We like this hotel. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The hotel is clean and it’s in a good Usually quiet location. Breakfast is very limited due to COVID restrictions. We had one issue. The guests staying above us must have had problems because we heard heavy foot falls all night. Sounded like someone was marching while wearing combat boots. I digress. Our stay is usually good so we will give them a pass for the rude guests above us.

Service was back to the old level. Staff were happy to see you. Spotless cleaning. Special requests complied with and with a smile. Hopefully a sign that others are following. The Fxbg FFI has the right attitude that brings travelers back!

We had been on the road two weeks before we stopped overnight here. We have stayed in Renaissance, Element, Courtyards, Alofts, Fairfields that were all more updated and modern than this hotel with more technology and such, but NOTHING compares to the warm greeting, friendly people, and absolute professionalism of the staff at Fairfield Fredericksburg. When we walked in, Sherry, who quickly became the best part of our trip, genuinely seemed happy to help us check-in (rare for us in our travels). She was quick and efficient with our check-in, she was conscious about accessibility and made it easy for my deaf partner to understand her (doubly rare). She also was knowledgeable about the hotel, gave us recommendations about the surrounding area (Fish N' Grill, seriously, you MUST go!), and we were blown away when she welcomed and thanked us for bringing our service dog, Xander. We also had short interactions with Jocelyn and Virginia who were both wonderful as well. The hotel is severely outdated, although the lobby and exterior renovations look nice. The AC unit was extremely loud in our room, and the bathroom lights were very dim. There was also no breakfast served for now with COVID-19. But the hotel was clean, safe, and easily accessible with incredible people. I would MUCH prefer to stay here and enjoy a more classic look than an updated hotel full of disgruntled employees. We will definitely be back soon, specifically to stay here. Thank you all (especially Sherry) for your warm welcome and friendly service!

I booked two rooms for the night of July 6, 2020. I have always stayed at Marriott properties and never had a problem. This was surely different! ALL night long the door was slamming at the room next to ours while it had the Do Not Disturb sign displayed. At one point I went out to see what was going on and heard a voice screaming from the room that "That could have been very serious". I finally called the from desk and was told they would "try to get her to quiet down". Didn't happen - the door kept slamming. At 5:00ish I called the desk again and was told she had just "come down for fresh towels". Don't know what that had to do with anything. Was also told she went in and out smoking all night and they "couldn't tell anyone that they can't smoke". Not long after that we decided to just leave. On the way out the woman at the desk asked how my stay was and when I told her it was "awful" she said the woman in the room "had just checked into a hospital" while she indicated that she was crazy by twirling her finger to her head. I obviously knew at that point that they were aware this guest was a problem and that she had been staying there for "quite some time". She then told me that they "normally don't put anybody in the room next to her". I'm not sure what exactly was going on in that room all night, but we got no sleep. Do not let them put you by room 226. The hotel did refund my points for one of my rooms, but it certainly didn't make up for an entire night of no sleep. I have to admit that the behavior and responses from the front desk were not what I would expect.

We have been here before. It’s always pleasant.. This time was no different. We are all dealing with very trying times. People in the service industry are doing their best to keep up with the fluid situation regarding the Corona Virus. We had a very nice overnight stay. Employees try to make guests comfortable and it’s appreciated. Our room was clean and everything was in order. The people at the front desk (one young lady offered us coffee). Were cordial and accommodating. This did not happen at the Marriott in Savannah. We will return.
