The Cambria Hotel Philadelphia enjoys a central location that many guests appreciate for its convenience to public transit and nearby attractions. The hotel's atmosphere is often described as stylish and comfortable, with modern touches such as Bluetooth speakers and a lively rooftop club enhancing the experience. We stayed here for one night during the holidays in December 2019. The location is very central close to the city hall and Christmas village, Kimmel center, walnut and chestnut streets shopping, and Ritten house square, all within walking distance. The room was spacious and clean. Staff were professional and kind. The only little inconvenience was the glass sliding door to the bathroom, which made it hard to use in the middle of the night because it made a lot of noise. Otherwise, very nice hotel with great staff.

My wife and I stayed three nights in a corner king room. The room was quite large and had a nice view of Broad Street. The room was remarkably quiet for overlooking Broad Street although there certainly was some street noise at night. The bathroom was clean and the walk in shower was welcome after a day out in the warm weather. The hotel location is great for riding the subway and the Broad Street Line station is very close to the hotel with easy access to the Phillies game. The express train after the Phillies game made its first stop at the station nearest to the hotel. We easily walked to the Reading Street Terminal for breakfast and the Market Frankford Line station to take the subway to the Independence Hall area. We felt safe in the downtown area although we were not out late at night. There are lots of street people so you need to be prepared for them asking for money. All in all, not unlike what we experienced in a recent trip to downtown LA. We did not dine at the hotel as there are lots of nearby restaurants. We did have a drink at the bar and found the bartender to be friendly and a good spokesperson for Philadelphia sightseeing. The only odd thing about the hotel is the soap or rather lack of soap. Upon arrival we noted the bathroom sink had no soap so I asked housekeeping in the nearby hallway for soap. I was informed she had no soap but she gave me a couple of small bottles of shower gel. Not the most convenient way to wash your hands but it worked. Ironically, the shower gel dispenser in the shower was mostly empty upon arrival and never was refilled (we ran out after the first night). Housekeeping serviced the room daily and fortunately left us a couple of those small bottles of shower gel daily so at least we had that. More of an inconvenience than anything but definitely an odd thing. We would stay here again since the room was clean and the location was very convenient.

Thank you for your positive feedback and for mentioning our convenient location. I apologize for the inconvenience caused by the lack of soap and shower gel during your stay. Our vendor, who supplies our hotel, recently upgraded their computer system, which has resulted in significant delays of up to three weeks in their deliveries.

Our stay here was just average. However, the service at the hotel wasn't great when we visited Philadelphia. Our room wasn't ready by check in time and when we tried requesting late checkout through text message, we got no response. The first room we were given upon check in wasn't cleaned well as there was a weird smell/odor in the room and stains on sheets. So, we requested to switch to another room, which was cleaner. We stayed here in August 2019 and there were quite a few flies in the lobby as well which was uninviting. But, that's probably because we visited the area in the summer time. Location is good, but there are better hotels in the area for around the same price. Overall, it was an average experience. It's a decent hotel for a night stay, but if the duration of the stay is longer, I would stay in neighboring hotels. The Notary Hotel was excellent when I stayed there on my last visit.

I thought the hotel was very nice and the location was great. Our room was clean and comfortable. I’m guessing that currently due to COVID they are not doing any cleaning of rooms during your stay, which we didn’t mind but it was not communicated to us. On our third day I had asked the front desk for some items to replenish our room and was told they would bring it to our room. The never did. The hotel staff was not able to accommodate anything we asked for including simple directions to local sites. We were a bit disappointed. They were not overly friendly and didn’t go out of their way to help out.

This was a beautiful hotel and given the location I had high expectations when I flew to the city for a wedding. The hotel has terrible management. Veey disorganized, especially with a large wedding reserving rooms. I booked 4 rooms for my family and only 2 were ready by 6pm on Thursday. The service was poor with the exception of Collum and his trainer (didnt catch her name) at the front desk. They were great but management did not set them up for success. The bartender and wait staff actually seemed irritated taking your order and if you dared to ask for silverware or a napkin. I knew the food would be overpriced but I didn't expect it to be terrible as well. We all know since Covid protocols are in place you don't get your room cleaned but you should get fresh towels and the trash emptied. I asked for the mold and mildew to be cleaned from the shower twice and gave up. Simple spray of Tilex would have taken care of the situation. Considering it was so bad the fungus grew fuzzy spores. I requested towels and soap 3 times from housekeeping and was ignored. So I took them off a cleaning cart myself. We came back one evening to have our keys not working. Which is a major pain as one elevator is used exclusively for the rooftop bar. Since the Bellvue, W and Ritz are across the street and down the block on Broad Street you would think they'd actually care more. I would never stay here again. I would definitely hire Collum for any customer service position.

Although the hotel has potential, it's managed very poorly, leaving room filthy. First night, no towels at all, empty shampoo and body wash, empty tissue, stains on the headboard, things on the floor, ice bucket with water, you name it, the housekeeping just doesn't do their job. Items requested took over 30 minutes and another call. Front desk lies, claiming they don't carry shower mats or hand towels. Next day, no housekeeping. Called, and they said it had to be requested. I requested it. Trash and used towels were taken, new towels and bed sheets were left in a pile. The bed wasn't made and the floors were cleaned. Tip was taken. Management does nothing. I don't know why this company lets this go on. I was fooled on Expedia. Don't be fooled. It's disgusting. This isn't a fluke. I was traveling with friends. Their room was exactly the same. In fact, at checkout, someone came down because their toilet was stuck and no one was coming. The front desk person was repeatedly saying the room number because housekeeping was playing dumb. Yet, they are letting this happen!

I stayed 2 nights and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The room was absolutely beautiful and the beds were very comfortable! The room & bathroom were super clean, spacious, and well stocked with towels and toiletries. The staff were attentive and kind! The housekeeping employee was on the floor as I came in and out a couple of times and every time she saw me she would ask if I needed any towels or cleaning services. They were amazing and I can tell they wanted to make sure I was comfortable throughout my stay. The location of this hotel is amazing right in the center of downtown and had lots of restaurants in the area. There are also parks and kid friendly areas close by. I would recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Philly.

I had high hopes upon coming to this hotel. Mind you I am here now and have a few more nights to stay. I was treated very kindly by the front desk. No problem checking in. Got to my room, the room was clean. I know it was clean because I took some Clorox wipes and wiped high touch areas and cleaned the floor of the shower. The shower was clean. Beds comfortable. My spread had a couple of black places on it. I would not have put that spread on the bed but it wasn’t bad. Towels could use some replacing. Nothing says “worn out” like towels which are dingy like these. Now all in all what I have said so far would have rated this hotel a strong 3.5 to low 4. However, this is why I am giving this low score. Although check in was a breeze, the front desk did not tell me cleaning is only done upon request. So imagine my surprise and my friends surprise when our room was not made up. So I called the front desk and they explained. I thought, OK a covid regulation. So I asked for our room to be made up the next day. I was assured it would be. So the next day we come back from a king conference day and again the room is not made up. By now this is our 3rd day in the room and the trash cans are running over (because the trash cans are tiny) and you have wet towels on the floor in the bathroom in the way. BTW, when I went downstairs to alert the front desk to my situation (because I could not get them on the phone) there were others complaining about the same problem I was having. I was again assured our room will be cleaned tomorrow. We shall see.
This is not what one wants when one comes to a hotel in the city. Mind you, the price is fair for the northeast and the hotel is not a bad hotel. The bar is nice. Common areas are clean. However although this is not a bad hotel, it has a way to go before I would say it’s a great hotel.

We stayed here during the pandemic so perhaps this property was off its game. A number of reviews noted the poor staff attitude here and that was true for us. The check-in felt like we were bothering the staff. We asked about parking in the center city area and no one seemed to know. Really? Later we called down for a corkscrew to open a bottle of wine and completely unhelpful despite two closed restaurants on the property. We came down ourselves to the open steakhouse on the ground floor and they were more than willing to help us. I just wish the hotel staff was as helpful during our stay.

I really don't know as I did not have access to all corner rooms....but in our room the window was very small and did not overlook anything but the alley below. This did not concern us as we knew it would be a quiet room without all the traffic. It's a nice place.

Thank you for reaching out ! The hotel offers valet parking through a third party vendor at a cost of $45 per night with unlimited in and out privileges. There are also several self parking options available in the area if you don't plan on using your vehicle. There are several breakfast options in the area that are family friendly. One of the favorite local spots is Green Eggs and Ham and it's a block away. We look forward to seeing you soon !!
