Hotel's Favourite
Boutique style hotel in a great area. I was able to walk everyplace I wanted to go to.
Parking is across the street. The gym is a block away and included with the hotel. Its a 5* gym, way better than any hotel gym. This is a great service that they offer. Breakfast is simple and healthy.
The room was small and at the front of the building. Very clean and well appointed. Like some other people said, you can hear the noise from the street below. I actually loved that. It gave me a real city feel. The hotel staff are amazing, they always asked where I was going, and later they asked how it was and if I enjoyed it. No complaints whatsoever. I would definitely stay here again. I felt like it was home after a few days.

I was pleasantly surprised about my stay Red Lion Inn & Suites in Philadelphia!
The room was large, and spacious. The bed was extremely comfortable, bedding felt new and clean and the pillows and mattress were a wonderful firmness. I had a great sleep!
The room was furnished with a large table, 2 side tables, a desk and a folding luggage storage rack. The mounted flatscreen television provided many news and entertainment channels.
The bathroom was spacious and clean! Toilet was modern and the shower was fully enclosed by glass casing. My only complaint was that the temperature of the water was luke warm. Pressure was good however! Amenities included 2 bar soap, a little bottle of shampoo and a little bottle of moisturizer!
The room came with many extra amenities I was not even expecting including a keurig coffee maker with coffee pods, a mini fridge and a microwave. These amenities were very nice to have on hand and I used them all! Fantastic!
Wifi was password-protected and signal was strong in the room and throughout the hotel.
I left too early for breakfast, so I am unable to comment, however I did appreciate that coffee and small snacks were left out 24 hours a day, so I was able to nab a couple of apples and a coffee on my way out the door.
I didn't notice any air conditioning in the room, but the room was cool as it was so I wasn't complaining.
The stairs are very narrow, the decor is pretty dated and the elevator is slow. Minor things, but worth noting.
Staff were exceptional! I was allowed early check-in without fuss or charge and staff were there to answer all of the questions I had! Very courteous and professional!
I really enjoyed my stay here overall, and definitely would stay here again! I feel the hotel is exceptional value for the location (within walking distance all of the sightseeing attractions in the centre, and maybe 2 km by foot to the "Rocky stairs" and attractions outside of the immediate centre). There are many places to eat in the immediate vicinity of the hotel (Chipotle, Starbucks etc.) as well as a large supermarket about a 10 minute walk from the hotel. The main train station (Amtrak) is about 35 minutes by foot from the hotel.

NOT GOOD FOR DISABLED PERSONS.
This hotel is close to Historic Philadelphia. Thats the only good thing I'll have to say.
McDonalds would have been a better breakfast.
Hallways were cramped and elevator was too small.
Stay away from this place if you use a walker or a wheelchair.
Its nearly impossible to let someone out in front of the hotel and not risk receiving a parking summons.
This hotel is close to Historic Philadelphia. Thats the only good thing I'll have to say.

The stay was great and staff was super friendly. The breakfast options were good. The location is perfect to go anywhere as everything is nearby. The bed was comfortable and the room was spacious for the two of us. If we come back to Philly we'd surely visit again.
