All employees were kind and professional and absolutely make this hotel a place to come back to. Every front desk person we encountered was kind and helpful answering any questions we had. Our family fell in love with “mama” at breakfast. She made everyone feel special and important. She was a highlight of our trip. The gentleman cleaning the floors and elevators was kind and observant and noticed when my mom came in with me at one point and then when my younger brother and family got in he had remembered he had seen her with her daughter earlier. Again, just friendly and attentive. Kudos to Hampton Inn & Suites for your outstanding staff!
The hotel is clean, but you can tell it’s a little bit older. There were signs of wear and tear in the room such as the vanity in the bathroom was chipped and there appears to be a water pressure issue because we had multiple rooms and all had the same issue (which was not a problem that we needed to have addressed during our stay because the water still worked). The toilets are horribly low it’s like sitting on the floor. Probably the worst aspect of staying here. Not recommended for anyone with mobility issues like myself. In fact we would tell each other, I have to go sit on the floor to indicate we would be in the restroom. I did research accessible rooms, but they stated they had “lowered toilets” oh my goodness! Lower? The toilets in this hotel are not ADA height.
As with all hotels, the rooms are not soundproof and you can hear a lot of noises from attached rooms, the hall and from outside.
Despite a few small complaints, we would stay here again when in the area.

I had some time off, so I stayed one night. As a Hilton Honors Diamond (a perk of the American Express Hilton Aspire card), so I was able to park next to the door. Because I am a Hilton Honors member, I picked my hotel room (top floor) and used the app to check in and use it as the room key! No need to talk to the desk. The room was great, I did not use the TV or the microwave but it was available. I appreciate the USB next to the bed and on the desk, some hotels in the same price range don't offer them. The bed and pillows were soft. I also appreciated the adjustable shower head, many just have a single type. I did not use the pool or other amenities, breakfast and breakfast area were good. One benefit to the location is the huge shopping district on the other side of I-95, plenty of plqces to shop and eat out! And next door is a Zaxby's and a Roadhouse (steakhouse). If I was in the area again, I would not hesitate to stay here.

After a long road trip entering the lobby we were greeted by such a welcoming young women . Coldest night in Florida in many years lobby was beautifully decorated for the season and was so warm and cozy. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast buffet was well attended the next few mornings. The location for us was great not to far from family we were visiting and right down the road plenty of shopping options and restaurants galore. This was a great location for our visit to North Jacksonville area the Hampton Inn is a bit older than some we have stayed at but it is well maintained highly recommend if staying in this area

We stayed one night before our 5 day trip and one after. Parking is free on nights you stay and $10 a day in between. Clean room. Excellent shuttle service (24/7). Breakfast so-so. No greek yoghurt; only yoplait with artificial sweetener. Front desk ok.

The hotel is older but doesn't excuse the lack of cleanliness. The first room they gave us had animal food on the carpet and was obviously not vacuumed. White nasty soiled marks were on the bed skirts and the room smelled of urine. Second room they gave us wasn't much better, filthiest furniture I've seen in a hotel/ motel in years if not ever. Again nasty white soiled bed skirts, white marks on seating stools, black multi colored stains all over the office chair. It had large hand prints on the windows and grease smears. Carpet edges around the wall was thick with dander dust and who knows what else. Coffee rings on the table from previous guests. The refrigerator closet had and old spill of something sticky and top of the cabinet handle had black grease built up. The walls in the room were banged up and patched poorly like something you'd find in a rundown motel. White sheets and covers were clean and bathroom was clean,so we decided to stay(nonrefundable and paid for) and truly roughed it considering paying a hotel price. We pushed in the bed skirt so to not touch anything. We were all too exhausted to move again, at this point I assumed we would end up being in another filthy room. Oh and the pool was closed because it was broken and green. I've honestly never been so grossed out by a property owned by Hilton and won't book with them again anytime soon. Completely disappointed in the property which years ago we booked and it was beautiful.

Airport hotels all have the similar challenge of one night stays and it shows. This hotel is under-maintained separate from housekeeping. Left a "Fix it" list and certain it will be ignored. Sprayed room scent is over-whelming, left the door open to air. Typical Hampton Breakfast however the woman working the area is meticulous in cleaning and outstanding in her welcome & service. As an airport hotel, one night, sure.

This was my first time at this Hampton Inn and my second time at a Hampton Inn in 8 days. We made reservations in advance for two rooms for one night. Access is not off the main road so you need to get to it via a road that runs alongside of it.
What I Liked: - The check-in process was easy - The rooms were functional with no major issues - We were upgraded to a suite for one of our two rooms - The free breakfast buffet was better than average albeit not gourmet but if that is what you were expecting you deserve to be disappointed. The assortment is diverse enough for all ages. - Its location provided easy access to the airport - The suite had a couch and wet bar area. We used the couch to lay out our suitcases.
What I Did Not Like - The toilet was not functioning properly in the Suite and needed some extra attention to properly flush it - The Suite was not as functional a you might expect and was actually a nuisance because access around the bed was very tight based on the furniture configuration - The room interiors had no been upgraded in recent years from what I could tell
My overall stay rating is average with the free breakfast buffet being a tad above average. They were planning on doing a lot of interior carpeting work on some of the floors so rooms were limited.

On 11/20 my wife and I checked in for an overnight stay as we had an early flight 11/21 with a late return on 11/25. We inquired if the shuttle operated 24/7 and were told yes and completed the paperwork indicating our return Saturday 11/25. Upon arriving at Jax we called for shuttle pickup and were told it doesn’t operate on weekends requiring us to pay for transport back to the hotel I attempted to discuss this problem with the manager via email and phone but have thus far been ignored .. Free shuttle advertising is misleading and staff is not trained to address this need.

I have stayed at this great hotel in the past and my recent stay was so great too!
I called for the shuttle at about 8:45 pm on a Friday evening and the gentleman was there within 10 mins! That really helped me after a 20 hour day! David was just great! He greeted me at the front desk, gave me my Diamond amenity bag and my keys. I chose to stay on the Fifth floor. The room was immaculate! A clean bed and towels too!
In the morning, Pearl, the breakfast buffet lady was there. She was so kind and helpful! I checked out in the morning with David.
So to the General Manager of the Hampton Inn at the Jacksonville Airport, I thank you for the great help of David, Pearl, the shuttle driver and housekeeping!

The hotel seemed more family oriented. We were busy with a class so don't know pool hours but when we came back at 9:00pm the pool was still open. It is about 20 minutes to the zoo, and 30 minutes to the beach according to the front desk. We went to Fernandina Beach one day and it was about 30 minutes as well. St Augustine is about 1.25 hours.
There are more places to choose from in the Jacksonville area.
