Perfectly located in the heart of Philadelphia. Adjacent to Rittenhouse Square and vibrant eateries. Comfortable large room with unique decorative touches. Breakfast in the Speakeasy room was a nice touch. Staff was friendly and helpful.

From the moment I spoke with James on the phone to inquire about a room around Valentine's Day weekend, I knew we were going to have a fantastic experience! We spent three nights in room 212, which included a fireplace (electronic), and a comfy Queen bed. The staff were on their game, and we felt right at home. We've stayed in Philly many times, and the Rittenhouse 1715 did not disappoint! Where else can you feel like you're in a European Countryside Inn, right in the heart of downtown Philly!

From Joyce greeting us with her beautiful smile, to Jenna's helpful suggestions in the afternoon, to Al's excellent suggestions and lively conversation during the Inn's nightly wine & cheese service, the Inn's staff succeeded in having two NYC-dwellers relax!

Thank you's also go to Victor in the overnight staff and Tina, for their help and guidance to enjoying Philly.

The Inn was spotless, and the room complete with great amenities such as plush terry robes and slippers, Moulton Brown products, and a Niagara Falls-like waterfall shower.

We will definitely be back! Thank you!

We spent one night and would not hesitate to return. The hotel is superbly located around the corner from Rittenhouse Square with parking across the street or around the corner. It is a classic old building that retains it’s character while providing modernized comforts. Our room was quite and roomy enough for two. Featuring a very nice shower and bath with quality amenities such as ample electric outlets (a pet peeve of mine), hair dryer, TV and great bedding and towels. it could use an extra chair and suitcase stand, but that would probably have been provided if requested. We had to depart too early for the free continental breakfast, but the evening wine and cheese was a nice bonus. And the price for this area of the city was very reasonable.

I booked this hotel for my 85 yo parents. They had to walk up 2 flights of stairs to get to their room. I was told the only other option was a room that needed to be cleaned. The young person offered to clean the room but fully admitted he was not trained to do so. After a long discussion, my parents had already settled in their room and did not want to move. I remained worried they would fall walking up and down the stairs. The “breakfast” included cheap grocery store packaged pastries, room temp juices and make your own coffee. We had to ask for plates and silverware. The eating area is in the lobby on some bench chairs with small tables that provided no room to place ones plates or cups. After complaining, the manager reached out to me and offered a partial refund but I never received any sort of compensation.

Dear DeJ, Thank you for providing this important feedback regarding your stay. I sincerely apologize to you and your parents for the lack of information about the hotel design and elevator access. Our breakfast options continue to increase in both quantity and quality as we are gaining more space after our initial opening in March. We hope you consider having your parents return in the near future to stay with us again and please reach out to us prior to their arrival so we can ensure they are in an elevator accessible room. Sincerely,

This was a lovely hotel in a perfect location to enjoy lots of what Philly has to offer! The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and the bathroom was amazing! I especially appreciated the extra large bath towels. There was a wine and cheese reception in the drawing room in the evening, which lead to some nice conversation with other guests. Fresh pastries were provided in the morning along with tea and coffee. There was a small fridge with drinks in the lobby as well as snacks. I loved the European vibe and the character of the space. I’ll definitely be back!

I'm not sure what we loved more - the beautiful and comfortable rooms, the genuine warmth and hospitality from the staff, or the perfect location in Center City! For us, it was probably the staff that made our stay so wonderful. At a crazy reasonable price, you get a European boutique experience and we loved every detail about our stay. Can't say enough good things about this little gem of a hotel. SPECIAL NOTE: Their COVID protocols were spot on and made us feel extra safe.

1715 Rittenhouse is located around the corner from the picturesque Rittenhouse Square. It is a short walk away from a number of delicious restaurants and bars. This area is popular for couples (like ourselves) but also college graduates and their families.

The staff at 1715 are wonderful to work with. Before I booked my reservation, I requested a video tour of the property to ensure it would be perfect for my engagement weekend and they were incredibly accommodating. They informed me of the hotel’s humble beginnings as an AirBNB and of their expansion that is underway.

The décor and unique design of each room is what won me over. It truly is a boutique hotel and is currently undergoing renovations to meet their standards. The staff make EVERY attempt to ensure that these changes do not affect your stay. They will also give you great recommendations for sightseeing and eating.

Be aware that parking is not included in your reservation. The doorman will kindly mind your vehicle as you check-in and out so that you will not get ticketed. You will be given a list of all public parking garages in the area that they partner with (we recommend the Lattimer Garage for a short walk away with the most reasonable price).

We cannot wait to work with these folks again!

On the plus side, this truly is a fantastic location: walking distance to so many things, easy cab ride to the train station, right in the heart of things, but on a relatively quiet street. The decor and general feel of the hotel reminded us of charming, older European hotels, but our room (The Jane) was much larger than most in Europe :) The staff were 100% helpful and welcoming, including in the speakeasy bar, where we had great drinks. So why not 5 stars? There were little things but they added up: the bed was a bit firm, the sheets a bit rough, the hot water a bit difficult to achieve, and we heard some noise from the street, the neighboring room, and even the room below (it came up through the vent). Fortunately, none of the noise happened when we were sleeping so, overall, we were well-rested. The continental breakfast is great for folks who like continental breakfasts, but I need some cooked eggs and a latte, so we ended up going out--fortunately, there are lots of cafes and restaurants close by. I think the price is warranted by the location, the quality of the service, and the truly charming decor, but I'd want the basics of what I need in terms of bed, shower, and breakfast to be different in order to pay that much again.

Dear Lesley_ey, Thank you for taking the time to provide such detailed comments about your experience at our hotel. We value our guests feedback, and we are glad you were over-all satisfied with our product. I also want to apologize for the challenges with the flow of the hot water, firmness of the bed and roughness of the sheets, I informed both our Housekeeping and Maintenance departments of these issues, and a resolution is in process. We plan to add a few more items to our complimentary Continental Breakfast as the year is moving along and we hope you are able to return to experience the changes. Sincerely, Doug Osborne - GM

Housed in an early 20th century building, Rittenhouse 1715 has an old-school boarding house feel to it. Our room was cozy with classic decor and a non-working fireplace. Because of COVID, there was no breakfast service, but the friendly staff brought us some complementary fruit and muffins in the morning. The location is pretty much ideal. It is close to great restaurants, but on a quiet side street. I suspect this won't be our last visit, either.

1715 on rittenhouse is a carefully designed boutique hotel conveniently located off of rittenhouse square. It is within east walking distance to retail, restaurants, the Kimmel center and jazz clubs. The staff is cheerful and helpful (restaurant recommendations) and the room and common spaces are warm, immaculate and well appointed. If you value the quaintness and charm of old Philadelphia with modern amenities, you will enjoy this hotel.
