long entrance to ensure privacy, plus the added bonus of security gates and security check in which gave you great peace of mind, . The entrance area is spacious and inviting, clean and friendly staff all the time. From the entrance foyer the area opens up into a beautiful pool area., as seen in the photos, traditional live music playing gives it a great ambiance
The rooms are very spacious and comfortable we had a premier king room that included a balcony, sofa lounge and bathtub that overlooked the pool area. Room 459 King beds were very large beds comfortable and shower and separate toilet area, all amenities in the room you could want or need. Daily housekeeping and turn down was inc. room’s extremely clean
The breakfast buffet was amazing, honestly if you couldn’t find something there you liked you were not looking, fresh juice made to order, eggs anyways all presented so fresh nothing was too much trouble.
The inc were half price cocktails bw 12-6 at the poolside, and pool staff waiting to attend to you every wish, thr staff were amazing helpful friendly
Would definitely recommend this hotel as I was recommend to stay here by past guests and was extremely happy with my choice of hotels and locations

WoW! The best promo stay with only $40 nett or IDR 550K in one of the Marriott 5 star hotels “The Stones Legian” with breakfast included for 2 persons and we were upgraded to a beautiful Deluxe Room Pool View with the bathtub at the balcony.
One of the most beautiful hotel we have visited. This was probably the 4th visit in this hotel. We had a great stay and a wonderful time at the pool.
The cleanliness is good. The hotel itself I can say is truly magnificent and it’s like a hidden gem in Legian Bali. Beautiful hotel and the pool is huge with clear water.
We don’t need to worry much as it’s still in the pandemic condition, but this hotel strictly complies the rules and has also the highest standard. It wasn't crowded, people and staffs were using mask, and observe social distancing.
The staff friendliness made us feel special. Very attentive and they always smiling and greeted our name. Special thanks to Erta & Siwi at Reception and Eri & Sutiani at Restaurant.
I highly recommend this hotel and you won’t regret. We will comeback again for sure.

Recently stayed for 12 nights and we were really disappointed in the quality of the hotel. It was no where near a 4.5 star hotel more like a 3.5 star. The rooms were really small outdated and generally in a poor condition. First thing you see when you open your door is the toilet and shower and the shower door opens inwards. All of the tapware needs replacing and the whole room is a big letdown. The hotel loby is also about 300m up a lo g vacant driveway so the property isn't really beach front. The 1 saving grace was the staff who were excellent and very friendly

Wow, what an amazing hotel - well placed in Legian between the hustles of Kuta and Legian, just across the road from the beach.
Rooms are very clean and modern, not typically Balinese in that they lack an abundance of cane furniture but well equipped. Restaurant is quality, great breakfast buffet. Poolside drinks and food efficiently served with a smile from the many attendants.
If you’re staying more than a few days, recommending paying a little more for a balcony. Worth it for the extra space, seating and bathtub. Paying to include the breakfast buffet is also highly recommended.
All in all, an amazing hotel and well worth making your ‘temporary’ home away from home next time you’re in Bali.

This hotel is old and rundown. The rooms need an urgent makeover and they are very small and ill equipped. We were told that this hotel was a 4.5 star hotel, i would rate it no higher than 3.5 star because of the rooms. The pool area was ok and the staff were very friendly and helpfull but the hotel itself was a letdown. To get to the hotel you had to walk 350metres up a driveway that is like a wasteland so the hotel is not really beachfront and the whole thing needs a massive makeover. Breakfast was very repetitive and they served beef bacon whatever that is. We paid to upgrade to a poolview room simply to get a balcony as our superior room was so small and not so superior

Dear V9665ZUcraigh, Thank you very much for the review from your recent visit. First of all allow me to apologize for the inconvenience that you experience while residing with us. It is certainly never our intent to disappoint any of our guest. I'm able to share with you that we will be starting our room refurbishment soon and we believe this enhancement will definitely elevate our guest experience. Unfortunately the 350 meters up the driveway is not managed by Marriott International though belongs to the same owner of the hotel. We will continue to advise all party related on the elevation of this area. Once again, thank you very much for your feed back and we hope to welcome you again in the future. Stayed here with family and celebrated my mother's birthday there.
Prior to our stay at The Stones, I emailed the guest services team to recommend activities, restaurants, and arrange transport during our stay. To name a few, Surya, Gayatri, and Benny were really helpful and patient, and I truly appreciated it.
We booked two rooms, with my parent's room upgraded to a suite - thank you Dwi for upgrading them! The rooms were really comfortable and each came with a bathtub at the balcony overlooking the vast clear blue skies. The bathtubs were well shaded by the palm trees which provided maximum privacy on top of the curtains when drawn.
The hotel had also surprised my mother with a birthday cake during breakfast. I loved how they were secretly watching and waiting for her to return to the table to surprise her. She definitely enjoyed that.
We had drivers from The Stones bring us around Bali, and all of them were really helpful and friendly, Panji, Ben, and Agus, to name a few - thank you!
Overall, a relaxing and comfortable stay, and the staff were really attentive. Thank you for making the stay a comfortable one! :)

We stayed for 5 nights in 2x pool view rooms. I was apprehensive as I've generally found larger hotels in Bali to be very impersonal however from the moment we arrived until we checked out, our experience at The Stones was exceptional.
The staff were all so friendly and professional. They were willing to go out of their way to help us at every chance. For example, offered interconnecting rooms so we could be together despite having 2 separate bookings, remembering & greeting us by name or on the night when our taxis kept cancelling, they booked one for us and kept following up with the company until they arrived. Absolutely every member of staff we saw always had a smile and could not fault a single one. The level of service at The Stones far exceeded my expectations and was the high light of our stay.
The pool is huge and pool side service was fantastic, especially loved the 6 hour happy hour for cocktails and mocktails. The rooms were basic but spacious and with decent storage. Beds were comfy & showers had good water pressure.
I am generally very critical of buffet breakfasts however the one at The Stones did not disappoint. The menu did not change much day to day however with so much variety and options this was not an issue. Eggs, juice, waffle/pancakes as well as nasi & mie goreng were all cooked fresh. The coffees were great.
Location was also great, right across the beach and easy walking distance to both the heart of Kuta and Legian. Lots of shops, restaurants and day spas in easy walking distance.
Overall, we couldn't have been happier with our stay and would not hesitate to stay again.

The Stone Legian is the perfect place to stay if you want to be right in the middle of Kuta! We were here to shoot content for the marketing team and had the chance to see the Autograph Suite with a private pool on the rooftop! This suite would be perfect for honeymooners, especially with the outdoor bathtub on the balcony.
We had the luxury to view the Presidential Suite as well, which was only available to the public recently. It was a breathtaking two-story suite with a rooftop pool and helipad!
Overall, I think The Stone Legian is very well priced, and the main pool is not something you’d want to miss out on!

Where to start with the Stones Hotel. Firstly, the positives - stunning pool, exceptionally helpful reception, even better breakfast staff, food in general was of a high standard especially the steak. Location was good if you want to be close to Kuta, but have to say Seminyak seemed far more my scene on reflection!
Now the negatives, this is constructive criticism as we spent a week there and I genuinely loved some of the workers I had the pleasure of dealing with!! Lovely, beauty and caring staff!!
So, the rooms are dated, the flooring needs to be replaced as it sucks up far to much moisture, I'd come back to the room and floor would be soaking wet and have a fishy smell to it every day - not good!! the pillows for the bed were almost rock hard (not good at all) there is no bacon or pork in this hotel (90% of the clientele would appear to be Australian, I don't think they would be to happy with this) The justification was that the owner didn't like bacon or pork. Please. I would not feed my cat that makim which frankly looked grotesque. But the most infuriating part of the stay was being hounded and chased down relentlessly for your room number after every single thing you ordered like you are about to do a runner!! In every five star hotel I've stayed at, you pay for your room and then expenses at checkout. All of these problems could be rectified quite easily, with the exception of the flooring.
Finally the happy hour situation that didn't include Bintang and offered an array of cocktails with spirits I had never heard of. For a five star hotel these cocktails should atleast contain well known brands. Bacardi or Havana in the rum cocktails, Smirnoff or Sky or something similar for the vodka cocktails...to your clientale these are basic and acceptable not premium but good enough, not Blanco!!!!
The Stones Hotel is a four star hotel that could easily be a five star hotel with a bit of a makeover and change in policy. It would be good to see it attract a more diverse range on nationalities!
