The Canary Islands Resort & Spa is celebrated for its serene ambiance and picturesque setting, creating a surreal and inviting retreat. The resort's location garners admiration for its tranquility and stunning views. Guests frequently compliment the luxurious amenities, from the spacious rooms with impressive vistas to the diverse dining options and water activities. The modern and comfortable rooms are a highlight, although some guests point out size and accessibility concerns.
The cleanliness of the resort is another point of pride, with meticulous maintenance evident throughout. Service at the hotel is generally regarded as warm and attentive, though a few guests have experienced inconsistencies. While the resort is perceived as providing a premium experience that aligns with its pricing, some guests feel it is overpriced, particularly when maintenance issues arise.

Canary Islands Resort & Spa is a luxurious retreat nestled in the scenic hills of Lonavala. Known for its serene atmosphere and breathtaking views, this resort offers a perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
The rooms are small yet modern, featuring captivating views of the surrounding landscape.
The on-site restaurant serves a range of cuisines, ensuring that there is something for everyone
It boasts an array of amenities, including an infinity pool, water sports, and a world-class spa. The resort is family-friendly, with activities and facilities designed to entertain guests of all ages.
The service at the resort is excellent, However, I had a very bad experience where in I ordered Veg Hyderabadi biryani at Lunch and was served Chicken biryani. I and staff realised this when I had eaten half the bowl of biryani as the pieces were kept at the end of the serving bowl. To my dismay as it’s Ganapati festival I did not want to eat Non veg but this was a hard pill to swallow , the team only apologised and said we can bring veg biryani but the harm was already done . I left the restaurant with a sour experience and they even charged me for the same which showed that they did not regret the mistake as I did not create a scene or shout at them. I accepted their apology as there were other guests sitting in the restaurant and did not wish to ruin their experience
The resort is committed to maintaining a clean and well-kept property, with efforts to ensure sustainability and I still wonder the accessibility to rooms for guests who have walking problem or Knee problems as it’s steps and stony pathway leading to each rooms
Conclusion: Canary Islands Resort & Spa provides a fantastic experience with its serene location, luxurious amenities, and excellent service. Whether you’re looking for a family vacation or a peaceful getaway, this resort offers a memorable stay.

The Canary Island Resort and Spa is a hidden gem! The location is absolutely exquisite, with clouds cascading down the mountains, creating a picturesque and serene atmosphere. The property boasts a beautiful lake with a view that's truly to die for, making it a perfect destination for nature lovers.
The resort is quite large, and it's clear that a lot goes into maintaining such a vast and well-kept property. This reflects in the premium pricing, but honestly, it feels justified. When you're experiencing luxury at this level, you expect to pay a bit more, and it's worth every penny.
The food at the resort was exceptionally well-prepared, with a variety of delicious dishes that exceeded my expectations. The staff was equally impressive—polite, courteous, and always willing to go the extra mile. Everything about the service was top-notch, making my stay a memorable one.
I’ve noticed some older reviews expressing dissatisfaction, but it seems that might have been under previous management. My experience was nothing short of unique and wonderful, so it’s possible things have greatly improved. Whatever they’re doing now, they’re doing it right.
One of the highlights for me was the presence of white ducks around the property. Watching them roam around the island is incredibly calming. Their quirky antics—whether quacking or coming near you—add a whimsical charm to the whole experience. It’s these small touches that really make the resort stand out and offer something special for everyone.
In all, the Canary Island Resort and Spa provides a fantastic experience that’s hard to beat. Whether you’re there for the views, the food, or just to relax, you’ll leave feeling rejuvenated. Highly recommend!

A Day well spent @Canary Island
We came here to have Lunch they charge only 3k as a cover charge which was worth to spent. The ambience is breathtaking. The food is delicious which we couldn't resist. Would love to go for a stay visit soon. Also would like to add the welcoming of staff at reception feels heaven. Would like to mention few names Priyanka at reception, Rakesh who assisted us and Akshay who assured our Lunch and entire visit was smooth. I loved the ambience personally and the management staff who looked after us and made sure our visit goes as smooth and enjoyable as possible. I would recommend everybody to please visit this place, kuddos Canary Team❤️

Never ever go to this place in the rains and never take elderly people or people with disabilities here. The rains are unrelenting and one tends to get cooped into ones room and even stepping out for meals, let alone getting to activities, is difficult. The cottages are reached via steps and a lot of them and it is very difficult for elderly people to get to them. If a guest has disabilities, pretty much inaccessible to them.
Otherwise the place is lovely and the staff are extremely friendly and willing to help. the landscaping is beautiful and nestles in a lovely way in the amazing setting. The rooms are tastefully done, albeit a bit dark. but definitely worth going to and enjoying a great get away.
Please remember to carry bags of cash as the room service accepts only cash. so if you want to eat in room, and if you dont carry cash, you will starve. Strange.
The place is truly amazing and would urge all able bodied people to visit.
Though, not really an island, it feels like one and has a little manicured beach looking onto the lake, framed by misty mountains of the deccan is a feast for the soul

Dear Mr. Debashis, Thank you for sharing your frank feedback of your stay at our resort, however we would like to put forth few points of clarification to the respective readers of the review. Our resort is conceptualized on an island and is surrounded by water canvas all around however we have an emergency route being build at the back end of the resort to avoid hassle in case of any uncertainty. We do have facilities to do card payments in terms of availing any kind of room service, but due to a technical glitch on that particular stay date we couldn't process it and hence to ease the check-out procedures we had to ask the guests staying at the property to avail the cash payments, this issue was resolved in a day's time. We thank you for your compliment of our resort being an amazing place and would like to also inform that we are coming up with a new room category which would have arrangements & facilities for our guest who are specially abled or are senior citizens. Looking forward to host you back soon. Regards, Canary Islands, Lonavala.

We had stay in this resort for only 1 night, 3 hours drive from Mumbai, checked in at 3 PM, this is small resort, they take us by Boat to resort to make us feel like we are on island, it was good experience, room was nice, only one problem that all rooms are on hills so not advisable for infants and old age, there was play area in resort, but when we went there they said they have allotted to some people's conference, it was like we have not given money for our room ? and even they have not informed our travel agent about this.. we asked them how can they allot play area to some one or else they should have not taken our booking.. on this question Mr Ganesh told us they will compensate this with water sports, but at time of check out Miss Priyanka and Mr ganesh said they have informed our travel agent and they can not do anything about this, we asked our travel agent and he said if so ask resort to show email regarding same, we asked that and Miss priynaka said we can not show and i can not do anything about this and all this in rude way.. i suggest no one should book this resort for holiday as they do not have commitment and once you reach threre they will deny you everyting.. i feel like all money waste after their behaviour

Hello Mr. Bafna, We appreciate your effort of sharing your feedback however our records convey a different picture. As per the camera coverage & remarks put forth by our front desk managers, you have been absolutely rude & abusive to Ms Priyanka who was trying to convey you the terms of payments & was trying to understand & explain to you the issues faced during your stay. Regarding our games area not being available, this was already informed to the travel agent you were connected with, hence it was the fault of the travel agent who did not convey all the details to you while confirming the booking. We highly respect our women staff at the property & can never accept any unjust and foul behavior towards them and we would want that you too learn how to speak, behave & respect women. Infact we would appreciate if you apologise to Ms Priyanka. And regarding the same, our VP will be connecting with you soon over a call. Regards, Canary Islands, Lonavala.

Pros: Exceptional staff very friendly, proactive to the customers needs, beautiful scenic view. The white cranes, ducks were a perfect add on to the resort.
Cons:
First and foremost i won't rate this as a 5 star property in any way but 25k for a night is highly overpriced. We also had a celebratory package which cost us a whopping 18k which did not live up to the expectations. The cabanas we booked were prepared during the day due to which it wasn't rain resistant. The water kept dripping throughout the dinner. Paying such an amount u would definitely want variety in ur cuisine or at most a buffet but we just got one dish each for all courses . The breakfast buffet was awful we didn't have enough variety and it was underwhelming. We were charged close to 170 a bottle for bisleri which was bizzare, it was just money and business at one point.
The second most disappointing thing was the beauty of the resort is its scenic view but drones are not allowed in the property which is super ironic cause I saw a person doing drone shots but it was a collaboration so didn't understand wat was the privacy about, it's like you are obv doing a drone shoot to promote the resort indirectly and being a travel influencer it's a must to have an overview of the entire property.
We ended up spending close to 50 grand for a night but according to me it's over priced at the moment. Inflated significantly. Rethink Re-strategize the pricing at this point. It's close to duping the customer. Wont recommend or return to the property till the bloated pricing model is fixed.
P.S sorry can't upload pictures because we were disallowed flying the drone. Which again is not mentioned in the rules

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your frank feedback with us. We regret to know that you couldn't have a satisfied stay at our resort. Each point of discontent has been noted and the required actions towards improvising the same has been actioned., a person from my team too shall connect with you and discuss the same personally. With regards to the drone, as a safety policy for the guests itself we have restricted the usage with in the premises and near to the lake and the other person using the drone was the one belonging to the resort's photography team, we wouldn't want risk to be involved during the guest's stay therefore the standard rule of the resort restricts the same. Do give us another chance to host you and we'll assure you the most amazing experience ever. Regards, Canary Islands Resort & Spa

A great location in a hill area surrounded by forest with an amazing view. Pleasant stay and unique experience, almost no network (mean no disturbing /no phone call), wifi availability all around. Water activities are available at the day time and it's really a great experience in a private lake with clean water. Entire Staff is very friendly and approachable. Swimming pool is very big in size and it's located at the top of the hill. Food is a bit expensive. Very good breakfast option with tasty food. Very nice location to enjoy personal time, good photography and live with nature.

It is one of the most beautiful locations I have visited around Pune. Misty mountains and fabulous landscaping.
However, the maintenance and service fall very short and definitely not in line with 20K a night.
1. Room
Our telephone wasn't working and couldn't be repaired. This meant we couldn't coordinate with the Spa or order Room service without going via the Front Desk on WhatsApp.
The Kimirica bottles in the bathroom were not filled with Kimirca products. The cream had a citrusy smell and definitely not Frangipani and Rose.
2. Poolside
I had specifically asked if maintenance was happening at the property and they said no in writing. However, we had loud JCB digging going on at the poolside.
3. F&B service
The staff hasn't been trained to do "mise en place" - we had to constantly ask for a tissue, salt, cutlery, etc.
4. Spa
Again poor maintenance. After my massage I couldn't use the shower at the spa as the bathroom was getting flooded. All they said was sorry.
Great location, friendly staff but I definitely don't think this was value for money. It was a luxury resort pricing for room food and spa but service was just 3 star.

One of the most amazing resorts we have visited in recent times. The resort is spread across 3 islands, reception in one , accomodation and restaurant in another and jungle trial in the 3rd The concept is unique ... Starting traveling to the respective cottage in boat. The rooms are aesthetically done and with glass walls and ceiling to floor windows, the views are beyond explanation. The location is remote, so one cannot explore outside for any food options.but no regrets, the restuarant serves tasty food be in Indian or any other cuisine. The staff is very courteous. The water activities are good and the jungle trail is the USP. Over all an well spent weekend.

We visited the Canary Islands on our 25th anniversary, we had excellent experiences.
Location is excellent, all staff members' hospitality was up to the mark, even gardeners were greeting you while you pass them. Food quality is excellent.
We had booked a floating table which was in the centre of the lake for our anniversary which was unforgettable, the restaurant served us by boat whatever we were ordering. Mr Mahesh and his team leader and his team were excellent, they not only served you but also asked you for any help on the premises. We had a good time jungle trek, and water activities.
