Hotel's Favourite
We planned this trip as a convenient get away to break up winter. My wife was not 100% on the idea but I knew The Rittenhouse would make a great place to spend a few days regardless of weather etc.. It did not disappoint! Staff really made us feel welcome, the room was upgraded and flawless. We enjoyed the option of having breakfast in and stopping by the bar later in the evening when it was raining out. Along with the cities historic sites and food scene we really enjoyed out trip.

Our first trip of 2021, and we decided to spend some time at the Rittenhouse Hotel in Philly. Can't recommend this hotel enough. From the time we made our reservation, our check in and during the length of our stay, the staff was amazing. Anyone and everyone who we interacted with, greeted us with a smiled and made us feel at home.
We stayed at the Rittenhouse Hotel for 3 nights. There's a driveway with some parking at the front door of the hotel. You can leave your car here for some time, while you unload your luggage, check in. When we checked in, the hotel had upgraded us to a suite, which was really great of them. The check in process was quick and Samena at the front desk gave us a warm welcome. She went over all of the Covid safety precautions, and also the benefits that came with our reservation. A few minutes later, we were headed upstairs.
Our room was on the 6th floor, room 600. it was facing the rear of the hotel, and had a view of the City, and as we found out the next day... the sunset. You walked into a fairly large living room, which had a minibar, couch, some chairs and a cafe style dining table. Through the next door, you walk into a study area, which had a desk, and a small separation for the bed. Within the room was a small hallway that had a double closet and the bathroom.
The bathroom was really nice, with a tub and a separate shower, and double sinks. The entire room had smart switches, including the bathroom... and you could easily control the lights, and dim them as you liked. This was one of the features that we appreciated the most.
The hotel also carries one of our favorite bath amenities (Acqua Di Parma), and one of our favorite teas (Tea Leaves Company). It also had an illy coffee machine and pods, which you could make coffee or an espresso. We also had a separate hot water kettle for tea.
Our stay included a credit for breakfast, which was provided through in-room dining. Food was delivered promptly, and due to safety precautions staff doesn't enter the room, but do help make sure the food cart gets into the room. Food was hot, and everything was covered. Eggs were cooked perfectly, and the juice was fresh. When you finish, you just roll the cart outside, and call in room dining, so they can come pick up everything.
It's been a while since we've stayed at a non-chain hotel, and we are so glad we chose the Rittenhouse. Wonderful stay, and we can't wait to come back again.

My boyfriend and his son and I took a trip this past week to Philadelphia on a culinary and cultural eating adventure. We were absolutely blown away by our stay at the Rittenhouse Hotel. From the moment we drove up to the hotel we were greeted with warm and friendly professional staff from the valet to doormen and bell staff! It just got better and better from there.
We were welcomed by a lovely front desk staff. Mike the bellmen and 2 very lovely young women at the desk... my apologies for not remembering your names! These young women we’re knowledgeable about the city and fun attractions and best ways to get around the city. The lobby is grand there is a lite and pleasant aroma wafting throughout the hotel! Attention to details and apparent from the moment you arrive to the front door through the entire property.
Our 2 bedroom suite was opulent and chic. The room was perfectly appointed and immaculate, with all proper amenities large kitchen beautiful bathrooms over the top TV’s and over the top shower. All while offering sweeping views of Rittenhouse Square Park from every room.Illy coffee machine and a special amenity of cheese board with wine and local Philly beers rounded out our suite! Our stay continue with a lovely breakfast at the hotel restaurant LaCoix. Bright sunny and welcoming the gentlemen welcome us at the host stand and escorted us to a lovely corner table. The service was top notch our server Tatiana was eloquent and well versed in regards to the menu. The blue crab avocado toast is to die for! Michael our server on day 2 was attentive and funny! The buffet offers at breakfast in addition to the al la carte menu was delicious. Homemade pastries and nibbles that leaves you wanting for nothing.
We had cocktails at Scarpetta and a few nibbles to start one of our nights off. Try the handcrafted Old Fashioned it was delicious, staff was A+. Now onto the spa and pool. Mind blown the saltwater pool is heaven! The ladies locker rooms and work out room are very clean and well... spa like. Every type of machine is there to keep you feeling health from a fully appointed Pilates machine and Pellaton bikes. The steam room and sauna are beautiful the steam room boasts a constant flow of eucalyptus aroma therapy scent burst. The staff at the sap were friendly and very knowledgeable and not to mention incredibly good looking.
I cannot say enough good things about this property. I myself am in the hospitality and food service industry as well as my partner and his son! I can say with utmost confidence I’ll stay here time and time again! Not only just because of the hotel itself but because of the STAFF and management! Thank you, thank you, thank you! We can not wait to cone back.

Weekend at The Rittenhouse Hotel was a lovely experience. The staff was so accommodating and welcoming and there wasn’t a single thing I would have changed. Our room was large and spacious and there was no noise once in the room. The bed was very comfortable and the huge smart tv was an added convenience. The location was one of the main reasons we chose this hotel and being able to walk to restaurants within a couple of blocks was ideal. There is a courtesy car if weather is an issue. If staying in the city, The Rittenhouse Hotel is where we will be staying from now on.

This hotel was awesome before we even checked in. We booked a room online and then I called the hotel to check on what the covid policies were and what was open. I spoke with Ashley who was so friendly and accommodating. After speaking for a few minutes Ashley said she would take good care of us, and she delivered.
Upon arrival Joe met us at the door and took care of our bags, got us to our room and settled in. The staff is fantastic.
We were in suite R 8. A lovely king suite overlooking Rittenhouse Square. It’s very roomy with 1.5 baths. We were traveling with our daughter, so the sofa bed was already open. A short while after check in, A staff member brought a tray with 2 cold brew lattes, 1 root beer, a chocolate bar, and a coupon for a free movie! What a lovely touch. In room dining is available, however no other food service is provided. The pool and fitness center are closed. We chose to eat out. Currently there are so many options for outdoor dining. Several side street around the square are blocked off for dining. Hand sanitizer is available all throughout the hotel. We valet parked, however there is local parking if you choose to self park. Excellent location, excellent hotel. The park still has a fair share of homeless. Almost everyone outside/on the streets wear masks. Everyone in the hotel wears masks.

Consistently excellent. We live locally so it is not a trip. We come at least once per year for a birthday or anniversary to relax and be pampered. There are really only two luxury properties in Philadelphia, the Rittenhouse and the Four Seasons. We did patronize the previous Four Seasons property off and on as well. While the new Four Seasons is on the 55th floor and no doubt has a wonderful view I cannot see spending almost double for a room 60% as large (their smallest room). Yes, it is a newer property but the Rittenhouse is clearly very well maintained and up to date (and has lightening fast wifi for those working or addicted to social media), provides excellent service and is on Rittenhouse Square (which has its own lovely views as well as the vendors on Sat and Sunday). I cannot see the Fours Seasons providing service that is notably superior to what we receive at the Rittenhouse. Even if you can afford to spend at the top of the market, value matters. If you provide more I will pay more. Simply paying more for a similar experience does not appeal to me. And to me the extra physical space at the Rittenhouse is a plus. They also have a nice gym/spa (gym included with room). Expect to pay premium spa prices but you also get a premium spa experience.
Another benefit of the Rittenhouse other than the great staff and general comfort is the location. If you choose not to dine in the hotel (and Lacroix is a lovely experience), there are at least 6 nice and very good restaurants right on the square within a 3 minute walk and another 10+ within a 10 minute walk or short Uber ride. There is also upscale stores located across the street from the hotel. I have eaten at the Four Seasons (and Vernick Fish is very good) but it is in a business district so there appear to be more office buildings and less entertainment options nearby.

My husband surprised me with a flamenco show and a one night stay at The Rittenhouse to celebrate our 19th wedding anniversary and I have to say he nailed it! The Rittenhouse made us feel like royalty with its over the top customer service from a professional and detail oriented staff. We asked concierge Maria to recommend a restaurant for dinner and she gave us at list six options of wonderful restaurants all within walking distance from the hotel! Our room on the top floor was just wonderful with a beautiful view of the park and all the amenities of a five start hotel. My only complained to my husband was that next time we have to stay minimun 2 nights! Can't wait to go back!

Outstanding customer service and the groups and meetings personnel are top-notch. I have worked with hotels to plan events for smaller groups for over 16 years; and to date, my experience with the Rittenhouse is hard to beat and we have not even held the event yet. Prior to contacting the Rittenhouse I contacted the Four Seasons at Comcast Center and had a very frustrating and unpleasant experience. From my very first communications, everything with the Rittenhouse has been positive. The site visit was very positive. We found all staff members to be extremely friendly, professional and accomodating. The rooms are large and well-appointed. The spa and fitness area has a pleasant atmosphere. We ordered room service because it was super bowl weekend. The food and service exceeded our expectations.
Unfortunately, due to the panic over the coronavirus, we felt pressured to postpone the event which was to be held in less than 2 weeks. Yes, most merchants are making exceptions under the circumstances; however, The Rittenhouse responded within moments of my e-mail to them regarding our need to postpone and were very understanding. Immediately I received cancellation confirmations for all reservations, spa appointments and events onsite, and 100% refunds for all deposits.
As soon as the world returns to normal, we will be rebooking our event at the Rittenhouse for sure!

My family and I stayed at the lovely Rittenhouse hotel the last weekend of December 2019. It was one of the best hotel experiences we have ever had! Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted with a welcoming smile from Richard, the doorman, who guided us to the lobby for check-in. While checking in, Michael, the bellman, put us at ease and took care of all of our luggage, and perfectly timed his arrival as we had just entered our spectacular room. The room was spacious, extremely neat with an amazing view of Rittenhouse Square. After getting settled in, we were ready to go and get dinner. At the front lobby, was Maria at the concierge's desk, who promptly ask if she could be of any assistance. We asked for several ideas for dinner, and she immediately provided us several locations and available reservation times, all based on my our requirements. She was very knowledgeable and had many wonderful suggestions for things to do in Philadelphia. The stay was a complete masterpiece with from beginning to end. My family and I can't wait to come back!

Our elevators do not have key access but as others point out, our door and security teams are very vigilant. The Park Suite floor on the third level is keyed off and has private access
