From the moment we walked in we were greeted with kindness and that beautiful Southern hospitality. The woman at the front desk was very nice and helpful with finding local restaurants and sites. The room was clean and updated with a modern feel. They have a bar that is open in the hotel with a very nice lounge where they do live music on a regular basis as well. The price was incredibly reasonable, and location was very close to all the local happenings. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Fredericksburg or the Fredericksburg area.
Don't blink driving down Caroline street, you might miss this hotel. Somebody dropped this gem in the downtown and it fits. Great service and quiet rooms. Walking distance to restaurants and more. Due to pandemic, you need to request coffee maker. They had a decent breakfast too, real cooked food. Not a bag to go. I will be back.
Stayed 1 night while visiting some friends. Check in was ok. Trying to understand the parking rules was interesting. They park your car $12 or you park your car $12. You can park on the street after 5 he said but you have to move it early the next day he said.....not sure if this is true or not. My room was ok, nothing fancy but it was clean and spacious. Bed was comfortable...I just hate all Marriott pillows. Shower pressure a tad weak. No coffee in your room but Starbucks in the lobby. I didn’t partake of any food or drink during my stay. It looks like if you want to do any shopping in the district, stores don’t open until 10 or 12. I didn’t experience the noise others talked about, it was quiet during my stay. I’d stay here again.
I made a reservation for our December Anniversary a few weeks ago but was in Fredericksburg for a day so I stopped by. Before I retired just a few years ago I often stayed here so I wanted to check things out and pre-select a room. I parked close to the hotel and when I got out of the car I was blasted away with loud noise that some call “music”. The front desk staff said this nuisance has been going on for a few years and they cannot do anything about it since it does not violate the local noise ordinance.😠. Although we had looked forward to spend a quiet evening and enjoy a nice dinner we cancelled everything so as not to be subjected to such an unwanted disturbance. I strongly urge the owners of this property to file suit against the bar that is responsible. I was told by the staff that they receive countless noise complaints from paying hotel patrons hearing this unwanted “noise” from their rooms. The hotel is obviously losing substantial revenue though the thoughtless actions of others. So, if noise is an issue as with us I would recommend you stay elsewhere. Management: If you read this we look forward to staying with you once this issue is resolved. File a law suit!…
A bit disappointing. We had to call for an ice bucket and enough wash cloths for the room. No Coffee pot. No decaf at the Starbucks in the hotel. Only 2 food vouchers for 3 people. We paid 2-3 times the rate with no explanation why our one night was so inflated. I think the people above us we playing soccer in their room. Room was clean and at a good location for our purpose. The little shop on the corner has fabulous danishes.
