Pros is that us in a convenient area for shopping and near the highway. Cons- Facility is very old. Main grounds look ok but signage is a little lacking. Lobby smells like an ashtray. Room was nor very clean. Found used soap in the shower and other hair in the sheets. Room service is NOT automatically provided for short stays unless you request it before 11 AM the same day. Yet you pay full rates. There is something wrong there. AC unit thermostat was defective. Had to put it on 60 degrees for A/C. Heat dud not automatically regulate.
I have stayed at this hotel for many years on my trips from Boston to Florida. 1 time on the way down and 1 time on the way back. And as a whole I stay at Quality inn’s all the time. I just recently learned about the rewards program though. This particular time my family and I decided to make the move from Boston to Florida permanent. I booked the hotel on the app on the way down I booked the hotel on the app on the way down. I was traveling with my wife and three dogs inside a box truck towing our car behind us. I arrived at the hotel and the man behind the desk was extremely rude. He told me that I should have called because he had already done his night audit. As a side note, I have no clue what that means. He put me down as a no show. I was polite and apologized to him for me not knowing to call as I never have in the past. His attitude was extremely rude and made me feel super uncomfortable. Had it not been so late I probably would have left and gone to another hotel. Eventually after listening to him complain about me (the guest), he gave me my room key. He looked out the doors and saw my wife with the dogs in the truck. Said to park the truck in the open spaces and i was all set. The guy must have been watching the cameras like a hawk. I pulled up, took the dogs out to use the bathroom and we made our way inside. The whole process took at a maximum of 5 minutes. I woke up the next morning took the dogs to the bathroom then got back in the truck to go check out. Up until this point I was unaware that there was a pet fee of $25 per pet. Which of you ask me is extremely high for 3 dogs that combined don’t even weigh 25 pounds. I walked in. The woman behind the desk was super nice and the way she handled the situation was awesome. She told me that the night manager is always watching the cameras and that he saw that I had 3 dogs. He charged my card $75 plus tax for my dogs. And let me be clear I don’t have a problem with being charged. My problem is that he could have called down to my room to let me know that was happening. Why would he be watching the cameras like that? Is it because it is an unsafe area? Which makes me think I shouldn’t stay there anymore. Or is it because he was looking for me to do something wrong? Which makes me feel uncomfortable about staying there. Both of which are unacceptable. Bottom line is that there should be a way to put that you are traveling with pets to give the customer the knowledge they need to make a decision. Between that and the attitude of the man that night this is a terrible way to do business. And as a small business owner myself I would never treat my guests/customers like this. I truly hope that this man will be spoken to and if I’m being honest I would like my money back for the pet deposit and the room. Simply for the uncomfortable feeling I had that night. Thank you for reading and stay safe. …
Both front desk, male employees were very polite & friendly. ( 1 at check-in, 1 at check-out) Truck parking is available in the shared lot. Some reviews are stating this is an 'older hotel'--I dont care if a hotel is old or brand new, I just want a clean room, good linens, a tv, hot water for showers, coffee maker & microwave...and they have all that here. And..it was so Quiet. Our room faced the pool so we heard nothing. The nightly rate is already reasonable but, they do accept the coupon in those Hotel Books. And lastly, thank you for offering a smoking room...that didn't even smell like a smoking room!
Stayed two nights on last minute business trip. I was received well by the desk clerk despite my late check in and given a nice room. I’m not hanging around the hotel so a good bed and shower is all I need. The water pressure was great and the hot water was long lasting. Linens were comfortable and clean and although the hotel is older, it has been maintained and updated the best as can be. The staff is friendly and attentive, the breakfast is great considering it’s complimentary. Would definitely stay here again.
We stopped at Quality Inn and chose it because we had a small dog. Clerk was very, very friendly and helpful. Our room was close to the road and we heard cars and loud motorcycles ALL NIGHT LONG. The air conditioner was very loud and would go on/off all through the night. Don't choose a room near the road. Breakfast wasn't appealing.
