Aura resort is one of the best finds in lonavala. The resort is very new and very neat and tidy. I visited the property with 3 of my friends and we took an executive room with a loft in it. The room with loft is so much fun made us remind of our hostel days. We had fun and made good memories. Lakkhanji in room service was very helpful with our order and bagchadji in housekeeping was also very friendly and corprative.

It is a very peaceful and beautiful place to relax amidst the mountains. Our experience was best during monsoons. The balcony view overlooks the fog covered mountains. Spacious and clean rooms, understanding staff. Ms. Ruby at the reception was very helpful. Mr. Amit, who was also a staff was very kind and helpful.

Meritas Aura is a great resort for family...the whole complex is beautifully maintained, with opportunity to relax on the lawns or have fun in the pool and children's park. The villa we stayed in was very clean, the bedrooms were big and well appointed and the beds large and extremely comfortable...and of course the plunge pool within the villa was a delight.. We were very happy to note that the food at the restaurant was tasty and well prepared, and buffet breakfast had variety as well as good presentation and good preparation. I had visited Meritas Adore and was pleased with the service there. I chose Meritas Aura based on that experience and because it was relatively new and the swimming pool had slides which was a usp as a father of a 4 year old. Starting with the good things, the staff was very polite and extremely helpful. The rooms and the overall hotel was extremely clean and well maintained. The bed in the room was one of the best beds I have come across in hotels of this range. The buffet breakfast and the ala carte lunch was good. On to the bad, the whole architecture of the resort is weird. Maybe, it is made for bigger families. One door opens to a common sitting area and 3 rooms inside (1 ground + 2 top). Frankly, the outside sitting area is a complete waste if you are not with a big family. Also, strangers walking or laughing outside your door, while going to their rooms, makes the whole experience weird. Any decent resort which charges around 7000 bucks for a room provides with basic facilities like a mini refrigerator and a tea/coffee kettle. Meritas Aura doesn't provide these bare minimum things. There was a sitting area outside our room which was surrounded by big walls on all sides and gave a claustrophobic experience. The same place has a pool in other rooms, but I was told that those rooms were part of a villa and only for big families and cost around 20000 bucks. (Though some reviews on this app are from small family enjoying in the plunge pool). The pool area doesn't have an attendant, but a tree cutting staff passing by me an my son, told me cotton tshirt was not allowed in the pool. The senior staff was courteous enough to let me be in the pool. Ironically, an hour later there was a family who was playing in the pool in cotton clothes and some boyd were seen the next day too. During the checkin, a huge container of welcome drink and glasses was visible, but no one really cared to offer it to us. Not a big deal, but these small things matter on the overall experience of a place. Next time I plan a mini vacation, i will prefer Meritas Adore over Meritas Aura.

My husband and I reached Meritas Aura at 9:45am. We know our check in was at 1:00pm. We requested Mr. Fernandes and Ruby at the reception for early check in as were there for one night only.
They assured us that they will try their best. Meanwhile we went for breakfast, which was really good.
They checked us in by 11:30am and we had a very good restful day at the resort.
Their housekeeping staff as well as dining staff were very courteous and attentive.
We are planning to go there again with our friends.

That was a wonderful experience with family. Calm and peaceful stay with yummy food. Property has limited but all required aminities such as pool, games, lawn, WiFi, large screen TV, etc. I suggest if they organise some events in weekends then nothing like that

The room itself was satisfactory, but unfortunately, the promised privacy of the Private Plunge Pool was non-existent. Not only were there rooms with direct views of the pool, but the addition of CCTV cameras for monitoring further detracted from any sense of seclusion. Moreover, the lack of temperature control meant the water was consistently too cold to enjoy comfortably.
Furthermore, while the hotel's cuisine and accommodations were commendable, there is room for enhancement in the recreational offerings. The inclusion of outdated games like carrom felt out of place compared to the overall quality of the establishment. Additionally, despite the competent operation of the hotel, the warmth and hospitality expected during reception were notably absent.
In conclusion, while there were aspects of the stay that met expectations, the issues regarding privacy, temperature control in the pools, and the outdated amenities suggest areas for improvement. Nevertheless, the hotel's overall performance remains satisfactory.
