This is a charming location and the higher floors offer a view of the reservoir (odd number rooms). The room was wonderful, spacious and had great features. The staff were friendly, the fitness center good but could have had more equipment. Overall very nices

This hotel is staffed by the most helpful employees I have ever encountered. Every single person was courteous, professional, and willing to go beyond an ordinary level of service.
The room was comfortable, breakfast was typical buffet but well staffed and maintained, and it was relatively easy to get around the city from the location.
One minor complaint would be the parking. While there the gated lot had many malfunctions--tickets didn't work, machine ran out of tickets, etc. Fortunately, the hotel did not charge me for parking.

Very surprised at the uncleanliness of the room, especially during these times. Empty the garbage at least. Hair in the sink and television didn’t work. Hotels in Center City are a lot better than this and some cost a lot less. For the money, this room should have been nicer. Also, if check-in isn’t until 4:00, I think you should be ready with clean rooms by 3:45 instead of making people wait until 4:30-5:00.

We stayed in the Homewood Suites City Ave when we attended Accepted Student Day at SJU. The hotel was in the perfect location for our needs.
The room was roomy and well appointed. There were enough places for the three of us to charge all of our devices. The TV was in an odd place and could not be seen by the person on the couch, but other than that, the room was great. The bed and pillows were comfortable.
The front desk staff were all very kind and personable. We went out a few times and they quickly validated the parking ticket for us.
The breakfast was sufficient- there were scrambled eggs, sausage, biscuits, cereals, breads, and a bowl of apples. The food was tasty and there was an attendant making sure that the area was clean.
We would definitely come back and stay here the next time we come to SJU.

We are Diamond members, however, we were not treated as such at this hotel. Before arriving I communicated with the hotel regarding a request for extra pillows and an extra blanket. I have Lupus and have a condition where I cannot sleep laying flat as I have difficulty breathing. The hotel said they would have the items placed in the room ahead of our arrival. We got to the room and the items were not there. We arrived late in the evening so we called down and had to wait again for the items to come up since the front desk said they were short staffed. We had tickets to a museum the next day and an ansy two-year-old. We were not able to get settled until after 10:00 PM when someone finally brought the items up.
Then, as a Diamond member, I am supposed to receive 2 water bottles and a snack (per my profile) upon arrival. Those items were not offered to us. When my husband went back down to ask about the items at the front desk he was told "the Homewood Suites does not do that. That's only at the Hilton next door." So we had to purchase two bottles of water. This too was annoying since I take medication for my Lupus and purposely did not stop to pick water up because I knew I would have free water given to me upon arrival at the hotel.
Finally, we were not able to log onto the wifi because they had my last name incorrect in the system so when I added my last name and room number I kept getting an error message. When I called down to ask at the front desk I was told I would need to bring the devices downstairs since whomever I was speaking with was more visual and needed to see what I was talking about to be able to help me. My husband was in the shower and I was trying to connect my toddler's iPad so that I could get ready. Coming downstairs with my toddler was not convenient and I'm not sure what she needed to see when I told her what I had tried and the error message I was receiving. It clearly stated my name was not in the system.
I also forgot to mention that even though I clearly indicated that there would be 3 guests on my reservation there were only enough towels and washcloths for two people so we also had to call and get extra brought up.

I went with my family when we were in Philadelphia seeing everything Philadelphia has to show. The front of house staff was extremely helpful and nice. Our room was always cleaned and had the linens cleaned and provided us with extra towels throughout our stay. The staff was also able to provide us with great recommendations of where to eat and what to do and skip around the city.

Waited 20 mins to check in while the 1 check in person was on the phone handling customer service calls. Check in line was 8 people deep. Room is consistent Courtyard, which is nice. Bar/grill staff was great. Air conditioner sounds like a lawnmower. And the one thing that is really grinding my gears is I have no towels. Unless hand towels count. Called the front desk and was told they will be there shortly. So 40 minutes later, no towels and I need to go to sleep for an early rise. At the end of the day- give me a clean , relatively quiet , and basically equipped room. I’m not asking for anything beyond what you claim is your brand. If you can’t do that you are missing the point. Disappointed, but I also understand that staffing across the industry is challenging due to COVID. But if you are charging me full freight I would like a towel and a quiet room to rest- otherwise known as a hotel room.

My wife and I stayed here for 3 nights due to a local music festival in the area.
We were able to check in early which was nice. The staff at the front desk were nice. Few negatives about the hotel were: musty stagnant smell in room hallways due to no ventilation . We arrived to our room and the digital key did not work. Room was clean and modern, except for the thermostat which was an old sliding button one in which it was either on or off. Only one towel was in the bathroom for a shower and the trash can liners were not put in the trash cans they were just lying on the can. There were no paper towels in the kitchen just an empty paper towel holder. The hotel staff reached out to me by text about how my stay was going and when I mentioned the few issues there was no follow up or reply.
Would I stay here again ? Yes as it was convenient. Parking can be a bit tricky also. Breakfast was average and I noticed what appeared to be a few not so clean plates for our food. Should have had a better experience for being a diamond member as I was just offered 2 bottles of water on check in and no snack items

I stayed at the homewood suites in Philadelphia in may 2022. They booked our room to another couple while we were there, the couple attempted to enter our room with an active key. They dont have a working payment system and will tell you that you didnt pay for your room, when the records clearly show you pay in full. They will make promises to offer points for their short comings and haven't dont fullfil the promise. The whole thing was a nightmare.

When ever their is a report of possible Bed Bugs in a room the room is taken out of service immediately and our exterminating company is contacted to do a full investigation. The room is not put back into service until cleared by the exterminating company.
Its not a quick walk, However I have had guest do it several times but it's a 30 min walk and its not a lot of curb you will be walking on a grass road for sometime.
If you want to be near the ball stadiums I suggest a hotel in center city or south philly. This hotel is a bit too north to be convenient to the stadiums.

There is valet parking next door at the Hilton that you can use. It's $10 per night. The hotels are connected on the 2nd floor. There is a parking lot, not a garage, about a 1/2 block away and across the street.
