When I arrived at this hotel. The check in was sub par. It took 15 minutes for the clerk to figure out how to assign a room. When I finally got the keys to the room. I went to the room and it was not the type of room I had reserved months a head of time. Went back down to the check in desk and the other clerk than asked would you like a room on the first floor. I was okay with that. She gave me the room keys and I went to the room and it didn't work. Walked all the way back to the desk to see if I was given the correct room. The clerk asked if I knew how to use the key. I watched her reactivate the key and she said I'll go with you and show you how to use it. I have stayed at many hotels in my life and I know how to use a key. I know the keys were not activated. The new keys worked. This was just a stay over hotel on my way to Virginia Beach. I would have given a very low score. But when I checked out. I accidently left a pillow that I bring with me on vacation. It was my wife who passed away 4 years ago. I didn't realize it until I got to Williamsburg Virginia to check in. I called the hotel and the clerk said I'll leave a message for house keeping. They should contact you in the morning she said. Morning came and by 10am I got no call. So I drove 2 hours back to the hotel just by chance hoping it was not destroyed. When I got back there I explained what happen to the desk clerk and she asked me to describe the pillow. It was easy it was a temper- pedic and had a frozen pillowcase on it. She brought it out from the back. So that's why I gave average. Because there are still some business's that still value there customer possessions. This meant a lot to me since this is something that still reminds me of my late wife.…
We were on a long trip and decided it was time to stop for the night and chose the Holiday Inn express Fredericksburg. The front desk agent Donny was great, we made reservations at a different Holiday Inn but couldn't make it there, so he took care of everything for us. Older hotel that has had some updates the beds were comfortable and breakfast good. We did have a noisy neighboring room which woke us up at 1:30am, after calling the night front desk agent, Sharron she quickly took care of the issue. Thank you for making our stay great.
Last minute trip to Fredericksburg and found this hotel near my job site. Great surprise! Very nice folks and really clean hotel. A lot of covid-19 items ie clean and safety which I really appreciated. Overall I really enjoyed my stay and will come back next visit into the area.
We arrived on Dec. 26th. My husband is spire elite. We did not get offered an upgrade. Our room was okay, but really needs some updates. Tub had rust staining. The bathroom door had obviously seen water damage and was cracked and chapped. The desk chair was too low to work at the desk. My husband called down and asked for a new chair. Someone came and took the chair and swapped it out from another room. It was filthy. So he asked for another chair and it was good. The bed was comfortable.
I needed a hotel to stop at in between PA and NC that accepted pets . My usual go to hotel brand only had a few choices on 95 and I’ve stayed at one in VA and it was terrible so I gave this Holiday inn a shot since the reviews seemed good and it was pet friendly.. WOW! First .. walking in this is not your average holiday inn ! The decor is updated and comfortable , coffee teas and hot cocoa were provided all hours of the day Check in was fast and friendly The rooms were very clean, spacious, and quiet. Wifi / ATT service was spotty on the 4th floor but it did not bother. The soaps are lovely ! I need a thick conditioner for my long hair and I loved the offered brand! I met a few of the housekeepers in the elevator and I they were so friendly and I could tell they worked hard , especially for a pet friendly hotel Breakfast was pretty awesome. So many choices and well stocked Pool was great and clean ! My kids mentioned how they didn’t feel grossed out after swimming like at other hotels . Towels on every chair . Only wish there was a hot tub ! Lots of restaurant choices all around , we chose the Mexican restaurant walking distance If you are passing through VA on 95 this is your hotel, especially with kids and pets ! My new go to stop from now on ! Sorry I didn’t take any pictures, but trust a frequent traveler . Stop here , especially if you have a dog ! …
