The Hampton Inn Jacksonville-Downtown-I-95 has garnered appreciation for its hospitable service, particularly during breakfast, despite the ongoing renovations that have impacted its amenities. However, some guests have voiced concerns over the cleanliness of the rooms, reporting odors and a general failure to meet expectations. Unprofessional behavior by the front desk staff has also been cited by a few travelers, contrasting with the positive reception of the breakfast team. To travelers and corporate staff who
happen to read this review, you have an amazing person that needs some attention, Ms Tina, who manages the kitchen makes this stay more worth while, she is very engaging, helpful, and full of ideas, she is an angel in disguise. My family and I stayed at this hotel, and everyday we arrived it was literally the highlight of the day, she's very positive and her hospitality is the best, you HAVE a gem here and she deserves recognition. We stayed for an unfortunate passing of family, and I could always count on seeing her to give me a postive boost during such a hard time. Besides staff the rooms were great. The only negatives that I would mention was that you have to ask a day in advance if you want your room cleaned for the next day (it is not automatic). And of coarse if you only stay one that won't matter much. I would also suggest while you have great idea with flavored wafffles (apple cinnamon and strawberry etc) .. maybe getting a different variety like chicken and waffles or biscuits and gravy, Cranberry juice, maybe grits. Again Ms TINA !!! Gold star employee hand down !!

First impression was great! All the staff were friendly and cordial. They all had smiles and greetings were professional. Check in was flawless and the two ladies behind the counter were excellent. Extremely accommodating and provided recommendations for lunch. Special thanks to Donnesha and her colleague working at the check in counter. They both had great attitudes and beautiful smiles. Top notch service!

Friendly staff. Nice lobby although the smell of smoke in the furniture is noticeable to non smokers. The carpets need to be replaced if not shampooed. Someone actually put the ice bucket liner over the smoke detector in our room! We did report it to the front desk.we feel like this was a recently added member to the Hilton chain and they are trying.

Worst stayed i ever been experience the bathroom is dirty shower need to be fix make so much noise and toilet bowl is not even clean since we first get here the price is not even that cheap under hilton chain its supposed to maintain that quality you don't have to provide good services just being clean is enough!! And after staying here the fire alarm went off and had false alarm for 2 times and 2 day on my stay and im running down at 2 am and 4am it's worst experience here ever.

I have stayed at various Hilton properties for 20+ years, but this is NOT where you want to stay for business or as a family. This is the type of property where you get bed bugs, fleas or roaches. Bloody pillow cases, orange cheeze it type crackers, dirty toilet, gross looking stained furniture etc. Worse yet, when I politely requested room service the following day it was not ever done, and when I asked again they just told me to find a cleaning lady and ask for towels! Only decaf coffee packets available in room, out of many breakfast items despite being there right at 6am, and the worst was a highly disrupted fire alarm that occurred at 2am the night before my daughter competed in a national tournament, with no explanation or apology going to guests. By far the worst stay I've had at a Hilton property in 10+ years. Stay somewhere else around downtown Jacksonville!

I’m shocked that this place has any positive reviews. Front desk staff appeared upset that I even showed up for my reservation. One of the beds was completely bare and not made up. The other had blood staining all over it. About 2 hours into our stay the cleaning staff came into our room unannounced to perform cleaning that clearly didn’t happen before our arrival. Bathroom was dirty and in need of repairs. There is one restaurant close by but otherwise the hotel is in the middle of a ghost town. This place is an absolute disaster.

From the moment we got there, horrible experience. The desk attended made NO eye contact, no hello, how are you, how can I help...nothing! We traveled 5 hours and arrived 45 minutes before check-in, we were told to go drive around and we could not check in 45 minutes early. No apology. We contemplated just going to another hotel at this point, but sat in our vehicle and waited. Went back in at 3p, I had a King bed room reserved, however was told no King available and I could have 2 queens. No choice so I had to take it. My family got a King room but when they opened the door the room had NOT been cleaned, they ended up having to get two queens as well. Their room smelled of Marijuana, my room reeked of cigarettes. At 130am I woke up and there were BUGS running around around in the bathroom! Looked like silverfish bugs. On the floor, sink counter, walls. Absolutely disgusting! There were tiles missing off the floor, and areas that clearly looked dirty. I did not go back to sleep after that! Did not shower in the morning before we left. This is UNACCEPTABLE!!!! My rewards app states the room + tax was $190, but I was charged $215. This room and service was not worth $100. During checkout in the morning, again not greeted with a hello, was not asked how my stay was. Just..."how would you like your receipt". I love Hilton hotels, but we will NEVER stay at this location again. We have a few times as it's half way point from our cruise vacations. We would rather stay at a different hotel and pay more money for quality service and rooms.

Not the Hilton standard. Public areas reeked the smell of smoke. Flooring, light switches and walls were extremely dingy. Even the glass barrier at checkin and glass doors were very molly. I used a Clorox wipe and cleaned the remote of stickiness that was inside of a plastic cover that said it had been cleaned/sanitized. Had I not have sprayed and cleaned my room I would have asked for a different room or changed hotels all together if it wasn’t for the others being sold out -Labor Day weekend. Service was fine. Reps were helpful and professional.

During Covid, you may worry about traveling but the Hampton Inn provides a sanitized and comfortable stay. Hand sanitizer is placed all around the hotel, along with signs informing the guests to maintain appropriately distanced from one another. However, that’s not what makes the stay special, it’s Ms. Peaches! Mrs. Peaches greeted my boyfriend and I with a huge and friendly smile in the morning. She was decked out in her game day apparel and offered breakfast while making us feel right at home. I would highly recommend a stay here just for the hospitality.

Room was okay but you are remodeling and this will make them better. The beds were a little hard, tv was prefect size for the room. There was a very bad stain on the restroom floor. We had just enough towels, but remember lady’s need two towels, so if you only put two towels, it will not be enough. Overall good stay but the people here were awesome.
