There’s not much to say here, the condos are incredibly old and out of date. They’re doing ongoing construction in one section of the main condo building which happened to be adjacent to our condo and we endured loud drilling, sawing and pounding throughout the daytime which made it unbearable to stay inside during these hours. Theres no front desk in the main building you have to check in about two blocks away and in the main building of condos the only entrance is not through a lobby with concierge but you enter through the parking lot so every time you exit the building on foot you have to walk through the parking lot which can be cumbersome when cars are flowing in and out and there’s only one way in and one way out. If you’re relegated to one of the off-property rooms you can enjoy a wayside motel experience with filthy carpets old Dingji bedspreads and minimal furniture which effectively makes you want to be anywhere but your room. All doors are accessible to the public so anyone can come and knock on your door or worse kick in your door if they want access to your room there is no front main entrance for any visitors to check into in either property. We were so unhappy with Town Square @ Gatlinburg experience that we left days early and all changed flights just so that we could get home before Christmas, which we had planned to enjoy in Gatlinburg.

We chose Gatlinburg Town Square for our 35th wedding anniversary celebration because we had our honeymoon here in 1986. At checkin, neither of the toilets in our unit were working properly, there was dust on the floor, five spoons and a drinking glass were missing from the kitchen, the closet door in the kitchen didn't open and close correctly and the cabinet doors in our bathroom were open. I got the feeling they hadn't planned to have our unit occupied, but were over booked, although we had made the reservation well in advance through Club Exploria. We asked to be moved, but were told the resort was full. The toilets weren't repaired until the following afternoon. I asked the front desk to have the manager call. Either he didn't receive that message, was away for the week, or chose not to speak with me.

The location of this property is IDEAL for walking downtown. The recent renovations to the rooms are quite nice. It is still an older property with a bit of wear in the common areas, but we enjoy staying here.

One good thing is it was walking distance to everything. When we arrived and given the keys was then told it was a lock out. And it did have a washer and dryer which was a surprise no soap but we had brought our own.
