Extremely warm, or even hot, as the sweat was rolling off me, as we tried to sign in for our hotel, The One Legian, Jalan Raya Legian #117. Our rooms were not ready and we sat in the lobby for half an hour waiting. Fortunately for our friend with a motorized scooter they had a ramp coming in to the second floor lobby and they had an elevator (4th floor dining, 3rd floor pool and our rooms on 1st floor). Glad to see we had AC. Room was extremely Spartan. No closets or tables or counters to put stuff on. Only a small corner desk and chair with lamp and electrical outlets. Room had an in-room safe and refrigerator. Charged us for the full five nights stay when we checked in. Would not allow us to charge bar or dining to our room without additional monies charged to credit card in advance. Music, at the rooftop pool and bar, was extremely loud and the choice of lyrics very distasteful with lots of obscenities. For the price we had a very good room, although we are used to more amenities.

The ONE Legian is also built with its unique concept to match with surrounding area but would still deliver it luxury with the excellent services from the staff. Was a one-derful stay at The One Legian. The One Legian was everything I expected and even more. High appreciation to Bapak Eka Pertama the GM and the management that have meticulously applied the CHSE standard of New normal. I love the minimalist yet elegant design of the hotel. The room was spotless, comfortable, a peaceful atmosphere. Unexpectedly, got immersed in the secluded-serene of the Sky pool while witnessing eye-pleasant surroundings is one of my favorite activities during my stay. The Sundeck Bar is also a great feature with a marina tone where Bapak Merta was so kindly offered us a range of delectable treats and meals. Not the least all the staffs were very welcoming during my stay and attention to every detail. The strategic location of The One Legian is a vantage point, in the center of the place yet secluded, a walking distance to Kuta Beach. Definitely one of the best lifestyle hotels in the middle of a popular place in Bali. Definitely, recommended to be placed at everyone’s staycation list.

This was a boys week away to Bali for rest and relaxation. We decided to stay at a hotel that offered some niceties but at an affordable price. Well, it didn't disappoint! The rooms were clean, tidy and spacious with it's own fridge, TV and safe. Downstairs there are facilities such as a pool and gym, while on the top floor, there was the breakfast restaurant, pool area and a superb view of the city. It is situated close to many other sights, as well as restaurants, shops and bars. This hotel also offered security at the front door so as to make you feel a little safer.

The room is small as hell, there is no ventilation.
Not clear about which rooms have balconies and which don't.
the curtains in the toilet are basically useless because the whole room gets wet after a shower.
The staff got annoyed with our requests for towels and tissues (and we're suspicious of why we needed them).
Would only recommend if you're drunk as f*** and want to recover from a hangover.

We asked for 1 extra blanket on 3 separate occasions and were told the hotel cannot provide any extra blankets. The pool towels were always all gone & when we asked for more they said they don’t keep them onsite & we will order some more but they don’t turn up. Breakfast was average at best, the person running the omelette station runs out of mushroom and tomato but doesn’t fill it up until you ask for them, then they need to wander off to get more, no organisation or planning anywhere at the hotel. The pool area is falling apart with rotting wooden boards and you have to pay cash for a drink at the pool cos they won’t allow you to charge it back to your room. I’ve been to Bali 8 times and love it, but would not recommend the “One” to anybody unless you enjoy being disappointed. Plusses …. The location is handy to everything.

The room we had ( pool access room on 3rd floor ) made it impossible to sleep because of the extremely loud music that was non stop on most days, we had to request to be moved after only 2 days, management moved us without any issues. The breakfast options were very limited if you preferred western foods therefore we chose to eat breakfast elsewhere most days. Food options in the restaurant on site was expensive and very small serves compared to every other place we had lunch or dinner, won’t be able to recommend The One as a place to stay if you prefer a quiet hotel.

Stayed here in December. Had a load of laundry washed, pricing not explained when the room service guy collected it. Laundry returned clean later that day, with a bill of nearly $100 australian dollars!!! We requested to see the manager who after a substantial amount of debating lowered the price to just under $70. Absolutely would not stay here again with this kind of pricing!!! Laundry gets washed elsewhere for $1 per kg. We weighed our washing and it was just shy of 6kg. Very disappointing.

We regret to hear that your recent stay with us did not match your expectations, due to the fact that the price for the laundry service was higher than expected. We have checked with the related manager about your case and have been informed that you signed the laundry form before our employee collects it along with the laundry. It is also clear that the laundry form has the price for every cloth, prices based on per piece and the total will depend on how many you put the cloth. Therefore, the total numbers can be assumed as the price per piece. Mr. Benjamin, we want to apologize if the service provided by the hotel did not meet your expectations. However, our manager has given a 30% discount, hopefully, it can be well received, that is part of our goodwill. Even so, we will still make this a constructive input for our laundry service. During my holiday in kuta i always stay at the one legian. It is always be a perfect stay , the front desk staff is very helpfull and friendly ,they give me a warm welcome upon check in. I know that period was high season and many guest do checked in ,in my eyes i saw the front desk team are always give the best service to the guest. I think only in this hotel has best service by the receptionist than 5 star hotel , cause when i stay in 5 star hotel they were not treat same as the one legian treat me :)
Did you know guys how they are take care their guest? The front desk and restaurant team did a collaboration to surprised me with a cake on my birthday in the restaurant even if my friend and i never requested before. Thanks for made my day very special. In my birthday when i went to massage in the spa they are give me a discount for the treatment the spa is very nice , wow.
Thank you also for room attendant to keep my room always clean and tidy, all the maintenance is always very good since my first stay a year ago. And you must be visit The Deck And also try how fun the sky pool party is

Active mould growing in the room posing a health risk.
Hotel said cleaners were too busy to clean the room.
We cancelled after 1 night and booked another hotel l.
Breakfast was very lacklustre and staff would not greet anyone I said hello so many times just to be ignored.

It depends on what building you’re in and possibly what floor. I’d just ask upfront to put you in the more kid-friendly, less noisy building maybe away from the pools and bars.
Hi. This month I paid 300,000 rupiah to keep room until 7pm. They will also look after your luggage until you are ready to leave. A Blue Bird taxi cost 45,000 rupiah only from there to the airport so make sure you tip the driver as they use the meter not rip you off like the other taxi companies.

Yes Visa cards are widely accepted (I only used credit but debit should be the same) if you get a good international rate from your bank. My recommendation is bring some cash and exchange there in the city or use the ATMs which are littrally in every corner as well as the currency exchange kiosks . Just be aware of the people who’d ask for money around ATMs.
