On a recent trip to the US I had a stop over in Philidelphia .My flight to Orlando was cancelled because of hurricane Nicole , so American Airlines put me up in this hotel for the night.
There is a Shuttle bus for the hotel just outside the airport by no 4 signpost. The hotel is a modern hotel with a restaurant and bar.
I had bite to eat in the restaurant, ordered the beef burger with a fried egg in it. A bit unusual but! very tasty served with chips .The server (SURISH ) I hope that`s the way to spell his name was very friendly.
Overall nice hotel.

We stayed for one night for a concert at the Wells Fargo Center. The Wells Fargo Center was about a half hour walk from the Holiday Inn. Although we took a ride share to the venue, we did end up walking home after the show and enjoyed the walk. We found our room to be comfortable, large, and clean. The bathroom looked to be recently updated. The room had a refrigerator and coffee maker. All contributed to our positive experience. The one negative was that upon arrival our room was not ready until after 5pm. To be fair, the hotel was sold out due to the popularity of the concert we were attending. I would like to thank Jay at the front desk. At check out, I politely asked if he would consider waiving my parking fee due to the delay in our room not being ready at the regular check in time and he was able to do that. I very much appreciated that courtesy and would consider staying at this property again.

I would not recommend this hotel. Overpriced. Food in restaurant is terrible. Maid service is inadequate. They would come down the hall banging on doors-not knocking but POUNDING-yelling at the top of their lungs HOUSEKEEPING! HOUSEKEEPING! We left our room around 12:30 pm and the maids didn’t come to our room. We had to go to the front desk to get coffee and toilet paper-they wouldn’t bring it up. Some employees were fairly nice and several were quite surly. Rooms were clean and nice.

Dear Guest, Thank you for sharing your feedback. We’re sorry that your experience fell short of expectations and appreciate you bringing these concerns to our attention. It’s disappointing to hear about the noise, lack of service from housekeeping, and the issues with the restaurant. This is not the standard of service we aim to provide, and we will be addressing these matters with our team to ensure improvements are made. We’re glad you found the rooms clean and nice, and we hope you’ll give us another opportunity to provide a better experience in the future. Thank you for choosing Holiday Inn Philadelphia. Hotel's Favourite
I viewed this page after our stay this weekend and I'm glad i waited until after to do so! The reviews for the hotel are older, from before Holiday Inn took it over. From what I gather, it used to be a Radission that was run into the ground, but was taken over by Holiday Inn and fully restored. We stayed there this weekend, and were very impressed in all areas. The room and all its furnishings, carpets, curtains, sheets, etc. appeared basically new (I think the hotel just re-opened recently). It was a really great hotel room. Spacious enough, very clean. The staff was really pleasant and cheery, from the front desk people, to the valet car parker, to the room cleaners. We were in room 1108 which had a perfect view of the Philly skyline. We were a 20 minute walk to the stadiums (saw the Phillies games Sunday), and the valet parking was actually a nice bonus that you can just leave your key at the front desk and they'll park it and bring it out for you. No complaints at all from our stay, and would recommend to anyone coming to the area. Don't let the old reviews talk you out of the hotel, they've done a great job of restoring it!
As for the neighbourhood around, it seems really nice. There was a review talking about avoiding it at night or whatever, but it seemed fine. A middle class/working class neighbourhood, but everyone we met/saw seemed great. Saw zero evidence of any homeless/drugs/police/etc. A cool grid of streets surround the hotel with no laneways, all on-street parking, allowing for just a thin lane of one-way traffic to go down which was kind of unique. We enjoyed the drive through here, lots of century-old row houses well maintained, not a sketchy neighbourhood at all. There's a big diner restaurant directly across the street too that looks pretty good, but we didn't have time to try it.

Horrifying experience. First tip off that things were not going to bode well … my Lyft driver told me - "whatever you do don't leave the hotel at night since it's in such a dangerous area." OK, duly noted.
After checking in, I went to room 705 and put my key card in only to have the clearly damaged door push open by itself – with lights on inside the room. Pretty creepy. Turns out no one was in the room – but the door locking mechanisms were broken including the manual bolt. I will post photo of what the damage door looked like.
I was put in another room on the same floor that smelled very musty, but I was exhausted and just cracked open the window to get some air.
After an hour in bed, I woke up with bites on my feet and on both legs! I put my clothes back on and slept on top of the other bed with one pillow case on top of me to keep warm. 100% pathetic situation.
I shortened my stay by one night and checked out the next morning and booked at the Study Hotel in the university area, which was an absolute godsend!
I took some additional photos of the Radisson to show how shabby and unprofessional the entire operation is.
Also -there were signs in several locations for a breakfast buffet – but when we went, we were told it was for staff only! So why did they have signs in public areas advertising that there was breakfast? For guests… there was a closed restaurant – and an option for five dollar cups of coffee from an urn by the registration desk!
This is clearly a property to avoid until there is a major change of management and restoration of the property.

Stayed here for three nights. Can hear neighbors yelling, laughing and screaming all night. Bed linens are changed every 3 days so there is no maid service at all if you stay three nights. We had full garbage bins. Not good. Beds are hard. Room heater is loud. TV is cheap, blurry. Bathroom is so small and you have to fight to keep the shower door closed. not a good area for breakfast. especially Sunday AM. Don't go to the diner across the street. Not good at all. Also, all night long you can hear panic alarms on cars going off.

I stayed at the Radisson on Penrose in Philadelphia for 2 nights earlier this week
Firstly the room Wi-Fi did not work the 2 nights I stayed there. Informed the team and they assured me they would look into it but despite numerous conversations it was never resolved.
I was told that I should come work in the hotel bar instead as it was working there, but I had online meetings to take which I could not have in public and had to miss them as a result.
No cable in the room, just terrestrial/ terrible tv channels and no movie options.
Extractor fan in the bathroom is so loud when the light goes on (on the same switch so you cannot turn it off) it truly is ridiculous.
FINALLY I was woken by the person in the adjacent room at 3am with the television on full blast and my room full of weed smoke that was coming under the gap of the connecting door.
When I spoke to someone covering reception (some security guy or cleaner his reply was “well I smell weed on you, looks like you're the one smoking” which was entirely my point in mentioning this!
He went and got someone on reception and nothing was done except they offered me free parking upon check out.
Oh and that's another thing, they charge you for parking at the hotel, which is on the hotel grounds and isn't even secure.
I was stopped and searched on my way through airport security later that day because of the smell of weed on my clothes and my entire suitcase when i opened it to take out my laptop.
I emailed corporate when I was at the airport in order to send my feedback and 3 days later i have not had an acknowledgement of receipt or any reply.
Fair enough if someone smokes there isn't a huge amount a hotel can do about the event, but once they have been told then they should make it right!

They nailed WrestleMania weekend.
When I made my reservation 14 months ago, I was worried that the then-Radisson might lose my reservation or be unable to handle the crowd WrestleMania weekend. Thankfully (and somewhat embarrassingly), those worries were completely unfounded. My room was not only ready to go, but check-in was a breeze. The room was comfortable and I very much enjoyed the breakfast buffet (though I will say that there needs to be a way of making sure that customers either have a voucher or pay before they start serving themselves to avoid stealing and/or confusion over whether or not it’s free). Next time there’s an event in the “stadium district,” I won’t think twice about staying here.

A friend and I stayed at the hotel the end of July (29 & 30) for two nights. We were in Philly to see a show and were very happy with the location and the hotel. We were up on the 15th floor, the entire room was very clean and just the perfect size for us. The room had two queen size beds, a nice armchair, a big flat screen TV and pretty much everything else you would need for your stay. Absolutely loved the shower (the shower drain was something I had never seen before, it didn't even look like a drain....no water pooling at your feet in this) and the bed has to be the most comfortable bed I had ever slept on.
I'd also like to say that the staff were all very kind, pleasant and very professional.
When we arrived on the 29th to check in, the young man working at the desk (I am sorry I do not remember his name) was being berated by a patron (it was horrible the way he was being spoken to) and he remained very dignified and professional with his interaction with her.
Parking was a little bit of a challenge but we always managed to find a spot.
If we ever need to visit that area in the future, we will definitely stay there again.

Stay somewhere else, even if you are going to an event at the sports complex. Not only is this place a ripoff ($449 per night or a middle of the road hotel, not including parking occupancy tax, etc.), but they told me that a $100 security charge was built in to the bill and would be credited to my account in 5-7 business days. It's been almost 2 weeks, still no credit. When I called yesterday, the woman told me she would check with her manager and call me back. Nobody called, and when I checked with her again today, she didn't remember me and then had no update. Plenty of other places nearby, even though this place is 5 minutes from the stadiums, it's not worth the price, bad service and aggravation.
