Our room was clean. The staff was nice.There were several issues. The breakfast was mediocre and essentially the same each morning. The other Hampton Inn in Jacksonville that is north of this one has a better breakfast. The HVAC in the room is old and noisy. The brand regulated breakfast is the standard breakfast but is temporarily served in an alternative room until the breakfast area refresh has been completed very soon. First of all, I have to say that I was shocked to learn that this hotel has been here over 12 years. It is so clean and well-maintained, I thought it was brand new!
Several family members stayed here 6 days/5 nights for a local wedding, and everyone was extremely satisfied with the rooms, sleep quality, front desk and housekeeping, and the breakfast service. Special thanks to Chaila at the front desk for extra-special help upon arrival, and a friendly greeting each time we saw her afterwards!
The hotel is located in a busy shopping complex, but the pond out front and woods in back create the illusion that you are in a much more rural area. Parking is easy, and access to major routes make this an ideal place to spend a few days in the Jax area.
Several family members stayed here 6 days/5 nights for a local wedding, and everyone was extremely satisfied with the rooms, sleep quality, front desk and housekeeping, and the breakfast service. They are well prepared for distancing from one another, and require masks in the bldg. My AC/Heat was part of an individual unit - not central. Good stuff. Being from NE Ohio originally, I do my due diligence reading reviews to make sure a Florida hotel doesn't have a roach or ant problem. This one appeared good from all I read and my stay was bug free too! Front Desk was cordial, professional & helpful throughout the trip. The price was right & plenty nearby for dining/shopping if needed and close to the highway for your travel needs.

Our "Head Coach" takes the safety of each guest and team members as a top priority! Providing super clean rooms, all team members wear masks at all times, and attention to details is very important to us. You are correct, no bugs are allowed here and there are several nearby restaurants to select from and the Interstate is nearby but you do not experience the noise at our hotel. I usually stay at Hamilton Inns while taking long road trips, as they offer nice accommodations at an affordable rate. Plus a decent free breakfast. I’m also a Silver honored guest so I usually get at least a free water upon arrival. NOT at this property. They wouldn’t give me one. Check in was a mess. I normally check in via the app so I can go straight to my room. NOT at this property. For some reason I had to physically check in. The first person at the front desk couldn’t find my reservation. She got someone else who found me right away. Breakfast are usually good and plentiful. NOT at this property. Missing many standard offerings. Including Dark Roast coffee. I would have rated this a 1 star stay, but the location is good.

If you’re looking for someplace that is slightly below the standards of a Motel 6, I believe this hotel is right for you. I’ve been an HHonors member for 23 yrs and loyal enough that I’ve been Diamond for several years now, so I am very familiar with Hilton standards. Over the past year I’ve shifted to Marriott because of a string of issues, from bad properties to corporate doing away with Executive Lounges and other perks. This Hampton Inn is a great example of how bad things can get when Hilton stops inspecting properties or caring about reputation. The room should’ve been remodeled at least five years ago. The window was so dirty inside and out that I couldn’t see through it. The bedding was terrible and the mattress was garbage. Biggest waste of points ever.
When I went to breakfast each morning the staff were busy texting and super unfriendly, even when offered a Russian greeting. The last day of my stay the two women running the breakfast were both on their phones, leaning against the breakfast bar right in front of the food. I waited and one of them finally moved. I grabbed breakfast (avoid the sausage and eggs at all cost), but became frustrated when I couldn’t get the other woman to move from in front of the condiments and seasoning. I tried English, Russian and even Spanish (I’d heard them speaking Russian the day prior) but it was like talking to a rock. I was interrupting their social time and they weren’t allowing it. I tried to tell the manager about it and he seemed outright hostile that I’d even mention it.
The truly sad part is this franchise is run by a company that has a Residence Inn next door. That property is excellent- 5/5 stars with a great staff and manager. Perhaps Marriott just pays more…whatever the case- I believe you should avoid this place at all cost.

We did not become the #10 hotel on Trip Advisor out of 143 in Jacksonville because of reviews like this one. The sarcasm, arrogance and entitlement says everything. We are always appreciative of constructive criticism, but this review does not even come close to that standard. This is just insulting. It happens, but we encourage the reader to consider our reviews in total, not just one like this one.

The hotel is very nice and clean and actually had pretty good breakfast. As far as getting a good nights sleep it was honestly a nightmare. I’m one of many people who needs noise from
A fan to sleep. There was no option to leave the fan on. You could only set it on high or low. So all night long we dealt with the fan turning on and off. Every single time it turned off I instantly woke up and could not go back to sleep until it was back on. I was up multiple times in the middle of the night turning the air down lower and lower just for it to turn back on. The problem with that is that the blankets were so paper thin they couldn’t possibly keep anyone warm so I’m dealing with either not being able to sleep from no noise from a fan or freezing to death. But even no matter how low we turned it the fan wouldn’t stay on too long anyways so it was a lose lose situation. My husband and I got very little sleep. On top of that the pillows hurt both of our necks pretty badly. We also dealt with people revving up and racing their cars in the parking lot at 7am on the dot but I know that is not something that is the hotels fault. If you are someone who needs a fan to sleep I highly suggest either bringing your own or staying somewhere else.

Check in was uneventful. We were told there was no cleaning service unless requested. What we were not told was there only 2 towels per room Monday through Thursday, because according to housekeeping they don't have enough. But on Friday through Sunday each room gets 4. How does this make sense? There was stray hairs stuck to the bathroom walls, there was dirt in the corner by doors and all sorts of stains on the bedroom walls. The vacuum used in the rooms sounded like a dust buster not a vacuum. Which explained why nothing appear really clean. Public spaces were just as bad, the elevators were sticky and we checked in on a Thursday.
Breakfast at Hampton Inn has gone downhill in the last serveral years. This was the standard breakfast but less. There were 3 cereals, all some type of raison brand flake, bagged pasteries, strawberry yogurt, 1 waffle maker, eggs which were like rubber, sausage and a potato. The only fruit was individually wrapped apples.
We checked out a day early to move closer to airport, stayed at a Marriot Springhill which was clean and saved $130. I would try any of the 3 other hotels in the area before I would stay here again.

Good Day nowzer, Thank you for completing a review regarding your recent visit, but I am confused by the issues that were stated. As per the Brand Standard, four towels are required in each standard room with two queen beds, which is what was supplied, regardless as to what day of the week it is; we certainly do not have a linen shortage. The hotel's high-quality as well as efficient vacuums are very quiet, so our guests are not disturbed. Apples, bananas, muffins, assort. bread items, a selection of hot items and more are also Brand Standards. Our team members take great pride in providing top notch service in a super clean environment. We regret that you feel that we did not meet your expectations.

The hotel was clean, but the sales service was very poor. When I called in to make a reservation and inquired about the block of rooms that were being held for family attending a funeral, no one at the front desk had a clue as to what I was asking about. I was directed to the sales manager who was not available; I left a message explaining what I was looking for and would she call me back. I followed up with an email. No response either way. I wound up paying a high rate because it was also the weekend of the GA-FL football game. Very disappointing.

Hello Spinniker. Thank you for staying with us and for taking the time to write the review. Obviously, your review is not typical of even our most recent reviews on Trip Advisor. Most of your criticisms were matters that could have easily been resolved had you communicated with us. Even providing an extra chair. We are very responsive when we are asked. Since April 1, by Hilton direction, all Hamptons are now pet friendly hotels, which we were not before. We have special cleaning protocols in place for rooms that contain pets, and our hotel definitely does not smell like a dog kennel. In any event, we wish you a healthy remainder of 2022 and safe travels.

Chose Hampton Inns for our overnight stays on our recent road trip to and from Florida from Ontario.
The Hilton App allowed us to book the hotels on-line, check in on-line (even choosing our room location) and our phones became digital keys. This allowed us (on most stays) to skip the check-in process at the front desk and go straight to our room. The mini fridge and microwave are helpful. Beds were comfortable and cleanliness of hotel is reliable.
Breakfast buffet offers many choices. Coffee and tea bar is a nice touch.

Hi Sandraados, Yes, we love furbabies! There is an additional charge that is based upon the length of stay as well as a weight limit of 75 lbs total. A special welcome goodie bag will be provided to your furbaby upon check in. See you soon!
There is no mask mandate in Jacksonville right now so we do not require masks in the hotel. We are still requiring our team members to wear masks as a safety measure and many guests are also choosing to do so. It is your choice.
