We are so grateful to Maca Villas management for accommodating us at such short notice. They even upgraded us to a two bedroom villa as a bonus. A shuttle is available, three times daily, to Seminyak Square. A return taxi (preferably Bluebird) can be hired for approx $5 Aus. It is located in a quiet, peaceful area, so sleeping is not affected by loud, dance club music. The private pool was perfect for an early morning swim or as part of the recovery process from a hard day's shopping or sight seeing. The room itself was quite spacious, with a comfortable bed, good quality bed linen and plenty of storage space. The separate kitchenette, lounge and dining area was a great place to relax. Extra drinking water was available with a phone call to the butler service. The housekeeping service was of a high standard. The only negative was our bathroom, which could use a new bench and attention to the wall paint. Both basin taps were quite loose. Special thanks go to Manager Muliani and Yoga and Deva in dining. Also Ludhe in reception, who helped us greatly with a restaurant booking.

We booked a Maca Umalas Private Pool package for 7 nights and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was very comfortable and clean, although my daughter found the bed a little too firm for her liking. We loved that we could open up the whole bedroom and lounge area for indoor/outdoor living and the pool was wonderful for cooling off. Our room was kept very well supplied and the breakfast menu was excellent with lots of nice choices. Evening meals too were generally very good, with a few inconsistencies depending upon which Chef was on duty! We had a great Market Visit and Cooking Class with Chef Gusde, it was a lot of fun and the results were delicious. The Spa is off site and can take up to half an hour to reach depending upon traffic. I enjoyed the transfers but some may find that taxing. The massages were great. All the staff we encountered were delightful and extremely helpful, nothing was too much bother and they were keen to ensure we enjoyed our stay. Deva, Yoga and Tika especially brightened up our days :) There were a few local stores within walking distance although the traffic and an abundance of wandering dogs was a little off putting. Our only complaint would be that the pool pump was VERY noisy and that made relaxing on the lounger by the pool a bit difficult when it was running. Keep an eye on the river from the restaurant, you may see one of the huge water monitor lizards that regularly cruise up and down!

Stayed 5days at Maca Villas and Residence Umalas October 2024. The pictures online are true, its beautiful. Such a gorgeous, peaceful & relaxing villa. So much space, its luxurious. Has Everything you need for your stay & more. Huge comfy bed & pillows. Deep soaking bath fits 2. Great wifi. Its the little things that also matter- plenty of stocked toilet paper, bottle opener, 4 bottles of water each day,icy cold fridge, great air-conditioning, mozzie coils & plug ins. The pool & double sunbed was perfect just the right amount of sun each day. We included the continental breakfast, so much to choose & so delicious, great coffee too. All the staff were amazing, With their beautiful smiles took time to chat & truly made everything perfect & so very special 🥰 always available but never intrude. A big shout out to the gardeners, who probably never get the credit they deserve. Lovely, maintained gardens 🌺 loved the signage on the plants & trees🌴 Shuttle to Seminyak multiple times a day, its a very luxurious car. 24hr security. Highly recommended. We have stayed here before & looking forward to staying again ❤

This is the second time I have stayed at Macca Villas Umalas. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good as our first experience, however many things remained the same.
Pros Friendly helpful staff. Good breakfast menu (execution on western dishes wasn’t great). Coffee at breakfast was exceptional (thank you to Yoga). Daily room cleaning and restocking. Good complementary items (tooth brush, tooth paste, razor, shaving cream, robes etc). 24hr room service, very reasonably priced. Shuttle bus to Seminyak. Car to Macca spa in Seminyak as organised. Great bath in our villa. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning. Staff always collected and dropped off any deliveries.
Cons Room service meal weren’t very tasty. Towels were dated, could use replacing. Rooms were also slightly dated could use an update especially the decks in the rooms. Gaps under and between French folding doors allow easy access for mosquitoes.
In general great staff, nice villa, decent location with a few small improvements required.

Stayed as part of a luxury escapes package for 6 days. Had a one bedroom pool villa with a lounge which could be completely open if you wanted , with a bedroom and ensuite bathroom with a bath. The pool was a decent size and the villa it’s self while 10 or so years old has been well maintained. The area is quiet and made for a really relaxing stay. The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble and there is a restaurant on site for breakfast lunch and dinner which you can have there or get it delivered to your villa as well as a resort pool large enough to swim laps. They have a spa in Seminyak as well as another Villa complex which you can access and they transport you to and from plus one way shuttles to Seminyak. Plenty of restaurants a very short cab ride away and some mini marts etc less than 200 metres away. We would stay again plus they also have 2/3/and 4 bedroom villa’s available. Once again thanks to Yogi , Deva and Sua to name just a few of the wonderful staff there.

We spent 8 nights here the last part of our month in Bali . The Villa was very modern with large bathroom with a great shower very comfortable bed & nice sitting area with a pool. The restaurant served a large range of different breakfasts & tasty dinners. But just like in our last two locations the thing that made our stay wonderful was the staff, again nothing was too much trouble & everyone was very helpful & friendly. A brilliant place.

Been coming to Bali annually for a decade and this is the best Villa we've stayed at. It's secluded and very quiet. The room is well-sized for a couple, and doesn't have the draft and unwelcoming feel of the standard villa in other places that' sized for families.
Even arriving close to midnight, we were able to get very good room service food. (Ribs for me.) and the staff are friendly and efficient.
The complementary breakfast was a cut above the standard villa fare. Everything was freshly prepared and the local Bali dishes really packed on the flavors. As good as any local dishes we've tried at restaurants.
Highly recommend for anyone who wants the quiet seclusion of a retreat but can drop into town for a busstle.

Last breakfast at this fabulous place with Luxury Escapes package, from the moment we were met at the airport everything has gone smoothly, staff are exceptionally welcoming and friendly. Any problems were addressed quickly. The villa pool is very private and welcoming the water temperature is perfect. Feel shuttle into Seminyak, the food in the restaurant is of high quality and the staff are amazing. We found all the staff from the front office, cleaning, gardening, maintenance, restaurant staff and chefs extremely friendly and efficient. Would highly recommend these Villas.

The moment you are picked up from the airport, you know you are going to have a relaxing time and be well looked after. The attention to detail from all of the staff, their kind nature and willingness to assist, made this the most enjoyable holiday ever. We felt comfortable with both the facilities, and with the staff in all aspects. We enjoyed going to the restaurant for our meals, rather than staying in the Villa. However, when we did ask for some drinks and one breakfast to be delivered to our Villa, it is not dropped off, but set out with the attention to detail, as if you are in the restaurant. We felt a connection with the staff from the beginning, that allowed you to relax immediately. Being taught some key words to say and how to pronounce them, was such a great help for the rest of the holiday, and made the interaction with everyone more enjoyable. We have recommended others to stay here, and we have already booked our next holiday at Maca Villa & Spa Umalas. The room was great, had all the facilities you needed, and the private pool was amazing, one of the best features of the Villa. I recommend the pool in the evening, the water temperature remains the same all day. The quantity and quality of the food, was a highlight...it was incredible. Our concern before we arrived was the food, this became one of the best features of our holiday and the least to worry about.

Excellent private pool, breakfast excellent. Easy to access seminyak. Super friendly staff and car to seminyak centre was good. Staff really showed they cared about your stay and offered to help with anything including trips and booking taxis to airport. Great stay 5 stars!!!

Selected spa treatments are available in the villa. Our therapist will visit you in the villa.
Some other treatments have to be done in the spa center at SOHAM Wellness Center.
Other than that, at SOHAM Wellness Center you will be able to use other facilities such as gym, a half Olympic swimming pool, steam, sauna, indoor hot and cold plunge pool.
We also provide a shuttle service from Umalas to SOHAM Wellness Center.
