To be honest my husband and I were quite hesitant about staying at another Ibis in Bali following on from the Ibis Kuta in a previous review I have posted on Tripadviser today, and I must say were pleasantly surprised with this hotel.
The staff were friendly and welcoming throughout the stay of 4 nights. The hotel is clean and tidy, the daily servicing of the rooms was as should be expected from an Accor chain although there was one day our towels were taken from the room and not replenished until requested but this was done quickly so not an issue to be honest.
The breakfast was adequate for the pricing. The bar menu/room service to order from was quite nice and well priced so we did try a few things and were happy with that side of things.
The pool area is nice, I think if the hotel was busier we may not have used it much as it is small so maybe not ideal in peak season but for us it suited. The view was a nice change overlooking the area and across to the beach.
The room was tidy, well lit and air conditioning worked well, water replenished daily and had a working mini fridge. Block out curtains and we didn't hear any road noise which was a pleasant surprise as in the lobby the street is very busy and very noisey.
One critique is that they did have fogging done for mosquitoes which we were not made aware about until we returned to our floor and room - this was an issue for me as I have allergies and broke out in very bad hives requiring to take prednisone and extra antihistamines. It was unpleasant for me but also for other guests when I used the pool seeing that I had red welts over my body from the reaction to the fogging; I assured that it was an allergic reaction and nothing contagious but it was a bit embarrassing and I did feel uncomfortable, plus the extra money spent on the extra medications.
Check-in and check-out process was easy. As an Accor member I did ask if the money spent on food and drinks would be included in my points but they weren't, it was only for the accommodation so I'm not sure if I was misinformed or if the points we forgotten about.
Staff we helpful and mostly smiling, always greeting you.
The location is great if you want to get a bit of shopping in and have a look around on foot.
Not a bad place to stay if you're looking to be quite active throughout the day and come back to a clean hotel room with a comfortable bed.

I have stayed twice and unfortunately my first visit was not impressive.

They had lock problem with all rooms. Staff had to walk me to my room to open the door using their master key. The room was ok but water pressure in the bathroom was very weak.

Second visit was good. I asked for mu room to be located on lower level and shower was good with strong water pressure.

Overall this hotel offering convenience location in Legian and close to Kuta beach as well.

Staff were good and welcoming. Fast checked in and out.

Please aware they will ask for Rp300,000 as security bond. Can be by cash or credit card.

Highly recommended if you want to stay at medium price range hotel and doesn’t need a big room.

Note: this review is for my stay in Feb 2019.

I stayed in Seminyak for a few days at another hotel but when I came to the Ibis for the last night of my stay, wished I had come here earlier. The location, friendliness of the staff and quietness of the room was what sealed my decision.

The Ibis is actually straddling the borders of Seminyak and Legian. It’s on a busy street that’s accessible to some of Seminyak’s best boutiques but requires a bit of a walk or a moped rental. I mostly took Grab or Blue Bird to go around the Seminyak area.

During my reservation, I had requested for an upper floor room away from the elevator and the staff took note of this. Was placed in room 306, which extremely quiet and comfortable. After a hectic day shopping, I mostly recuperated in the room with some delicious treats from Monsieur Spoon while watching TV. The toilet was small but clean, so had no issues there.

The lobby of the hotel is a great place to people watch and also serves as a bar/lounge. I had ordered a late lunch from Grab and the staff allowed me to eat it there (of course I purchased a drink from the restaurant as well).

Great stay and will return here when I visit Seminyak again!

The hotel itself is falling apart. The owner really needs to put some money into fixing this place. The bathroom was so disgusting and the smell from the drain was making me ill. Even with daily cleaning and the door closed, I had to keep spraying my room. My mums water stopped working several times during our stay. The power went out a few times, the air conditioning kept changing on its own and the kettle in my room was so badly damaged, it was literally falling apart, chunks of the plastic were breaking off into the water, these types of plastic can be harmful and carcinogenic. I ended up buying a kettle as the one in my mum's room was also bad and from previous reviews this is a common issue.

Some other things to consider, when I booked it said there was a restaurant, bar, and pool bar. this isn't the case. There's an old seating area on the roof which might have been a bar once upon a Time but it's been closed down and there's signs saying no alcohol in the pool area, there's no bar in this hotel unless you want fruit juice and you can get breakfast in the morning but there's no restaurant, even room service is limited as many items were not available while we stayed here.

The staff and location however are the best thing about this hotel. I wish I could give it 5 stars just because of how lovely the staff are, but the hotel is old and out dated and I feel that if the owner took the time and money to update their hotel it would benefit it greatly as the staff here are just amazingly kind and wonderful people. Please consider these upgrades, your hotel has so much potential and the staff are carrying it and they are the main reason people want to come back.

We were in a bit of a pinch when our booked villa cancelled and we needed a place to stay but honestly if you can stay somewhere nicer spend the extra cause this... was not the one. the pool chairs didn't have cushions, the lights didn't work, the pool lights were rusty, the key cards for the doors didn't work, when we tried to get room service half the menu was unavailable, not even the pizzas were available! The staff knock on your door to clean at 7am and wake you up, the doors are thin so you can hear everyone in the hotel at all times and the tour place out the front doesn't have any bloody pamphlets. Boo! Boo this place, go stay at the Grand Inna it's so much better

I was really disappointed with this hotel. The reception are more concerned about paperwork, photocopying documents and demanding pre auths on your bank card. Even if you do not wish to charge back to your bedroom with extras. Was informed this is not optional, a deposit from every guests is required on check in. It would have been nice to be informed before hand. Not on hotels.com policy’s. It’s a shame the reception are not more friendly or welcoming. Not given any information on check in. Breakfast times? Directions to bedrooms? Nothing, not even enjoy your stay.

The bedrooms are actually ok, but you can hearing every-time someone arrives back at night. So don’t expect a great sleep. On a plus note the Housekeeping girls where lovely and looked they they worked hard. They are the reason for the 2stars, as I nearly give just 1star.

Breakfast is well, let’s be nice. Average at breakfast. See pictures.

Dear acarse903010, Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience at our hotel. On the other hand we want to extend our sincerest apologies concerning all the issues that you have faced during your stay, and even more sorry to disappoint a guest. Although we would like to respond on the few points that you have mentioned. It was not that we are more concerned with paperwork, but it is what we should do as a requirement for us to be able to check you in according to the local laws - failure to do so will not only effect us but also you as our guest. The requirement of a Security Deposit either in Cash or Pre-Authorization is inline with the practice of most reputable hotel and it was informed to you during check in by our Front Office Manager. It is also clearly stated on Hotels.com information section "At A Glance - Required at check in : Credit Card, Debit Card or Cash deposit required for incidental charges" of our pages. We are sorry to hear that our Front Office Manager was deemed not friendly and not welcoming simply due to the fact that he asked for a Security Deposit, but we can assure you that it was not the case since there was simply no reason for us to be unfriendly and unwelcoming towards our valued guest. We are usually known for our great customer service and attention to detail in everything that we do. Being in the Hospitality line we strive to provide a superior service experience for every customer, therefore we take your feedback very seriously. Thank you for sharing your experience and we hope to see you again on your next visit here. Kind regards, Lia Rorimpandey

Standards feel like they have fallen a bit, putting the iBis Styles nearby as a clear favorite when deciding between Accor options in the Legian region. Which is disappointing because the hotel had been a solid, no-fuss place to stay with nice people. Arrived with dirt on both the sheets and cover for the bed, am am grateful they took care of fixing that quickly. Disappointing that the roof pool was closed. But more important, the Wifi has been down for a few hours, which is very difficult in a place like Bali where so many people are doing some work remotely. In a cafe nearby and have to think about a backup plan and possibly paying for a second hotel tonight for a meeting. Asked for a refund since there has been no progress on the Wifi being fixed for hours but they were unable to accommodate that request. Will choose iBis Styles nearby for remaining nights in Bali.

The location of the hotel is close to 66 beach at a price that is as expected. Near the hotel there are also many places selling food and accessories, so we don't need a vehicle to walk around. The room is big with a unique toilet. The service provided is also very friendly and fast. When checking in we met Suki the Hotel Manager, He was very friendly, and also responsive, well done Suki & Team. Thank you for making our stay enjoyable.

I stayed almost 5 days here...
Sorry in advance but I was quite disappointed during my stay at this hotel
- Very slow WiFi (intended to work in a hotel but had difficulty finally deciding to use mobile data)
- some GRs are not friendly (only the guys are friendly)
- There was no initiative to help lift things even though my wife was carrying the child and I happened to not be there at that time
- The electric kettle is rusty and smelly (has been replaced but still smells) This kettle is no longer suitable because it's made of plastic but it's still being used... whether I want it or not, I'm still using it because I have to make my child's milk
- a dispenser that was never cleaned (every time you took the dispenser there would be white fibers) in the end we decided to bring water from outside because once again this water was not suitable for making milk for our baby (a rusty flask + a dirty dispenser was an extraordinary combination)
- there is a lizard in the room

But it's unfair to only judge from the minuses, there are pluses
- delicious food
- response is quite fast
-Cold AC
- nice swimming pool

Indeed, this is a 3 star hotel, but it would be good if maintenance was carried out, this is like an outdated hotel, and remember that customer centricity, service friendliness and initiative must be improved.

As a platinum member there is no satisfaction at this hotel

That's all, sorry, thank you

It’s at 480 not 456! And when you get there you’ll be disappointed.

The girls in the apartment building at 456 just giggled and pointed me in the right direction. I’m an Accor Gold member and used the app with my confirmed booking to get to the hotel and the address is wrong in the app and on maps etc… on arrival having dragged my luggage down the street I pointed this out to reception who claimed that no one else had ever mentioned this. Has to be a lie!

Room was dark and dingy. The lighting is awful and as someone that works whilst they travel this was not going to suit.

So I went up to roof top pool and bar area. No bar it’s all packed up. No cushions. No staff. Miserable place and despite the hotel being almost full (apparently) it didn’t look like they had bothered to reopen it after covid. A big corporation taking your cash and not delivering.

I demanded a refund and checked out after 1 hour. Don’t bother.

Are you a accor member?? If not you should sign up as that’s mostly the best price offer on the web. I do not think that the hotel/ GM is able to give you a discount. Stay longer and your chances will probably increase. Best to direct your message to accor customer service, guess that might be the best chance to get a better deal ;)) good luck pal !!

Good day Ms Livie, We do not have any specific kids area. But we do have pool kids. Our breakfast daily start at 6am. You may want to inform our Front Office team as well that you wish to have the breakfast sharp at 6am. We will be happy to also prepare it in advance.
